    WIP Skins

Here we go guys, a new work :)
  4. I think it's a known issue and will be fixed soon I hope :)
  5. Spitfire Mk Vb :) Or the Sea Fury :P
  6. Thanks Joe, That would certainly be a big help if it's possible. I've spoken to Ice a lot recently :)
  7. +1 I've flown DCS P-51D since the first day of beta release and I've never fired a single shot :)
  8. I'm hoping I'll be able to bring my rig and fly some DCS P-51 there - but flying with my entire rig may be an issue :/
  9. I think I will be trying to make it over this year :)
  10. If you watch real P-51 start ups, the radiators are left manually open on the ground. Once you get airborne, lower the prop pitch and you'll be absolutely fine. The auto rads do not always keep you within the green so you will see temps slightly hot or slightly cool before it reaches a value which triggers a response to either increase or decrease the temperatures. Running the coolant doors fully open did not cause me any problems when I tried it in the past (over 1 hour of formation aerobatics with coolant doors fully open and no issues at all). But, as I understand it, I think running with slightly cool temperatures would cause longer term affects, not an instant failure? With that being said, I always fly the Mustang well within it's limits and so I have never over heated the engine to a point which has caused it to fail on me.
  11. Starting to look a little more like a P-38 now :)
  12. MegOhm_SD, thank you. I don't see a problem with releasing them, but I would have to have a word with Wolf about it as they are used as our squad skins at the minute.
  13. How about we put you in the cockpit and it will be just as funny ;) I'm afraid, G-Lock, that I have no time to deal with comments like those. They are not helpful nor necessary and, I personally find that, humiliating comments like that, coming from someone who can not do any better themselves, are highly out of place and damn right rude. It's at times like these that I begin to suspect that you've been talking to an old friend, who we are all too familiar with, and feel the need defend him. Please, I do not mind critique if it is constructive, useful and honest. But, comments like the above, have no place in my life or this thread. If you can not be constructive, please feel free to never visit this thread again. After all, why would you want to visit the 'Bugs Bunny' Squadron. Now please, go crawl back under whatever bridge you came from, the stories are starting to miss you. Just for the record, G-Lock, I will no longer respond to any of your posts.
  14. Well, these are show planes, polished and shiny ;)
  15. I appreciate the feedback, but in what way does it look "cartoonish" ? I can't improve them without some detail ;)
  16. A little WIP from me :P
  17. PeterP is exactly correct. 6 degrees right on take-off. When you're in the air, trim the rudder to fly straight at your average speed. Meaning if you're cruising, trim it to fly straight at cruise power. If you power up and go to max constant, retrim to keep the ball centred. Obviously, if you're maneuvering a lot, the ball may be a little out as the speed changes.
  18. Sniper, thanks a lot buddy, we really do appreciate the support :)
  19. There may be a few clips coming soon - but at the minute we are purely training holding position and a few formation changes. Nobody wants 30 minutes of the same formation xD Last night we did an 80 minute flight just flight circuits and changing from one formation to the other. I might make a few clips of bits and pieces though, some of it did look very good
  20. I got very little sleep before work this morning taking and editing all those screenshots... :/
  21. Some excellent flying last night wolf - posted them on the VH Facebook page too :)
  22. Myself from VH joined up with Angel from GBA and went for a joint flight: "Ferocious Frankie" - GBA_Angel "Fragile but Agile" - VH-Rock https://www.facebook.com/thevirtualhorsemen

  24. Indeed, I must say the only time I ever really need to slow down quickly is if I'm coming in a little to hot for landing
  25. No speed break in the P-51 - If I need to slow down quickly (not very often), I try side slipping a little to scrub off the extra speed :)
