► VPC MongoosT-50 Throttle -- Изменение сроков релиза Команда VirPil Controls внимательно изучила отзывы и предложения комьюнити, которые были получены после первого анонса РУДа VPC MongoosT-50® Throttle. Мы не можем не отметить, что сегодня многофункциональный РУД для виртуальной авиации является одним из самых ожидаемых продуктов во всём мире. Понимая ответственность перед нашими покупателями и желая дать им возможность приобрести продукт максимально отвечающий их ожиданиям, команда VirPil Controls приняла решение внести существенные изменения в конструкцию РУДа. Во-первых, нельзя не отметить огромное количество ваших запросов на светодиодное освещение на базе РУДа. Это потребовало от наших конструкторов изменить корпус, верхние накладные панели и всю электронику. В итоге, это позволит устанавливать различную световую индикацию на базе для каждого выбранного режима! Во-вторых, для более удобного переключения режимов мы заменили тумблер (крайний справа) на 5-позиционный роторный переключатель (галетник). Столь серьезные улучшения повлекли необходимость значительно изменить внутреннюю компоновку базы РУДа VPC MongoosT-50® Throttle и заказать новые комплектующие. В результате к нашему огромному сожалению дата релиза переносится на 1-ый квартал 2018 года. ►VPC Configurator Light Software Release The VPC Configurator Light software is now available for download! This is the basic version of the VPC Configurator software, designed to allow for precise calibration and tweaking of the axes found on the VPC MongoosT-50 Flightstick, as well as allowing firmware updates to add more features, fixes and compatibility with future grips. ► VPC MongoosT-50 Throttle Update VPC are continually pushing our desire to work as close as possible with the community to create the products that everyone wants to see. It’s been made very clear to us that a high quality, multifunctional throttle unit is one of the community’s most anticipated products. As such we’ve realised our responsibility to provide our customers with a product that best meets their expectations. We’ve been carefully reviewing the requests we received after our new VPC MongoosT-50® Throttle design was revealed, which led us to swapping a toggle switch for a 5 way mode toggle. This further increases the programmability found in the VPC MongoosT-50® Throttle. We had also noted a very large number of requests for LED lighting on our throttle. Due to this, we’ve decided to redesign the housing, faceplates and electronics to accommodate the community’s desire for programmable LED lighting! To facilitate these large changes to the VPC MongoosT-50® Throttle, we hugely regret that the target release date is now postponed until Q1 2018. Updates including demonstrations of the LED lighting system will be revealed in the near future, along with confirmed release dates. ► VPC Constellation Delta Update Recently we unveiled our VPC Constellation Delta, a grip designed with space-sim pilots in mind and to pave the way for future VPC Constellation devices. The reception to this announcement has been absolutely fantastic and we’re glad you guys are as excited as we are! We received a number of requests for a secondary fire button - In keeping with our desire to work closely with the community, we’re very pleased to announce that we have modified the VPC Constellation Delta design to account for this request! The secondary fire button has been added below the main trigger, this allows instant activation with the second finger without negatively affecting the ergonomics of the VPC Constellation Delta. The 2 x 5-way hats have also been recoloured black for a sleeker look. We look forward to hearing the community’s feedback on our current and future devices. Stay tuned for further news on the VPC Constellation Series!

It will fit on future VPC bases as well - patience! :smilewink: Th Delta grip is intended to be the starting point of the VPC Constellation series, for those upgrading from other currently available ambidextrous sticks, or to supplement an existing MT-50 stick in a dual stick setup! Future additions to the Constellation series will have all the features you mentioned (at a higher price, of course)!

We're aiming to release the MT-50 Throttle in December, but nothing set in stone yet :)

Officially, we recommend to mount with the U-bracket or directly to the 4 x mounting holes on the rear side. This connects directly to the gimbal housing and provides a very strong mounting point. If you want the bracket on the other side, you can of course do this and just inverse the X/Y axis (which you'll be able to do either in each sim you fly, or via firmware with the VPC Software). I know of some users that have done this when mounting the MT-50 to the Obutto!

It's a proper analog stick rather than the slew stick found on the TMW. The existing owner discount will apply to both versions of the MT-50 Throttle. Yes - an analog stick version and a 4-way+push version.

Not yet, mini-stick version will be coming after :)

The 2 toggles alongside the buttons are 2-way latched. the other 4 are momentary. One toggle switch was replaced with a 5-way mode dial that you can see in the images I posted on the previous page :)

I'm trying to keep the discussion in this thread primarily on the throttle and the stick discussion in the other thread so that all the information on each project stays in the relevant place! I'll bring up your idea with the team :thumbup:

1. We added a 5-way mode dial, and you can create additional shift states with the toggles. So there total number of key bindings is... a lot? I'll work out what the theoretical max is! 2. It has a center detent. Any more changes or additions to the VPC MongoosT-50 Throttle design would now delay the launch of the throttle. We made some last minute changes based on the comments given around the time of the official reveal, so we're very grateful to the community for helping us finalise the design. While we hope that the MT-50 Throttle will suit a large number of virtual pilots, for those that it doesn't - we want to assure you we will not stop our developments and maybe one of our future products will be better suited for more specific use cases. :thumbup: Yep :thumbsup: Yes! Now why did you pick such an old example? :smilewink: There are more recent examples in this thread - in fact there are some from just a few pages ago! Anyone who has received cams they are not happy with can contact us anytime to receive a replacement set! We're constantly working to improve based on community feedback, the cams especially - I will post some new photos of the cams tomorrow :)

I'm sorry to hear that your replacements weren't up to scratch, a lot has changed since late August. Can you send me your order number please? I also didn't know you were missing your no-center cams. Please email me on sale@virpil.com! We can't resolve these issues unless you let us know!

Just to clarify, I think "filled" is a bit unfair (there are also many users that are very happy with their setup)! It seems to be an issue with some USB hubs/motherboards if you leave the stick plugged in during boot up. Of the few that reported the issue, they fixed it by using a powered USB hub, or just plugging the stick in after boot up. So of course the problem may well be fixable with a firmware update but there's a problem: 1. It seems to be a rare issue, I think it's only been reported 4-5 times at most. 2. Unfortunately this issue doesn't effect any of the VPC Team (on various laptops and desktops) so it's very difficult for us to get any real information on the issue. So if you can send an email to support@virpil.com with your PC specs, OS version, motherboard model, which USB ports you're specifically using, if you're using a hub and if so what kind etc etc. We'll try to get to the bottom of it!

We've already sent you replacement cams by the way ;) :thumbsup: they should be with you end of this week or start of next! I know you didn't explicitly request them, but as you mentioned some roughness on your current cams, we sent some out - at least you'll have the option if you want to take another shot at it. If you do attempt the cam change again, please feel free to contact me beforehand, and I can walk you through it :)

Regarding the "clanking" that doesnt have any sort of tactile feel or effect on the input, we've heard from one other user that reseating the springs sorted it out for him!
