  1. I recommend looking up pages 88 and 91 in the latest DCS A-10C flight manual.
  2. You don't release a SPI, but you can reset the delivering SOI to the active steerpoint or to boresight with the China hat switch.
  3. You answered yourself
  4. Would you really take medication to be able to play a videogame?
  5. I dont think BMS prevails in simulating a F-16 but in offering dynamic campaigns and a breathing radio activity.
  6. Yes, I imagine the memory usage being around that one of global former Microsoft's Flight Simulators and Prepar3d. Seems to be no problem since this works there. Luckily they had coders realizing it would make no sense to have the game keep all the world's scenery, objects and beacons loaded into the memory at the same time.;)
  7. Crimean and southwestern Ukraine beacons are missing. Yes, there are some!
  8. As already said, these are steering bars in the ADI. You find ILS information on your HSI only. And that is why you have to select ILS on the NMSP before. No bug.
  9. Hi there. At first let me say, I don't have any knowledge of the real bird. Now, I am experiencing the F-86 having sort of almost none drag at upper speeds. If you cut off throttle down to idle you can glide enormous distances. You can even keep a climb but are losing speed only so slowly. Also if i pull the stick only a bit, having the ADI pointing the nose slightly above the horizon, I get huge climb rates instantly, mostly with my pilot coughing due to the G-load. It is very rare you can keep the bird steady for longer than a few seconds without getting into climb or descent rates beyound 1000 ft per minute. You can trim, but trimming affects the bird way slower than your next unintentional climb. Biggest problem being the huge climb/descent rates without having a significant shift of the horizon out of your cockpit. You have to watch your VSI constantly to hold level flight and this is not an easy task with your stick in the LOS to that instrument, even with TIR.
  10. I can't tell which module I would like to play more, as none was released yet and I never didn't fly any of them. How would votes preferring the Sabre over MiG help to state a community's wish to also get the MiG in the future? Regarding the OP's comment I don't understand his poll as long as the "like to have them both" option is missing since that would be a valid backing opinion to the context of this thread.
  11. without a stick, it doesn't really matter how to operate the flaps, since you will never be able to steer your aircraft smooth enough to actually enjoy precise flight paths anyway.
  12. Turn to target works for me as intended. Translational speed should be low, zero is best. Yaw channel AP must be on of course. It works.
  13. Don't slew it to the SPI, slave it with China Hat. Don't touch the slew steering at all.

  15. The tower control crew wouldn't know your waypoints. Their only job is to guide traffic through safe approach and arrival procedures. That is why you are ordered to maintain until achieving 300 ft. Of course RL ATC works totally different than what is displayed by DCS. That is why I unfortunately have to agree with
  16. works for me
  17. You can manage coalition assembly in the mission editor.
  18. Short summary: 1. You fear the probable slow download speeds occuring when downloading from one central source, since it may be placed way distant apart from your region. 2. You dislike torrents. 3. You would prefer all stuff downloadable from different region's ftp-sites like it was before.
  19. I don't think the term "better" can apply here. Equipment will be tailored for specific tasks. Redundancy and use of all receivable nav aids will be much higher in commercial aviation. Nav equipment in the military branch might be more light weight for example.
  20. I chose Ka-50 because I strongly support rotary winged aircraft with Professional Flight Model and Advanced Systems Modeling (ASM). Generally I buy all DCS stuff, got all the modules and look forward to EDGE, new (worldwide coverage) maps(!), F/A-18, and the next high fidelity rotary wing there will be...
  21. Thanks guys!
  22. I am not really sure what you are talking about. Since this is no 2D cockpit, there won't be any bigger cockpit panel as a kind of bitmap to be printed out.
  23. So the lesson to learn is to never use the default frequency of 124.000 MHz in MP. Sounds only smart, since otherwise this exact frequency would provoke numerous interferences in MP between too many company flights also using default settings.
