Poor Nate . Busier than a one legged man in an A$$ kicking contest. Thanks for all your efforts today. And if you're not on the payroll bigger thanks.

What am I CLAIMING YorZor ? I am showing you the Link to their Flight Model. I am not claiming anything. I am certainly not in any position to judge their work at the technical level. Are You? If so, what is wrong with their flight model based on the FACTS shown on their web page please ? Are you claiming only helicopter pilots can comment on this sim ? And what are your qualifications btw ? Please explain to us what is wrong with their Sim. Do you actually own a copy of Take on Helicopters YorZor ? Ok YorZor . People are buying it. I bought it. I like it. What do you mean by a proper product ? Please explain. BiStudios did do the research. I pointed you to it in the post you quoted. Some people here are claiming the flight model is not right. I'm asking people to examine the actual research and explain what is wrong with it or if they are Helicopter Pilots to suggest what might be done to fix it which would also involve those people flying the sim. Other People just don't care for the controls or the game play or how track IR works etc. Those are valid critisims in my opinion. I personally didn't think $13 was a huge risk to try it out and to be honest I didn't think it was worth $60 when it came out that is why I waited for the sale. That's how the thread got started.

Forced to reactivate every module after 1.2.1
Slap_Chop replied to Rivvern's topic in Payment and Activation
Would someone be kind enough to point me to the correct deactivation procedure for DCS World and Modules ? Thanks. I still have 1.1.1.1 (BS and A10) installed but of Course P-51 only came with world. -
I have never set foot in a helicopter in my life. Nor have I ever claimed to.

Hmmm you might be onto something .....

Thanks for this. I installed as directed and here is a screen shot in game. Looks great !

I have had this exact issue but I actually thought it was something I was doing. But it was also happening to me when I created a Fast Mission where I started cold from Ramp. I couldn't get off the ground without crashing no matter how hard I tried. I did what you did as well and went back the original fast mission because I thought I was losing my mind. There I could take off with ease. Yes it's a left wing roll over that is uncontrollable. Now that you've brought this up I will pay more attention and make sure I record tracks etc. I'm not saying it isn't me but it catches me by surprise sometimes when I'm confident take off is mastered. (oh and fast mission was flown in single player and all settings were realistic)

I won't get much love for this post but it needs to be said in defense of all Sim developers. No wonder Sim developers get fed up. Honestly without a Real Cockpit , real controls , tactile feedback and 180 degrees of vision do you really think you should be able to fly the real thing with your plastic joystick with no difficulty and with fidelity ? Maybe the FAA should mandate all helicopters be retrofitted with x65 and x52 joysticks and at the same time surgically alter pilots so they have no sensation in their hands , a general numbness and also no sense of balance. Perhaps you can study this web site http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Helicopter_Flight_Model_Config_(XML) and then correct the mathematics presented and educate Bistudio and RT Dynamics http://www.rtdynamics.com on how their model is wrong and how it can be improved. For instance this section here. I'm sure they would be happy to listen. Considering the $13 they could collect afterwards. But only of course if you approved of their work. I'm sure many more companies would like to get some of that action and will be rushing to develop more helicopter sims for their fans. 13 dollars ? Are you frickin Serious !? Here's an example of what an expert can do to a real helicopter. Imagine if there was only some forum where he could explain how the helicopter was just crap and the designers didn't have a clue how a real helicopter should work. If we don't support developers who are at least trying to make realistic Sims don't expect to have the perfect products to play with. Now I'm going to go play BS2, A10-C , P-51 and TOH and enjoy myself.

FVk it they can delete the last one. This is a thread for everyone who wanted to be a pilot but was thwarted. And for pilots who have regrets.. Change your name and tell your stories . Many men here need to hear it.

Now I remember why I gave up programming and became a truck driver.

These flight model discussions go on and on. Just like they do around here. If your stick is set up right it acts like a helicopter for the most part. Good enough for me. Especially at $13. I haven't seen anything else in this price range that does what TOH does. Hey but each to their own. You won't convince the many people who enjoy this sim not to like it anymore that you will convince those that don't like it to like it.

I'm really glad I purchased TOH . Especially at the sale price ! I got exactly what I wanted. A Single Rotor Helicopter Simulator with a realistic FM, which according to many RL pilots on the BIS Forums is the case when the difficulty is set to Elite. I'm really enjoying this game. It's definitely no Black Shark . But trying to land on a skyscraper is good fun. Anyway the sales over now.

The GMO corn , kitty litter and pseudo meat could eventually take you to the eternal pilots lounge. You may have extended your life by 3 minutes by purchasing TOH . Always looking on the bright side. Sorry you didn't like the game. I don't think I know enough about it to make any judgment yet. I'm still looking for the Space needle. Seems there's a lot to explore and there are 3 levels of realism for piloting the choppers each level making the flight model more challenging than the previous. Haven't even touched the hind yet or the missions , multiplayer or anything. There's auto start for heli and manual start etc etc etc. I do not think it is a competition for the Blackshark but it's interesting all the same. I'll pass on the tacos and keep playing with this thing for a while.

Ya I was worried about the flight model as well but you'll notice that several patches have been released since its initial release. I notice more recent reviews are much more positive. Such as this one from metacritic. Also the hind is supposedly very close the real McCoy according to Russian pilots . Anyway for 13 bucks I don't think I can go too wrong. I'll definitely report what my experience is with this sim. Still downloading (10GIGS)

That sucks tank. Sorry didn't mean to bum ya out.

Downloading it now. New patch out as well.

So true Peter. Very well said. Unfortunately if I attempted to set up a sim pit using that stick setup I would probably need to watch the video about getting the best divorce lawyer. Indeed this is a serious sim for people who love this genre and to EXCEL at it you need to invest some serious $$$ and time. For me mediocrity is still enjoyable. :pilotfly:

When you pull your stick FULL back it should lock the wheel so it only moves 6 degrees either way. Sometimes it doesn't catch right away. Pushing the stick full forward lets it free wheel like a shopping cart. Some things that worked for me in taking off were. 1) Change your view so you are as far back from the windscreen as possible. You get a better view of the runway in relation to the plane this way. 2) Set the rudder trim to about 3 degrees before take off 3) Hold the stick back and throttle up slowly increasing the throttle as you speed up and let the stick move to neutral as you speed up. The plane will want to fly when it hits the right speed. Just keep it between the goal posts
