  1. I was having the same wobbling problems at first and found it very difficult to hit anything on the ground or to keep a missile locked. Tuning the axis on the joystick fixed it for me. I have an extreme 3d pro and it has a bit of play when centered so I set some dead space in the center.
  2. Can't wait! I love Starway's northern Europe textures.
  3. It would be cool if all of the modules had that option though. That would probably cost more time and money to develop two modes for the same planes though. As it stands now it will probably take some weeks for me to get familiar enough to get the Mig-21 off the ground. I just don't have the free time to be able to devote to doing it in a day or two. I read in the manual about options for simplified systems and misunderstood it to mean less keys and sequences to memorise.
  4. Yeah this is going to take a lot of time studying before I can really get into blowing things up with it. I'll probably just get FC3 as well so I can have my quick action fun until I get all of these MiG-21 procedures memorised. Does DCS intend to make any more FC3 types of aircraft? I would love to get the MiG-31 and Su-30 flyable with their own cockpits. I have tons of fun in the Su-25T and Su-27.
  5. Hi guys, I just got the MiG-21 and found that there is waaaaaaaaaaay too much involved in getting started with it. Apparently there isn't a "game" mode for it like Black Shark. I get like 45 minutes to maybe an hour about four days a week that I can fly and I would really like to jump in and go instead of spending half of that time flipping switches. I have the Su-27 and the free Su-25T and those are great for me with the simpler system controls. So my question is, does anyone want to swap their FC3 for my MiG-21? Is that even possible? EDIT: I wound up getting FC3 anyway and I LOVE it. Anybody got a BS2 they want to trade?
  6. I wish the upgrade was still available. I got BS1 way back in 2010. I went to college and was out of the sim world for a long time. Now it looks like I'm having to buy Ka-50 again to be able to play it in DCS World.
  7. Yeah same here. I've gotta say those screens Mustang has been posting has the most real looking ground texture I've seen in anything.
  8. Doesn't work in 1.5 or 2.0. The real question is will Combatace want to get it to work or if he would have to start from scratch. I'm flying my Su-30 mod in 1.5 with an ancient stock 3d model that looks like it could belong in the original game lol. I just try not to look at it from outside the cockpit. The other option is to install a previous version of DCS. I'm hoping we could get this working again though. The Flanker looks so much better as a two seater.
  9. Would those Su-30 mods be made for 1.5/2.0? I see the files are no longer available for download.
  10. Does anyone know if this works? I've installed this mod in a lot of different places and even tried converting to DDS and renaming. Still nothing. http://www.****************/files/file/2392-dcs-world-russian-pilot-texture/ For some reason it covers up the site it's at lock on files with no spaces.
  11. Yeah I wasn't trying to start anything. I just didn't know if I should ask because I wasn't 100% sure of the purpose of the thread. There are plenty of reasons to keep a mod private. It may not be up to a useable standard. Some parts could have been obtained through less than legal means. I know Mustang and Starway make public mods with textures and such. That was the reason I was asking about the textures in Mustang's shots.
  12. Holy crap those are nice! Is it possible to share what mods you use to get such awesome ground textures? They look amazing. I'm also not 100% clear on this thread. Is it only for showing off own private mods?
  13. Oh I will have them all eventually. It's just so hard to decide which to start with lol. I loved the chopper experience with BS1 and I want to buy that one again but at the same time I'm also drooling over all of these new modules. I've only in the last couple of months got my rig upgraded to be able to run the new DCS World. Right now I am still mastering the free Su-25T (which I also love btw). The Gazelle just seems like it would be a very fun and interesting little troublemaker. I am a low and slow ground pounder at heart so choppers and attack A/C are my favourites.
  14. Yes I am looking at either the Gazelle or maybe MiG-21 for my next module. I got the original Black Shark back in 2010 and I still play it. I am years behind on DCS stuff though. I was completely out of flight sims for a few years and now I've got back into it mainly with old Il-2 46 and the new Battle of Stalingrad version. I was really surprised to see all of the new stuff going on when I started reading the forums here. I will have to buy Black Shark again as Black Shark 2 so I can play it in DCS World though apparently. So many new things coming out that I am going to have to make a budget lol.

Neither have I but I can't wait until someone announces it :)

This looks great! I can't wait to see DCS: MiG-3!
  17. When do we get Ka-52 Alligator?
  18. That is amazing. It's surprising how a paintjob can make a plane more than half a century old look so modern.
  19. I would love both the MiG-23 and the Su-22. I think the Su-22 should be first though given it has more in common with the Mig-21. I think it would be easier.
  20. Yeah I would definitely say MiG23 or SU22.
  21. I would have to say F-14A. Somebody needs to finally make a flyable Tomcat for DCS.
