looking at all those pic,s..almost wet myself  You are a very resourceful man I can't wait to see what you create next I would like to know ,now that there is a real one available, what is the height of the canopy frame above the fire control handles? Btw congratulations on your find:beer: Randy

I have to agree with you on that one Ken, although the visuals might be great with this newer tech. I still think really touching and feeling a personally homebuilt cockpit will be hard to beat my 2 cents worth Randy

Wow ya never fail to amaze me Thanks Randy

Intrepid1 replied to Gremlin77's topic in Home Cockpits
Gremlin; Do you have any pic's of the saitek gauges working? I would like to see that or a video. The fact that saitek wouldn't make their stuff usable, and you figured it out really impresses me. Randy -
You have come a long way I like it  Randy

TM Warthog - Zoom Friction Slider
Intrepid1 replied to Tetra's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Tetra I am using the slider the way you are proposing and what I did was adjust the curves in the Options /Controls /Axis tune panel for Joy slider 1 The dead zone is set to "0" saturation X and Y are set to "100 Slider and user curve at Ticked and the vertical slider numbers across the bottom are 0 29 45 57 65 71 77 83 89 95 100 You may have to adjust these values for your preference but this will get you started without having to mess with the lua's I hope the pik is ledgable Randy -

I am using that slider as a zoom function. It's so nice and smooth compared to the saitek x-52 I use to have ,the sliders and rotaries I tried to use were glitchie and would not give me a steady zoom. I really am blown away by the quality of this hotas Randy -
Wow Frank I am so amazed at your creations You sir are an artist Randy

Need advice from 3+ screen users.

I have an older model video card ( gigabite gtx 275) What I did was hook a Matrox th2go to one of the card outputs and the 4th monitor to the 2nd video output. I am running 4 30" lcd TV's in a "T" config with the matrox looking after the 3 screens across the top and the 2nd video output running the lower part of the "T". This has served me well for for 4 years now Randy -

finally purchased a TM-Warthog
Intrepid1 replied to Intrepid1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
thanks for the quick reply's ,whartsell and Fulcrum My main goal was to use the paddle switch on the Joystick as a modifier so when I want to use the trim switch as a trim switch or with a modifier (paddle switch) as a p.o.v hat but the switch assignment in the options menu does not list the s4 as being able to be used as a modifier Is there a way to program the sim to be able to use something other than the listed modifiers on the options page? -
finally purchased a TM-Warthog
Intrepid1 replied to Intrepid1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have been practicing with the Default settings that were set up automatically when I installed the Hotas and stick. Now I would like to try a hand at the Target software, only problem is after reading the manual I still don't understand the limited explanation of the "Fly NOW!" quick launch In the "Create association Box" there are 3 box's to fill Title, Path and Associate configuration to fill in . The manual states; "In the Associate Configuration field, click the Browse button and select the profile that corresponds to the selected simulator. The T.A.R.G.E.T profiles are .fcf or .tmc type files" I am afraid I don't understand what I am to "Browse" for, do I have to create a Target profile first, or has one already been created somewhere in my computer when I installed the Target software -

"also as an early 50th birthday present" Welcome to the (old guys rule) club,Tiger Don that's very good info and exactly what I was looking for, I don't mess with more than one sim at a time as I cant remember the changing keys from one sim to another. M plan is to get the hog running well .Then have the commands reworked into FSX Thanks for the help Gents Randy -

Thanks Hans, I have wanted one for years and couldn't resist when I found them here for only $430.00 delivered everyone else was over 500 and no free delivery.. I cant wait ...lol http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/743173-REG/Thrustmaster_2960720_Hotas_Warthog_Flight_Stick.html/c/product/#inpage:IN+STOCK -
What might work better is to make angle sleeves that fit inside the corners than use the epoxy glue to fill in the gaps that would increase the glues contact area without making the footprint larger Randy

Hi everyone I finally purchased a new stick :joystick: (A 50th birthday present to myself) When it arrives, I was wondering are there any specific mods or cautions I should worry about that are not mentioned in the manuals that are supplied in the package. Any insite about how to make this beastie last a good long time would be appreciated Randy

Congratulations on the purchase  BTW I am jealous Cant find anything like that around here (Ontario Canada) Randy
