  1. Yes indeed this is a great sim. I purchased Black Shark as well at the start of the spring sale and it's just as cool. Just mastered starting the thing and when I can get the rotors to stay on while flying that will be really cool. So I guess i have everything they've made so far. Lock On, Flaming Cliffs, A10 and Black Shark. Love em all. Sometimes I just start up my A10 and go for a drive. Just because I can. I don't even care about the cost of jet fuel. Filler up boys. The community around this sim is just as high quality as the sim itself. So here's my thanks also to ED/DCS for keeping this type of software alive.
  2. Thanks for all the great responses. Well BS2 went on sale today (Spring Sale) so I couldn't resist any longer. It's downloading now heh. You'll recognize me out there. I'll be the guy who is upside and on fire on the runway.
  3. I really wish I would have saved the track. Learned my lesson now. Next time something weird happens it will be 1st thing I do. Live and Learn. Sucks making rookie mistakes.
  4. I hate to say this but all the boost pumps were on (because that would make sense). I checked again on the restart sequence. They were on. I just could not get the engines over the 40 PSI bar.
  5. No I'm sorry I did not save the track. I wanted to see if I had turned on random failures by mistake and stupidly left the mission. No I wasn't out of fuel I did check the fuel gauge when the shutdown occurred. I also thought that I had run out of fuel.
  6. I just got A10 about a month ago and I'm thinking about getting BS2 now but I've been wondering if anyone who has both would like to comment on which one they think is more challenging ? I suspect Black Shark might be the tougher of the two when it comes to controlling the aircraft. Your thoughts ?
  7. Hi. Just wondered if anyone has experienced this. Was doing a quick mission. Just me against some ground forces. I was at about 10,000 Feet lining up a target for attack on TGP. Without warning the entire aircraft just shut off. Hud MFCD's engines, everything. Complete silence except for Master Warning but no warnings flashing on status panel. I started the APU again moved throttles to off and attempted to go through engine startup again. With APU generator running the Hud and MFCD's came up again. Restarting the engines I couldn't get either to full power . Tried moving the throttle to up the down and shutting engines off again and restarting just couldn't get them to go again. Finally had to punch out. I checked and random failures option is not selected. There was no Visible External damage to aircraft or fires etc.
  8. Thank You Brother. Much Appreciated. File downloaded ready to try it.
  9. I'm interested in your refueling mission I guess some jerks destroyed the web server for your file. Any chance you could create another link to download it from ? Thanks and if not , never hurts to ask.
  10. Yes I agree. It seems that The Laser ON time set to 15 means the Laser will turn on 15 seconds before impact. Now if the bomb Drop time is less than 15 seconds (say from 4900 feet) does this mean the Laser will never turn on, and hence the LASE FAILED error ? So then that begs the question what would the correct value for this Variable be ? For example if I set it to 2 seconds I might create a situation where the amount of time to guide the bomb to its target is insufficient if the Laser wasn't turned on until 2 seconds before impact. In my mind as a programmer I would want to see it work this way. If the drop time was less than Laser turn ON time then turn the Laser ON immediately . Or the other question is why have this feature at all. Why not Lase instantly at drop time ? Any thoughts ?
  11. I Just had the same message, hence why I reading this thread . Was dropping GBU-12 from 4900 feet and Lase time set to 15. Bomb Dropped then message appeared on MFCD and of course bomb missed target.
  12. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll give both of them a go. Great Sim ,Great forum. Great people.
  13. These Instructions are great unless you have a welfare joystick which I do but then I have to try to reverse engineer the commands given back to keyboard commands. Eg: China Hat Forward = V for me. A similar tutorial with keystrokes in brackets would be really helpful for guys like us if you feel charitable.
