  1. Hollywood, I am enjoying Vaicom but I think I did something wrong. As I am not a native English speaker (living in the US for 20 years) I decided to teach the speech recognition engine my voice and dialect. So I went through all 470 words. Some of them I don't know how to pronounce like the Georgian names. But when I was doing it if the Windows did not understand me it would pop up this window as if it was trying to interpret this word outside the DCS realm. For example, D-link Targets by type it would want to start typing. There were several more. When I looked at the profile tonight I saw that I have 978 commands and every command has a multipart, for every command, there is a short cut. I have attached a screenshot for you. The reason I went back in tonight was that it would not recognize the word two as my wingman in game. When going through the speech training tool it recognized it with 95% accuracy. And One last point whenever I use TX1 it shows Joystick : "AAA" see screenshot. I just realized I have to tell you one thing, I installed Voiceattack and Vaicom under DCS Stable. Then I installed Beta, can that be the reason why I have double the commands? Thank you!!! Peter
  2. I just finished it :) Am I correct when I say to make the RWR etc to show up I need a different lua file for the F-18 RWR? Peter
  3. Maybe not 100% related but I had the same issue in the A-10 before. I upgraded my original TM slew button to the new one from Deltasimeletronics https://www.deltasimelectronics.com/ and it works so much better. thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=200198&page=64 Peter
  4. On another note, I got the F18 this week and Ikarus supports it. But I would have to make a specific monitor setup file, correct? Peter
  5. I have not been successful in recording, I used the Nvidia game overlay recording but that did not show Ikarus, it only showed DCS. let me work on it this the weekend. Peter
  6. I fully understand what you are saying, it is something specific with my system. I will make a recording to show it. maybe that gives the team an idea. Is there something I could have done wrong with DCS -scripts that could cause this? Peter
  7. I sorry I will make some screenshots to show it. Peter
  8. I am sorry I see no difference. I had all indicators on the Ikarus cockpit for a few minutes when I paused the sim, used Alt-Tab to get TrackIR screen to the forefront. Minimized TrackIR so DCS is in the forefront. The Ikarus cockpit is not shown anymore soI alt-Tab to Ikarus. Click close cockpit and show cockpit and the radio frequencies are gone. so are the green triangles on the nav select panel. I also noticed when I clicked the button for the CDU that the CDI and EGI switches were shown in the OFF state. So they did not reflect the situation in the cockpit. I kept flying and after a few minutes the arms for the airspeed dial where at 0, while in the cockpit they showed the correct speed. sorry, I hope by giving more information it will help you diagnose it. Peter
  9. Great, let me try and give you an update soon.
  10. I don’t know if it has to be every 5 seconds, you understand it better. Peter
  11. Maybe it is something else, I upgraded to 1.4.5.410 yesterday. I was just starting up an A10 and noticed that all indication are not shown and the switches are not set as in the plane. I want to relead the previous version and test to see if it makes a difference. I also upgraded DCS scripts to 1.20 but did that earlier in the week. I just looked at Github but I can't see the older versions but just found 1.4.5.4d in my recycle bin. I have not tested during a flight but it seems to work better on the older version that 1.4.5.410 Pete
  12. I have upgraded to the last software but I have the following problem. When I start Ikarus and the flight the instruments show up fine, I can see the digital readouts for frequencies. During the flight as I am still learning different systems for the A10 or Vaicom I pause the sim and use alt-Tab to switch to a manual or control panel. I can say if it happens after the first time or after multiple times the frequency numbers are gone, the indicators on the navigation mode select panel are gone. Yesterday during a flight I had some problems and I looked at the armament and HUD control panel and the switches did not reflect their state in the sim. I am not saying that this is a bug maybe it is the way it is. Just curious. Peter
  13. I got my order (#1426) in yesterday and I installed it this morning, no problems what so ever and it works great. It is so much easier to designate targets. Thank you for the work and making it available to us. Peter
  14. Edit I just found Andrews shop Maybe a strange question, where did you buy it? On the gamertrix website it says it is discontinued. Peter
  15. Yes, I would be very interested to do that. Peter
  16. This is encouring to hear, I will go find a place to test it. I would still like to see it with DCS. As said anyone near Maryland USA, I don’t mind driving a few hours to see it. Thanks everyone Peter
  17. Thanks for your reply, I dont see the black spots as in my brain the right eye "fills" those spots. I just have to try it out some where. Anyone in Maryland?
  18. Let me explain, I am 85% blind in my left eye, I have peripheral vision but black/grey spots in the center due to trauma. When I look with both eyes open I don’t see the black spots and have limited peripheral vision on the left. Can I use a VR headset? Would it work for me or would I miss half the image? So any one eyed VR pilots here? Thanks, Peter
  19. I fully agree, I need to learn to use the radios. I was having trouble changing frequencies on my “Ikarus” instrument panel, some of the buttons would not rotate. My trackIr is having problems getting to the lower left of the cockpit, it gets glitchy. And I have setup left and right arrow to center and pause TrackIr so I can’t use those to look around anymore. I am still optimizing everything, maybe I will purchase VoiceAttack software so I can do it all verbally. As I have my pilots license in real life I am very used to using the radios and I wish I had a full cockpit with the dials. There is just something about flipping buttons and rotating dials. I used to fly a lot of sims years ago and flew DCS before, now I am back in it and would like to build cockpit but small steps at a time. I have a my warthog hotas, CH rudders pedals which I would love to replace but the Thrustmaster ones are so expensive. I have 2 cougar MFD’s. I think a buddy fox UFC panel is on the shortlist. I have been amazed by some of the cockpits people are building, absolutely amazing. All the 3D printed parts, I wish someone would sell those cockpits, I know it would be expensive. Going VR would resolve part of that but I am 85% blind in one eye and don’t know how VR would work for me. I had a good mission last night, i am still learning systems and weapon release procedures but I had good weapon hits and a great military pattern to landing. It felt great. Peter
  20. Yes off course :)
  21. Thank you EX81, I will try that. I never thought to click on the airfield. I read the whole manual recently and did not find that. Thanks! Peter
  22. OK EX81, I understand what you are saying but all Airfields in comms menu (pressing |\) are black. not white meaning selectable. I remember in the past if you where close enough to a field you could select it with one of the Function keys. With easy comms, it should tune the radio when I select the airfield right? May it is what Razo+r states, but depending on what radio (AM. FM UFH you pick the options are visible, right? Thanks Peter
  23. If I understand it correctly Easy Communications will set the frequencies on the radios as you select the specific airfield or other entity. I can't seem to get any airport to respond and I think it is because the correct frequency is not set. I find it hard at this moment to enter the frequencies while using TrackIR, I want to use the Easy comms but am I missing something? Peter
  24. Hi Allen, Do you have rudder pedals? Make sure you are not pushing the wheel brakes. And the wheel brake might be engaged, you can press W to see if that disengages it. You mention that the throttle does not move in the cockpit, have you defined the throttle in the Axis commands of the options. You should see the throttle move. Peter
  25. That looks great. How sturdy is the MFD frame? Peter
