I wonder if this is a multi monitor issue? I use triple monitors...
-
It is engaging as I said before! I have to disengage it with the paddle switch . i know the ":" lights come on sometimes but it is engaged. Many Youtube videos show no special action to use the autopilot.....

"both in radar <5000ft. and baro". That's what I don't get! why am I the only one??? It works but it just drifts upward.. I have to disengage it with the paddle switch..

I use the stable version of DCS (latest as of this post) and all through the early access for the F-18 my autopilot constantly drifts upward both in radar <5000ft. and baro. I did as people suggest and made a dead zone on my WH(engage AP with no pitch).. this did not help! I'm posting as I don't see anyone else reporting this sort of drift. Many YouTube videos including Wags show rock solid autopilot behavior. I have read what little docs there are on this subject to no avail. Is this a known wip issue or am I missing something???

You know the ones that give you eye cancer if ya look directly at it:thumbup: anyone point me in the right direction?

If you can be invulnerable, have unlimited fuel, and unlimited weapons, HOW come no unlimited chaff, and flares??? I use that stuff for Practice but you cant practice for the effects of chaff and flares. unbelievable!

Is it really necessary for ED to "stomp" on the controller settings each time the sim gets updated? If so why?

reported Larger, blurry HUD and DDI fonts

Is this a video card , multi monitor, or resolution issue? Why are so many Utube vids showing thin fonts???? -
Understood Revelation, but at 400 kts and 100% deflection of the rudder surfaces with no noticeable change in heading/attitude i tend to think something is wrong....
-
I have a set of CH rudder pedals which seem to be working properly within the sim, rudders deflect as they should on the Hornet (visually) but in flight they seem to have no command(or very little) at any speed with or without gear, flaps. Taxing is fine, nws hi works as it should. could this be normal behavior of the Hornet. Has anyone else noticed this?

I made a generic mission for the hog and it works fine. I tried the Vegas landing and it works fine. Then went back to the Vegas take off and the same thing, ailerons deflect full right roll. A genuine Thank You to those of You who actually tried to help.

Load up the instant action "Vegas takeoff" flight, and see for yourself.

Well. it's not the autopilot because turning it off doesn't help. the control surfaces are still trying to guide the a/c. Hence: "some kind of autopilot" This is a fresh update (2.1.1) with a rebuilt DCS.openalpha folder instant action takeoff from Vegas flight controllers have been thoroughly checked it's not a trim issue this is a known issue but i can't find reference to it using this POS garbage forum software And a thorough google site search yields nothing
-
Why is some kind of autopilot engaged by default, and how the BLEEEEEEEEEEP do you turn it OFF? For the love of god why is this a thing?????????????
-
OK, So i just did a google image search, and a google site search of "forums.eagle.ru" and found nothing like this! I can't be the first person to notice this! They are in the big green tent at Groom Lake........

Has anybody seen this? The start up UI only shows the the upper left quarter of the UI, I can't get past this as you can't click on anything and settings does the same thing. I have to alt-F4 to exit. I have tried all screen resolutions. And I have done a full re-install.

Does anybody, anywhere, know exactly how this simulator is supposed to work?
-
Thanks Sith... It use to work, ai mimicked your lights! Fence in/out use to be in the comms menu. It is still in the manual...under fence in it says: Flight will turn off navigation and collision lights and enable ECM. Yes, compared to the many other problems within this sim it is no big deal. I thought it was determined that enemy ai could detect and target you and ai further out if the lights are on. but I can't quote an official source. But, for such a high fidelity military simulator of this age it is incomprehensible how these little problems that use to work no longer work. No explanation at all. An official word of "yea its broke and there are no work-arounds at present" would be acceptable. !OR! HOW DO YOU MAKE THE AI TURN OFF HIS LIGHTS!

Does anybody know how to make the A-10 (ai) wingman turn off his lights???
-
I know, Chief. This is low hanging fruit and its been like this for years. From the looks of all the updates it appears that the A-10c is complete and needs no further improvements. I will never understand the chaotic way this company is run.
-
I fly mostly single player. This is a really old issue! Why is Fence In and Fence Out still in the manual??? Why was it removed from the comms. menu??? How do you get your wingman to turn off his lights???<----answer ONLY if YOU know what you are talking about!! It use to be when you turned off your lights your wingman would turn his off or iirc Fence in would make the flight turn off their lights
