Like I said its cheap and easy to do short range, but a LEGAL and reliable long range downlink is not, try and get an insurer to cover you for a start (in uk you need insurance to use these things in public airspace, Technicly I even need it to fly my models and yes I do have it Edit I know the legalities are not perhaps relevent to your point, but they are nonetheless a reality and a hinderance..it is tho as you not at all impossible

And have the relevent Radio liciences ;):D

It could be done (and of course is with some uav), but you need a lot of support gear to get a reliable long range downlink and multiple cameras or downlinked instrument data for adequate S.A., in other words not cheap the furthest I have got is adding a short range video downlink so I can aim the still camera on my model helicopter, it was just a cheap video sender and only good for about 500 metre range

ODAB 1000 perhaps

I fly conventional prop models and model helicopters, some club members have jets, they are impressive to watch, but tbh dont appeal to me much, a 4 foot model doing 300mph is very stressfull to control, you only gets seconds before you have to turn back towards yourself.....and repeat The climbouts are very spectactular tho and the sound and smell is really like the real thing

Quote SimFreak....."On average, Russian forum has much more substance and less spam, therefore I visit it more often. It feels as maturity level is lacking in English side….which annoys me greatly. I even placed few people on ignore list because they contribute only spam". You funny fecker:D

A bit off topic perhaps and almost certainly a long shot, but as we are talking fighter dynamics, does anyone know where to find centre of gravity and centre of pressure data for any of the inherently unstable modern fighters?, I have long wondered just how far these divergent designs are taken -

Well, Ill guess that its instantaneous turn rate is very high, but its sustained turn rate not so good, thats the classic delta characteristic (high energy bleed at high alpha),...power to weight ratio comes into it as well. As for g numbers..same scenario, are you talking instantaneous or sustained g?..I imagine thats a figure for instantaneous G, but I dont know any numbers -

You only have to take a look at the nubi il2 forums to realise that whinging is endless and futile, at the end of the day some systems will have some advantages over other systems, and opinions on what is "REALISTIC" are as varied as the posters taste in wimmin, I dont do AA I stick to my flying tractor and enjoy the challenge of staying alive in a server packed with fighter jocks who will find me easy pray.....I usually die quick, but my ego is just fine with that..for me, its just a bit of fun:D -
