  1. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=81589 What does the statement after #5 entry mean? single purchase of both or single purchase of each. NOT what You think He meant but what does it say!
  2. 1.2.0. is what i meant
  3. Last I heard these were going to be released as a package. I guess that got canned? Is this still the plan?
  4. Wingman has new voice. minor changes in logbook, something with the flight model...smoother slower response, less AOA red lining (alarm)Not quite sure what is different with FM but it is. better back and forth comms with Flight members. only a couple of test flights but I'm sure there is more....
  5. Thanks all, that clears things up!
  6. I have been using PCs since 1984. The old school rule was leave it on because of thermal cycling caused by turning on and off. Through experiences I have found that pc's that are on all the time suffer the most failures due to heat because of the build-up of dust and the fans get noisier because of bearing wear. The drives fail more often too. Most people DO NOT blow out and clean their cabinets, if You are the type that does You will do it quite often if Your house is "dusty" and even if its not dusty the dust will continue to build and get harder to remove even if You clean it often. If anybody smokes or frys food it will compound this problem. Heat is the enemy of Your CPU, GPU, Chipsets and HDD Turn off the machine when not in use and clean it monthly and You will enjoy Your computer longer than the OS and software will last....speaking of which..I hope I did'nt huff all My canned air again8)
  7. Its not supposed to be synthetic aperture radar, the kind that can see through clouds.
  8. The TGP has always been able to see through full cloud cover! Since original beta. I was practicing with mark points, marking below cloud cover and then climbing above the deck to bomb "blind" and noticed the TGP could see through the full cloud cover (10). I think it was semi fixed at some point as now You have to zoom the TGP in all the way to see through the clouds. It was reported a long time ago....Just checked again for a pic and naro mode is all Ya need....
  9. Doesn't modern tanks know when they are being "painted"? Isn't that the time to run? I remember in the second gulf war seeing so called hidden tanks being plinked and seeing the crew run like scalded dogs right before the tank was "maved", how did they know? Maybe when one in a group got hit they started bailing but it did look like when they were locked they ran...
  10. I don't think reversing the wires on the pot will do anything it will still read the same resistance It has to be mechanically reversed ie the pot gets flipped 180º where the wiper in the pot is now opposite of what it used to be. Have You called Saitek? I have been able in the past to talk directly with their Techs. It does seem like it is a software issue. I guess You have tried to zero or calibrate the controller? Please correct Me if I'm wrong....
  11. Aspects and resolutions:
  12. Gun, When watching the blu rays just switch to 1920*1080 always use the native aspect of the monitor and do try to use the native resolutions also for the sharpest picture. Video boards usually give many resolutions that don't fit the monitor aspect ignore these and only use the resolutions that match the aspect of the monitor. When You view a circle drawn on the monitor it should always be "round" not oval. And You were correct to change the Field of View. For the most accurate view You should use the actual angle from Your eyes to the edges of the monitor-not practical for single monitors. So after You get the head tracker go for triple monitors!
  13. Thanks JONA, I kinda got those basics but what if the IP is on the other side of Your target? When is the IP established in ME or during a mission?
  14. Anybody care to elaborate on the distinction between bullseye and initial point? When JTAC says "report IP inbound" what exactly does He mean? And how is this different than reporting "IN"? Why two secret points?
  15. Over a Year and a half since the highly polished final release and n# of patches, and a year since it was reported it still doesn't work at night....
  16. I haven't checked this yet, but it is a big pet peeve of mine in MSFS. If You don't own an aircraft and You fly MP with someone flying this aircraft that You don't own will it be visible in MP?
  17. It is physically impossible to post all the bugs I see in 1.1.2.1, and i don't have time to search each one to see if it was posted deep inside a 300 post thread. I just want to be able to post issues that have not been reported already 37 times. Anybody interested in doing efficient bug tracking would come to the same conclusion why not ED? Maybe They just like all the issues to hide in the jazillion threads and out of the public's eye. Ed doesn't make a clear path for Us to help with debugging they just dump a half baked beta on its customers as some sort of pacifier. I thought The Ed tester team tested the releases before dumping them on the customers? How could 1.1.2.1 be so buggy if this were true. Why so many obvious bugs release to the customer base? ED has said it so many times in the past (It will get released when it gets released) I just don't understand why We have to go through all of this again We were told that some nagging issues from the original beta a year and a half ago would be fixed in this release. So is it going to take another 10 patches and a Year and a half to get back where We were ?
