+1 Same here since the update ... I’m hearing it also when I’m sat in the F18 cockpit flying and at the upper speed it sounds as though there is a prop plane near me .... causing me to pivot head and check six .... Anyone else picking this up ....

Thanks Thanks fellas... having only ever been a sim pilot .... it’s good to hear how the tech and software compares to the life it’s modelled on..... IMHO VR and the immersion it brings takes flight sims to the next level... Having come from key presses to look around modding the PS3 Cam, then TrackIR to VR, yes you lose resolution but once you try it I reckon you’ll be hooked..... Jim

+1 Same as QuiGon I play a lot of PS BF and it’s horrendous on there at the mo... Specs: i7 8700K oc to 5Ghz 32gb Mem ASUS z370 gaming Zotac 1080ti amp extreme M.2 Nvme’s SSD’s Etc etc...

I have noticed that a while now every time I boot the game and in each aircraft I’m having to set up my VR head position ... previously I used to set it after an update and save via RIGHT ALT+Numpad 1 or 0... Then if during the game if I reset my head position with my HOTAS shortcut it goes to where I want it .... but it’s a pain having to reset up each time ... is this normal or is there a fix somewhere I’ve missed while killing shit with Mavs in the Hornet .. Sorted game reboot....

Sat in the F15 and trying to slew my warthog mouse on my throttle for my radar cursor and nothing happening ... go into key bindings and can’t seem to remap ... anyone else replicate this issue ... Jim

Evening All, Totally agree with the first post ... having been with DCS since the beginning A10C release back in 2010/2011.. migrating to VR and pumped enough money into the majority of modules. I’m losing the will to support this system where modules are left incomplete 4 years on (Hawk) and illogical diversions to the game development from trains cows, the yak and the other waste of time module ... The logic in development seems disjointed..... Having spent a ton of cash on a top of the range system ... i7 8700K Oc 5Ghz,32GB Mem, 1080ti 11gb nvme drives, Oculus, Thrustmaster Warthog etc... the works, running any other game or app my specs bearly break into a sweat in VR yet somehow this game is struggling to organise its core usage, memory leakage and utilisation correctly. Then your worried about the next patch taking 1 step forward and god knows how many steps back .... current release included... It’s a shame as I’m waiting for F14 from heatblur but since the bad taste in my mouth from purchasing modules that months down the line are still in “alpha/beta” I won’t be buying anything else until such a time as the core game is nicely stable let alone module integration... Exceptions to poor modules are Razbam with Mirage and Harrier as well as the Gazelle from Polychop ... and with what seems a repackage coming this autumn another branch that will no doubt draw resources away from core components .... This is getting as bad as EA’s crate scam, That’s my two pennies worth .... biatch over... Jim

Hotfix Applied Hotfix applied, Map fixed but vr view still biffed... jittery, laggy, swooshy feeling when moving head side to side .... Still unplayable .... Jim

VR Still biffed. Back on tonight after the crap patch yesterday ... the map is fixed but the cockpit in vr is laggy and jittery .. wooshy when moving to either side like the cockpit isn’t fixed .. I have deleted the lua and the fxo and metashaders folders.... This is the worse I’ve seen in VR its horrendous, what have u done ED. Specs: i7 8700K OC to 5ghz, ASUS Strix Gaming Z370 ... Zotac 1080ti amp extreme ... 32GB Ram, 500gb nvme drives for os and separate for games ...+. Don’t know what you’ve done but really poor and almost unplayable in VR at this time... I did drop back to previous version last week .. all good in that .. then reapplied the new update and its dog ????..... Jim

Morning, DBurne, have you done the latest update .... seems odd both myself and my brother updated same time both using rifts ang both getting same issues with floating cockpits / map ... will try your suggestion when I get back tonight after work, can’t be any worse ... There was another forum string reporting this I saw but I could find it again to post .... Thanks Jim

Evening, Carried out update tonight and in VR its borked ... in game as you move your head the cockpit doesn’t seem to be locked still it’s as if the cockpit moves in opposite direction ... easier to explain if you then open f10 look at map then same motion ish .. ie all my map symbols don’t match up with background, ie locked with the background and as you move mouse around it’s as if your looking at a stacked 3D map. Oculus VR user ... same in both multiplayer and single instant action.. when going back to menu screen seems to be like map and floats around not locked in space and position ... Jim

Same here Me and my brother fly with VR and both of us have noticed this, seems to be more prevalent recently and again seems to introduce itself when swapping aircraft. Only way to clear seems to be quit out and reload back in game .... Not down much more investigating than that at the mo.. Jim

Anyone else report since today’s update simple radio doesn’t seem to connect in the F18... no issues in the other jets ... Jim

Evening ... It’s been a while in the hog but jumping into tonight in VR after an age of not being in this bird and I feel the cockpit textures seem to have shrunk, ie the buttons seem small and the throttles seem small .... the whole setup looks odd ... I’ll have t try and get a pic but each button looks undersized for the panel it’s on etc... Any ideas Jim
