  1. Were you able to wire the two hats in, or is one non-functional?
  2. The server is on the east coast of the US, so GMT-5. We'd be glad to have you! Just hop on in the Teamspeak if you have any questions!
  3. The latest version of World, 1.2.2.
  4. Hey, I'm in a super laid-back group called Hoggit that flies weekly training missions to teach new pilots how to use the aircraft included in all of the DCS modules. After the recent sales, we've gotten a ton of new players that are really serious about learning the sim. Zelly, the guy who started the group, just recently built a computer that we use as a dedicated server and we've had training nights every night consistently for the last three weeks or so. Please come join us if you're interested! Our TS3 is hoggit.us and the link to our community is in my signature. Anyone is welcome of ANY skill level! We tend to do serious missions on Saturdays with TARS and casual ones during the week. Also, we have a European group that does training nights on Fridays around 8PM GMT. If you're interested in Arma, we have a group for that as well over at http://reddit.com/r/clearbackblast . Again, anyone is welcome! Hope to see you there!
  5. Horrible, isn't it? Now I'm not sure about Flaming Cliffs 2 (I haven't had it installed since FC3), but there should be a view.lua file you can edit to zoom out to the proper level to actually be able to see the inside of the cockpit. I changed the following line: CameraViewAngleLimits[su_25T] = {60.0, 140.0} and the default zoom now looks much better on my 1920x1080 monitor. The original minimum limit was 20 degrees, and I upped it for 60 for all of the Flaming Cliffs jets. My reason for doing this was that I can't use the Z-axis of my TrackIR and be able to adjust zoom levels in the Flaming Cliffs jets, so this was a good compromise without having to disable 6DOF functionality.
  6. With the group I fly with, we use "wire" since the vikhr is a beam-riding missile. Not sure if this is correct but it helps differentiate what's being fired.
  7. I'm using Windows 8 x64 and DCS World works perfectly.
  8. Just to clarify: these mirrors are only for show and do not actually function as mirrors?
  9. You won't find one for that price that will run DCS. Build a desktop instead.
  10. Whenever I fly one of the FC3 jets (other than the F-15) and first enter the cockpit, the view is slowly zoomed out to a bit wider FOV just like with any other aircraft in the game. However, when I use my TrackIR, the view is immediately zoomed back in to nearly having my face against the HUD. I cannot zoom out the view manually, nor zoom it in. I am only able to move my head forwards and backwards using my TrackIR. This happens in all of the non-6DOF cockpits. The Su-25T is the worst offender as you are zoomed in so far that you can only see half of the HUD. Is there a fix or a setting I can change that will use the correct default eye point without disabling my TrackIR Z axis? Any help is much appreciated.
  11. EDIT: This is probably in the wrong section. I have reposted it HERE. Mods, feel free to delete.
  12. Hopefully it fixes the regular crashes to desktop that came with 1.2.2
  13. Thanks Mustang! I love the Su-25 pit!
  14. What a steal. I paid $25 for my copy a couple years ago.
  15. I sure hope so. The Flaming Cliffs cockpits are pretty dated and Ricardo really did an amazing job. The Su-25 always needed a bit more love though. As much as I enjoy the T, there's something extremely satisfying about using the dated analog weapon systems in the standard plane.
  16. Is it possible to get that Su-25 (not T) cockpit into Flaming Cliffs 2?
  17. Frames per second. They're about halved in the newest update and it renders the game practically unplayable even on high end hardware. I'm glad I have my 1.1.1.1 install still working perfectly.
  18. Could you link to the smoke mod? I have a feeling that a major cause of the bad frame rates is the new smoke effects not being optimized. I use a GTX670 and also have suffered massive frame rate hits.
  19. Gotcha. Thanks for the help!
  20. Mustang, Thanks for the quick response. After the auto-update, my frame rates went back up to 50, and with the old high.lua file that you posted, I'm now back at an average of 55-57. However, the new explosion effects absolutely kill my frame rates down to around 15-20 when there are a bunch of them in a row. For example, a rocket salvo from the Su-25T. Hopefully this can be looked at.
  21. Glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing this. It's a very drastic drop. I would consistently get 60FPS and I'm now getting 30. For reference I'm running an i5-2500K at 4.5GHz, GTX670 FTW , and 8GB DDR3. Something must be really messed up to cause such a drop on my machine.
  22. After testing this out myself, this sounds like exactly what it's doing. It shifts to the side that is being fired from next.
  23. I was in the beta. The game is exactly the same as their other game "Wings of Prey", but with some new aircraft and an MMO subscription. Fidelity is decent but not realistic. The game is fun, but I would not pay a monthly fee to play it.
  24. So glad to hear it. Over at r/hoggit, we've been using 1.1.1.1 again just to use TARS. It adds so much immersion! Thanks for all your hard work Headspace!
  25. Origin? Ugh, what a mess that program/store is.
