Thanks Al Capwn, Just checked the link on my side and it's working fine here :)
  3. Take-off was before sun rise, a quick cruise over the mountains and then a practice display as the sun was rising. This was taken just after shut down :)

  5. There's some very interesting stuff in this thread! I think the problem we have though is that the model of the P-51D that ED made was not seen in Europe and so, consequently, it makes it difficult to get a suitable opponent to this version of the aircraft... the Ki-84, J2M3 Raiden, Ki-61 Tony or Ki-100 would be the most even counter part, but the trouble with these aircraft is that they lack the popularity factor that the ETO aircraft have... I think, in years to come, we will see all kinds of WWII aircraft but I think it will be a while before we start seeing some of the rarer, lesser known aircraft types in this sim. It appears, to me at least, we will be limited to the normal "Top 10" of WWII fighter aircraft... Mustang, Spitfire, 109, 190, P-47 etc... for a while atleast, as these aircraft will certainly sell. Either way, if it was built between 1914 and 1955, I'll be buying it ;)

Thank you, for the comments :) Bobd, it's on my 'to do' list, but there are a few others in front of it. I will skin it for you, but I need as many high resolution photographs of the aircraft as possible. If you could gather some images and PM them to me, that would help me a lot. Thanks :)

Rolled here out of the paint booth this morning for a photo shoot of the finished airctaft: After the roll out, we took her up on a test flight and formed up with a camera ship for some A2A photography: My test pilot seemed pleased with the result and so posed for photos after landing: Uploading to ED site now. Hopefully available soon.

  12. Are all drivers up to date? With specs like that, you should be running fine.
  13. Post PC Specs? and your in game options
  14. Thanks Rudel, I'll give it a try :)
  15. Rudel, Out of interest, what settings do you use when saving your .dds files?
  16. Thank you Pete, we appreciate it :)
  17. Yesterday, we flew a 75 minute cross country flight from Batumi to Beslan, our new home base. Just thought I would post a few screenshots that SkyHawk took:

  19. By definition: 'In 3D computer graphics, normal mapping, or "Dot3 bump mapping", is a technique used for faking the lighting of bumps and dents.' So thank you, Oh great one. Thank you.
  20. Very impressive, Rudel! I'm looking forward to seeing what livery you decide to pick for your first P-51 skin with your new template. I'm interested to see how you have dealt with the bump maps, also.
  21. RPM is set and kept constant throughout the routine. It is changed after take-off to climb, once your at altitude to cruise, and then just before you start your routine. At this point, the RPM will not be changed until the routine is finished. When I say adjust power, that is done by changing the Manifold pressure by using the throttle. The lead will keep a consistent power (Unless a change is required at a specific time, in which case everybody changes) and you fly trying to match his settings. I have an X-52. I have manifold pressure (Throttle) set up on the standard X-52 Throttle and I have my RPM on the rotator next to the magic mouse. Flying Formation gets to the point where you don't really have to think about the throttle at all, it just comes naturally after a while.
  22. Antorian, I'm currently in the process of building a new PC and, after reading lots of reviews, chose the EVGA GTX 670 as my card. I haven't had the chance to get the system operational yet, but I'm sure you will not be disappointed with it's performance. As was suggested earlier, I would say go for the GTX 670 and try it in your current machine. If you don't see a markable improved, you already have a major part of a new PC build. Save up your cash and build a new machine and put the 670 in that. Either, it's a great card.
  23. We are in desperate need of a live streamer and a producer for our live shows. If you know anybody who is interested, please ask them to contact us at: rock@virtual-horsemen.com

  25. Yep, these settings are fine for getting from your departure airfield to aerobatic box. But, when you run in for the show, Manifold pressure and RPM should be increased to aerobatic specifications which you will have pre determined in your training flights.
