  1. As Falcon says; yeah I've tried every different combination I can think of, also.
  2. I've been unable to fire Vikhrs in salvo also; just tried adjusting the salvo switch and even the timer switch -but still doesn't fire more than one. What I get is; fire one, wait 'till it hits, then after a couple of seconds and a repress of the fire weapon, another LA appears and I can fire another, etc. I do keep to the firing parameters, AFAIK. But I can fire Kh-25ML in any salvo I want!
  3. Yes, it says English download version -no mention of key as such. I assume it's the the same thing? *EDIT* Apologies... I didn't notice that the order number wasn't the serial/activation code... I just saw this big long number and thought thats gotta be it... -not that I didn't look elsewhere mind, it just wasn't nearly as obvious! Out-come is I'm working OK! :D Thx, anyway!

  6. Well, i'm going blue holding my breath waiting in excitement; but I'd rather it was as bug-free as possible rather than here 1 week earlier. Keeping myself distracted trying to think up all the new mission scenarios we can now make. Trouble is the more I think of, the more I can't wait for FC2... Thx Wags for the heads-up!
  7. Lots of good films mentioned here so far! Here's one to see if you love good actors and a 'pressure-cooker' atmosphere; The Hill http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hill_%28film%29 -it is about soldiers and it is set in WW2, just not about actually fighting (not one gun in the whole film, IIRC).
  8. Sorted; I hadn't realised I needed the NVid panel set to 'Global settings' to make AA work in bith the above... Thought I'd already tried it once, but no.
  9. I'm getting what looks like an antialiasing problem; I can't get rid of jaggies within both DCS and LOFC. It's as if the antialiasing ain't working, whatever I adjust withing the nVid panel seems to do nothing! Just upgraded some bits and now have Intel 2 core E7400 @2.80 Gz with nVid GeFroce 9800GT. Anything obvious I could do or check?:noexpression:
  10. Not seen it mentioned or asked anywhere, but, are we gonna be able to change weapon load-outs with the LOFC aircraft in game with FC2.0? Be a darned nice addition if we can! :) :) :)

  12. Not having time to watch your tracks I'd guess that you're flying over or around 300kmh? That will certainly bring you to the right conditions for clashing blades. Also flying into a strong head-wind would have the same effect; This is all explained in the manual, but basically it's to do with the lower of the blades when it is providing much more lift and thus being pivoted closer to the upper set. Sorry if it's not the best explanation...
  13. These do not work by impacting on the ground (if that's what you're doing) -they need to be fired at a reasonable altitude, preferably fired up so they climb a little. They will -after a shortish flight (cannot remember all the details now) where they deploy a flare on a chute. This then slowly descends giving a pretty good illumination to the area below. The use of these is described somewhere -sorry, will look later when I have time!

Speaking as a mission builder in the 159th, and from what I experience in our squad-flights, I would like to mention the biggest problems we are encountering with the mission-editor and when we're in MP flights. Actually making missions is a much more long-winded process than it is with LOFC; with LOFC I can make a good mission in between 1 and 2 hours and know it will work fine. With BS it takes at least 4 times longer to get a similar mission working -and even then I cannot be sure it will work correctly. The results after building a mission seem to work differently when you run missions in either single, multi-player or then again in MP on another machine. Each time you run a mission things happen differently or not at all (but not how you programmed them...). The biggest problems are the triggers, time-delayed units or similar; anything basically that is not just placed on the map in simple terms. I can get big missions to run fine if I just place units on the map and don't ask anything more than movement from them; if I start to do anything fancier then it is likely it won't work when we run the mission as a squad flight. The 159th has 3 main mission builders and we all have the same problems, so I think it must be software related and not specific to our machines. Is any work being carried out on the sim that will likely sort these issues out, or at least some of them? -It's a shame to have such a good machine to fly but then not be able to build the missions you really want to, to test yourself and the Ka-50!

When you click on the arming button for your AC when in the mission editor, the page for weapon selection appears; click on 'new' at the bottom, enter a name for the weapons you want and then right-click each space where there should be a weapon. You select from the drop down menu which you require (Kh-25ML are listed here). Hope this makes sense!
  16. OK, I have reinstalled both LO/FC and BS, and now it works fine in BS. -But still I have the above problem in LO/FC. I will install another flight-sim (I haven't got another on my PC at the minute) to try that. It seemed to me as if both LO/FC and BS got corrupted somehow, yet only BS is OK now.
  17. My X-52 has just started having an X and Y axis problem (aileron and elevator surfaces). This happens in both FC and BS. As you input the surfaces 'flutter' then when at max movement they cancel as if no input is being made. When you look at any test page, the X-Y movement seems fine. I've done the obvious things but nothing has changed, leading me to suspect that something has worn out. Anyone any the wiser?

  19. Yes, it is worth getting; I have TIR3 and have no experience with TIR4. Wouldn't dream of going with-out it now!
  20. My old 17" has just popped its clogs, so I'm needing a new one. I was thinking of going for either 19" or 21", perhaps. What's good for BS; is there one size thats' better than another? -and is there anything in particular I should look for in a new one? Oh, yeah, not too expensive though! Thnx, Archer

  24. Yep MT -of course- I tried all the obvious things. -Things including changing the A/C altitude etc. I built a mission with S-8TsM smoke and the AI does nothing. Change that same mission so He has normal S-8 rockets and He'll happily rocket the target all day! Have selected target as point as well, so he doesn't think He's gotta destroy it.
  25. I posted about this a while back and did also get SAB-100s to drop from AI; although I don't know whether fitting Mercury-pods made the difference or not in my case. I still haven't succeeded in getting AI to use S-8 smoke-marker rockets though. Anyone got anything on this?
