  1. Found it! It is in CommandDialogsPanel.lua line 182 change window:setBounds(screenWidth - menuWidth, 0, menuWidth, height) to window:setBounds(3840 - menuWidth, 0, menuWidth, height) 3840 is two thirds my screen width
  2. CommandMenu.Lua file has changed and this no longer works anybody know how to fix this?
  3. This happens to me a lot as Pilot and George as the CPG! Hovering and maneuvering around shooting stuff for 20 minutes and BAM! rapid loss of altitude! Tried many times to power out of it with collective but you have to be aware of the instant you start losing altitude! Yes, lateral movement works best. George can't resolve this because of these two theories as to why it keeps happening: #1 VRS is too exaggerated and too easy to enter, i find it almost impossible to hover without entering VRS at any altitude! #2 I use a Thrustmaster Warthog throttle as a collective(I don't think it matters what axis or brand controller you use). The first 50% of travel on this axis is used to just lift off the ground the next 3% of axis travel YES! 3% is where you do all of your flying, pull up 2.5% and ascend at 5000 fpm!!! reduce it 1.5% and you drop out of the sky like a rock!!!! The remaining 47% of collective axis travel is USELESS! So at 2500 feet hovering you notice you are ascending too much so you bump the collective down a millionth of an inch and ya start dropping like a rock while entering VRS and thats IT, you or George can't recover without a lateral move, repeat ad nauseum! Why does a microscopic tiny movement of the collective result in a high verticle velocity or a drop like a rock??? This is a controller mapping issue, the middle 50-70% of collective axis travel should be used for vertical velocities not 3%. We would have much finer grain of control for VV and hovering. Yanking the guts out of the aircraft with the collective just results in a loss of lift/ power exacerbating the above problems. Waiting for you to fix this Eagle Dynamics....
  4. And locked so no other controller can be assigned or changed. Like a locked default. ie. mouse inputs, Track IR inputs etc. etc. etc. for example I want to assign Screenshot to a HOTAS button but it is locked and grayed out with a keyboard assignment "SysRQ" (and WTF is SysRQ anyway?<--rhetorical question) Why isn't there any indication to this grayed out/ Locked state within the controls options???? Mind telling us what this is, what its for, why is it there, and how to turn it on or off?
  5. What about if you want to change the camera horizontal, vertical, zoom axis' to a different controller (because the default mouse is psychotic) you can't because they are locked and grayed out! How do we "unlocked these grayed axis'"????
  6. Controllers with potentiometers need to be recalibrated often! This sounds like the OP's problem(not saying it is) Flight simulator helicopters made me ditch the psycho "twist grip" and then one thing led to another and now i have an aircraft cockpit in my living room, caveat emptor.... Sometimes you need to amplify your controller inputs NOT dampen them. Slower the computer the greater the ease of pilot induce oscillations! break the cycle! try different curves, move the cyclic small amounts to a new spot hold it there and see what happens. Only move it this way spot to spot like a digital robot. My suspicion with the 64 is lag or delay with controller input. I had a terrible time with PIO (still do sometimes)! Early Access problems i hope. I have a Warthog HOTAS and i use about 1/8" of my collective(WH throttle axis) throw for 98% of the whole flight, bottom AND top 1/3 of travel=useless, if I lower the collective a billionth of a nanometer too low i will drop out of the sky in a powerful VRS condition with NO warning what so ever! I would rather fly in an Osprey than this death trap. Early access, i hope this isnt the new F18 tanking thing.

  10. It is engaging as I said before! I have to disengage it with the paddle switch . i know the ":" lights come on sometimes but it is engaged. Many Youtube videos show no special action to use the autopilot.....

  12. I use the stable version of DCS (latest as of this post) and all through the early access for the F-18 my autopilot constantly drifts upward both in radar <5000ft. and baro. I did as people suggest and made a dead zone on my WH(engage AP with no pitch).. this did not help! I'm posting as I don't see anyone else reporting this sort of drift. Many YouTube videos including Wags show rock solid autopilot behavior. I have read what little docs there are on this subject to no avail. Is this a known wip issue or am I missing something???

  14. If you can be invulnerable, have unlimited fuel, and unlimited weapons, HOW come no unlimited chaff, and flares??? I use that stuff for Practice but you cant practice for the effects of chaff and flares. unbelievable!
  15. Is it really necessary for ED to "stomp" on the controller settings each time the sim gets updated? If so why?
  16. Is this a video card , multi monitor, or resolution issue? Why are so many Utube vids showing thin fonts????
  17. Understood Revelation, but at 400 kts and 100% deflection of the rudder surfaces with no noticeable change in heading/attitude i tend to think something is wrong....

I have a set of CH rudder pedals which seem to be working properly within the sim, rudders deflect as they should on the Hornet (visually) but in flight they seem to have no command(or very little) at any speed with or without gear,flaps. Taxing is fine, nws hi works as it should. could this be normal behavior of the Hornet. Has anyone else noticed this?
  19. I made a generic mission for the hog and it works fine. I tried the Vegas landing and it works fine. Then went back to the Vegas take off and the same thing, ailerons deflect full right roll. A genuine Thank You to those of You who actually tried to help.
  20. Load up the instant action "Vegas takeoff" flight, and see for yourself.
