  1. It's completely down to personal preference! We know a lot of users who have stuck with the hard center cams, but others who really dislike the feel of them and have moved to the soft/no center cams.
  2. Pre-installed to the base is the 1 Dot (hard-center) cams. :)
  3. Here's a list of the functions available on the VPC MongoosT-50 Grip: 1 x Dual-stage Trigger 1 x Folding Trigger 5 x Buttons 3 x 4-way Hats 1 x 2-position Switch 1 x Analog Brake Lever They are OMRON switches, so very high quality and have nice tactile feedback. Not loud, but not silent either. You can use the VPC MongoosT-50 Grip on the TM Warthog base, but you'll lose the axis functionality on the brake lever and it will report as a button press. We're glad to hear you're liking it so far! Regarding the "grindy" cams, as per our last announcement, we can send you out a new set of cams to resolve this! If you can email sale@virpil.com referencing the cams and your order number, I'll get this sorted ASAP  For the time being if you use 800 -> 1000 -> 1200 grit wet and dry sandpaper you can smooth them out easily by hand until you get your new set! I'm sorry you're missing your extra springs, that's very odd. I'll contact you directly to resolve this. I do believe the 3 dot cams is the soft center and the 4 dot cams is the no-center! As per our last announcement, we've been made aware that some of the cams have issues, we've got a new batch from the factory and we will send out new sets to anyone having problems. Can you email sale@virpil.com referencing the cams and your order number and I'll get this sorted out!
  4. We're expecting to dispatch new orders next week
  5. Can you PM me your order number? There's a good chance your order has already left us today unfortunately!
  6. Do you mean change the default spring to the soft spring? We've now settled on sending them out with the soft center cams and medium springs for future orders as this is the exact middle ground! Let us know how you get on! (Also check your cams as per the last announcement).
  7. Please check out the announcement posted on our website yesterday! https://virpil.com/en/blog/81-vpc-mongoost-50-shipping-update
  8. I'd like to again mention, anyone who receives their MT-50 Flightstick and is not happy with the smoothness of the cams (a visual inspection would reveal any ridges clearly). Email me at sale@virpil.com and we'll get you sorted out with a new set ASAP! While you wait for the new set, it's very simple to smooth out the cams with some 800-1200 grit wet and dry sandpaper!
  9. We're currently working with some YouTubers to get some high quality videos produced
  10. I'd definitely recommend the rocking side to side method!
  11. Hi Insanedruid! Ah, I'm sorry yours have arrived not perfectly smooth, can I propose (for the time being) you polish the surface with something like 800-1200 grit wet and dry, and we'll ship another set of cams out to you ASAP! Please email sale@virpil.com referencing this with your order number and we'll sort it out immediately! We'll also look into why these cams were not up to the standard they should have been and I urge anyone who has a similar sort of issue with their cams to email me at sale@virpil.com!
  12. If you look on the diagram I posted of the U-Bracket, the narrower section with the 4 screw holes is the dimensions to mount to the rear side of the base (thus replacing the U-bracket)
  13. Technically, yes! The brake lever is the Z axis. There's no twist axis however
  14. Here's the dimensions of the U-Bracket. Of course you could replace the U-Bracket entirely and mount to where the U-Bracket mounts to. You could. But we definitely wouldn't recommend it!
  15. There's been some slight updated to the Quick Start guide based on some of these comments. VPC MongoosT-50 Base - Quick Start Guide
  16. I'm glad to hear the time spent changing the cam was worth it and that you're enjoying the MT-50! Based on these comments, we'll be shipping out future orders of the MT-50 with the soft-center cams installed as standard!
  17. It comes preinstalled with the hard center cams and medium strength springs!
  18. Hey all, I've attached a quick start guide to help those out who have their VPC MongoosT-50 Bases now. In the near future we'll have an in-depth user manual available! VPC MongoosT-50 BASE Quick Start - ENG1.0.pdf
  19. Ah that is still much longer than we'd like for something to be banging around in customs! But I can indeed promise you the products would not have left our hands in that shape. Well I hope you change your mind about receiving the replacement products as it is a shame to use them in that state. Thank you for the well wishes though, and we hope to see you return to us for future products! Also no problem about the spare extension cable
  20. Glad to hear your base has arrived! I am currently finalising the English manual. What do you want to know specifically as I could help you out right now :smartass:
  21. Hi Nash, I'm really sorry to see the products arrive to you in this state :(. To clarify the situation, you were actually one of our very earliest orders, and as discussed privately your package spent a very long time stuck in customs, hence it only getting to you now. I recall there being a lot of difficulty regarding contact with your customs office and additional checks. I want to remind anyone who has requests dealing with their order, customs etc to contact us directly via email! I can 100% assure you that the rust, and damage on your products are because of being mishandled/sitting during the long duration it spent in customs. Something like that would never make it past our QC team in a million years. We have many customers already, who have ordered these same products and have been very happy, even all the way in the US (paging WindyTX)! Saying that, as kind of you as it is to offer to not return the products, we absolutely will not allow you to be stuck with our products in this state. We will organise another delivery to you for replacement products and hope this time it will survive the gauntlet of customs! If you send an email over to sale@virpil.com, we can get the process started. For future reference I'd like to remind everyone, that if anyone receives anything they are not happy with, if you contact us directly we will always do our best to ensure your satisfaction with any order placed with us.
  22. A few batches have already included US orders. Don't worry, not long to wait now!
  23. To give a quick text instruction list for changing the cams/springs: Disconnect from PC and remove grip. Remove 4 x bolts on the rear side of the VPC MongoosT-50 Base. Remove 4 x bolts on the underside of the VPC MongoosT-50 Base and remove the lower plate. Disconnect the 3 x cables plugged into the VPC-Controller board. Remove 4 x outermost bolts on the topside of the VPC MongoosT-50 Base. Carefully lift the gimbal from the outer housing. You will now have the VPC MongoosT-50 gimbal out of the external housing Remove 4 x remaining bolts from the VPC MongoosT-50 Base. Fully loosen the "pitch" and "roll" axis tensioners. This will free the axis lever arms. You can now replace the springs. Each cam is held in place with screws, remove these to detach the cams. Reassembly is just a reverse of these steps. Once you've settled on your preferred cams and compression springs, you can fine tune the tension for each axis via the adjustment holes in the top plate once everything is reassembled.
  24. We're looking to be around the end of next week for new orders
  25. With the MMJoy2 firmware, correct. But this isn't something I've seen, can help with, nor recommend sorry! Of course! I'm currently working on a detailed manual for the VPC MongoosT-50 Base which I hope to get out the door very soon. I can already confirm though the process is very simple
