I feel your pain brother. I've only had the shark a little while now and have encountered the same situation especially when I turn weather on. I'm pretty sure this is not the right answer but I knock the throttle down to idle after landing. PGDN PGDN. There ya go !!!

Ya I kinda mentioned that in my original Post. I'm not sure if using the soundtrack commercially would require the two companies to set up some kind of a deal but I thought ED/DCS might be interested in this music. Being in business myself for many years good deals could be found in many places with a little negotiation. :smilewink: I had remembered one of the ED sound guys was asking in the forums for places where free music could be found and I thought I'd throw this into the hat. Interesting music c0ff. It could work :music_whistling:

Good topic diveplane. These DCS sims are a nice place to come and forget about things like this but they should not be forgotten. It's amazing how few people take this thing seriously. Most people I talk to I ask them what they think about this topic and they look at me and say meh it's no big deal. Very strange how the media is ignoring this. Borders on the bizzare. Since you can't see taste or smell radiation people think it doesn't exist. You would think that all major players in the world would be working around the clock to neutralize this situation. Is population reduction the goal here ?

Sorry not sure where I should post this (Mods can decide). I recently found out that Relic Entertainment released the entire soundtrack from the game series Company of Heroes to the public for free. I think this music could add some real atmosphere to the sims. I'm not sure if using the soundtrack commercially would require the two companies to set up some kind of a deal but I thought ED/DCS might be interested in this music. Just curious if any of the P51 pilots or ED testers had noticed any increase in FPS etc. in the new DCS world ? I realize we won't really know until we try BS and A10 in the new world but with your current rigs you might be getting a feel for things. Not saying there should be a performance increase but you know. :)

INSERT Key on your Keyboard turns nose wheel steering ON/OFF on the ground. When you're in the air same key is used to turn Laser on for laser guided bombs etc.

Yep I have to agree slugg. The real answer is the A-10 makes me feel alot safer than the Ka-50 for all the reasons you described. The tanks seem to have better range than the Ka-50 in that sim. Regardless they are both fun to fly for different reasons. You really have to try hard to get shot down by a tank with the A10. SAM's are a different story.

Upgrading your computer power supply could help with this problem. I had a similar problem with Crysis game and if I underclocked my video Card using MSI Afterburner software the problem would go away. I deduced the game was causing the Vid card to draw more power than the Power supply was capable of providing. Try MSI afterburner software and underclocking http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm . If that helps then you could consider the power supply.

You will enjoy the A10 as much as the Black Shark. I had the A10 1st and bought Shark 2nd. You can die easily in both if you don't know what you're doing. Hence I die a lot. Keep your eyes on my swinging pocket watch. You're feeling sleepy.. sleeeeepy. You're going deeper and deeper to your happy sim place. You cannot resist buying all DCS flight sims :closedeyes:. At the count of ten you'll awaken and feel completely refreshed and will begin happily looking for your wallet. 10,9,8........1 :thumbup:

Pretty cool. What keyboard commands do you use to view your replay like that if you don't mind me asking ? Also what is with the landing gear wheels they look orange ?

I used to have this problem with Flaming Cliffs 2 every time I Alt Tabbed out of the Program to desktop and returned to FC2. I'm not seeing this in DCS-A10. I have a Radeon 5770 the current catalyst driver I'm using is Version 12.3 Hate to be cliché but have you checked to see if there are any new drivers for your machine ? http://www.amd.com

But ....... If you can make it back to the airfield and land . Invisible men will come and fix your hawg. Sometimes you have to shut the engines down depending on the failure. Once I was taxiing to the runway at mission start and I got sploded by a Red Chopper. (Took too long to get rolling) . I was flaming away there laughin my arse off on the ramp , no wings nothin and the invisible men came and fixed me so I could then take off. :) And they accept all major credit cards !!

Sometimes I get lucky if I move the MAV camera below the target & as it drifts up over the target (more like a dot) keep trying to adjust it and hope it locks on. But ya I have the same trouble and usually end up over GIMBAL LIMIT for the MAV camera, then I generally cuss and overfly. So ya making TGP SOI and slaving the MAV to it is always easier in my experience.

Here's how I do it and I'm noobcake. Obviously in your Weapons Management Screen Select Mavs (AGM65) and make sure your Mavs are warmed up. MSL > EO On . (It takes a couple of minutes.) Make your left MFCD display (TGP) Make it the Sensor of Interest (SOI) (By clicking the TGP Button again on the Left MFCD) (MFCD is the Multi Function Color Display) Make your right MFCD display the (MAV) camera (Again by clicking MAV button on the right MFCD screen. If its warmed up you get a picture. (IT will be (NOT SOI) for now). Move the TGP cursor around until its over your target, tank or whatever (It will say AREA) TMS forward short (Changes it to Point) move box around until it grabs the tank or whatever. Then TMS Forward LOOOONG to lock it. NOW Press and hold V on the Keyboard and watch the MAV screen it should swing to where the target is (unless you fly over it and the Mav camera can't move its neck that far and it will say GIMBELL LIMIT). (NOTE: The picture on the MAV camera is not as clear as the TGP thats why we use the TGP). This is called slaving the MAV to the TGP OK you're almost there. NOW Click MAV button on the right MFCD this makes MAV SOI (Sensor of interest) . Then Finally TMS Forward Short !!! this will lock the MAV on the target (Usually you'll see the cross hairs close). THEN FIRE and FORGET IT. You can watch on your TGP Screen or Press F6 to follow the missile. Make the TGP SOI Again and Rinse and Repeat. Remember once the missile is away the MAV takes care of the rest. You can actually start hunting for a new target on the TGP before the MAV hits the 1st target. (When you read Forward Short .. that means flick the TMS button forward and release) (When you read Forward Long .. that means push the TMS button forward, hold it for a second or two and release) PS: If you're only using keyboard commands and not flight stick then TMS Forward is (Left Ctrl Key + Up Arrow) on the Keyboard. Same applies (Short) means Hold down Left Control and Tap Up Arrow and then release both keys. (Long) means Hold Left Control Key Down then Press and Hold Up Arrow for a second or two and then release both keys. Also you could try slowing things down using active Pause . Where you can stop flying but still do all the commands (Left Shift Key + Left Windows Key + Pause Key)
