All things considered, I always perceived the Ka-50 to be something experimental, a model which never really got introduced in large numbers. A completely real simulation would see more Ka-52. I wouldn't have a problem with giving up ABRIS, but of course it makes no sense to withdraw a feature. I think ED's development of the Black Shark has ceased anyway. I don't think they will ever touch it again.

I want to have these on the Mi-8 too then!

There currently is no fix for issue #2.

Why would you recommend that in this case of the MiG-21bis? I put it on a button, so it is brake on or off and as far as I understand, brakes have to be in on state for the differential brake function of your pedals. So of what use may the axis be here?

simply do it yourself. You may find it somewhere inside \DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\MIG-21bis\Sounds

Don't know about the Fishbed, but generally drains in aircraft serve the purpose to remove waste fluids from the systems as a whole. Imagine it as a waste disposal for "spilled" respectively unburned fuel or oil vented out of some valves, so now waste fluids which have to get lost. This happens automatically by air draft and ducts.

Well normally you would then check on the morse ID. But I couldn't listen to it in the Mi-8 yet. I switched my SPU-7 to Radio and the dial to Arc, and turned up all volumes, but without avail so far...

Hehe, maybe in the piston engined vessels they expect the canopy to be light enough to let your shouting voice be audible outside :p

Ok this seems to be a multi-layered issue. We have 1. "old" mission with dysfunctional radio due to a new implemented desgin where opening/saving the mission in the me solves it 2. no radio functionality until the engine runs, regardless how we configure the electric system while startup 3. problems to reach appropriate radio stations due to a wrong channel list in the canopy, which reads channels 1 - 20 when it should read 0 - 19, so you actually have to subtract 1 from the shown table to contact the listed station If you pay attention to these 3 issues combined, contact with ATC should be possible "as normal". Wouldn't mark this thread as "resolved" though, as the proper corrections in game still need to be implemented.

On page 76 of the manual it says "Radio light goes on". Never found this light. Anybody?

I have the exact same problem, and I so far created my own custom mission from scratch. Could anybody please explain how to work around this problem?

In the past a/c releases featuring russian cockpits, I enjoyed them very much but still did make use of english tool tips. In the MiG-21bis it seems to be russian cockpit = russian tooltips. What do I have to do to have the russian cockpit with english tooltips here?

I tried to contact ATC by the new 4 MHz frequencies we have now. To my understanding this should work with the Jadro as these are valid frequencies for it. Didn't work though, tower didn't answer.

I have the 100- and the 10-kHz dial. But how to tune to 129 kHz? The 3rd little dial only features a scale starting at -10 to +20. That won't be what I am looking for, right?

Ok guys, can you tell me when did this change? I was abstinent from DCS for half a year or so. What is purpose of the communications key now? Is it only left for those dudes using easy comms? Don't tell me it worked that way since Mi-8 release, I never used easy comms...