  18. @Viper---"Of course we do request that, prior to reporting, a user searches to ensure that the matter has not already been dealt with and if not, reported in such a manner as to accord with the 'How to Report' stickied thread." The forum search function SUCKS Mud, and rarely results in a good find. It would be nice to be able have a desktop shortcut to the Known Issue sub-forum thread to quickly check to see if the issue You are having is on the list, if it is well then OK, If not then click on the "REPORT NEW ISSUE" button..... Also the status of the problem would be nice: "Fixed for next release", " WIP release unknown at present", "Can't be repaired limits of Sim/Video", etc, etc. [edit] giving credit to the member Who first discovered the bug might give incentive to reporting. So the ED Testers are not way ahead of us in reporting all the little annoying bugs that were already dealt with in past releases and that are very black and white?, how about posting that advanced comprehensive list so we can contribute to the unknown-to-testers issues so We don't keep grinding in the same old rut dealing with the same old stuff and never moving towards the HIGH hanging fruit that has been bugging users for a year and a half now. It sounds like ED is not directly prohibiting a Known Issue thread, am I wrong?
  19. #1 Is anybody at liberty to say why a known issue list is not allowed? In the short amount of time I have used 1.1.2.1 World/A-10 I have seen literally hundreds of bugs and this isn't including "world" issues just the A-10, AI, Avionics, Weapons, ME, ATC/Comms etc. etc. I know I'm not the only one seeing these problems and it just seems so wasteful and time consuming to post issues that ED is already aware of. Besides I wouldn't know where to begin. #2 Why hasn't the past issues that were fixed not applied to the latest release? Example the weaponry was looking good until You shot at a ship but now it is worse. It looks like We are back to pre release days 1-1-2011 what happened to all the bug reporting that was done? Do We have to go through 10 more patches just to get to where We were with 1.1.1.1.? A year and a half just to take a giant step backwards. #3 Do We really have to report the same issues We have been reporting for 18 months with the AI, Comms, Weapons, Avionics, ME...You know the ones that were acknowledge to be KNOWN and reported. A lot of these issues are very apparent the instant You run the beta, why shove a release out like this? Did ED think We might not notice how long its going to be before this A-10 is stable enough to use. Come ON! its only been a year and a half.
  20. So one problem I'm having is with My input controller, so I should post it in world ? I have tried repeatedly posting in the input controller a-10 bugs area but no one seems to be monitoring that forum. So You know for a fact it should be the world forum or are You just being generous with Your free advice?
  21. Where do We post issues with the new beta world and the new 1.1.2.1 A-10??? Is there a special place??? How do We know where to post what? What is a world issue and what is an A-10 issue??? I guess a "known issue" thread is still the most insane thing Ed would ever consider, because it would be too convenient for users to check to avoid the never ending searching and duplicate posts on the same subjects ......
  22. Take a good look at Your pit and all the objects in it. I think they did a good job of not supplying a "new" pit, though I too have seen mostly heavier "worn" pits.
  23. I don't know that it is too aggressive. I don't know much at all about the A-10c outside of what I have learned from sims that's why I said "seems". I just don't know how or what tells the TGP that its in a masked state, I don't think it is photo recognition of the wing or stores or airframe because it masks before it sees them, Probably a mathematical mask based on gimbal position relative to the airframe and stores, but I digress. So when the TGP is masked and there is absolutely nothing near the TGP to cause it to mask makes You think "why" especially when in straight and level flight with the target clearly visible on the TGP with no airframe or stores nowhere near or about to obscure its view. Question for the experts: If its clearly visible in the MFCD and obscuring from airframe/stores or gimbal limits is NOT eminent within a couple of seconds WHY is it masked? I searched this topic using both default forum and Google and didn't find much, I would think the "Pros" would have notice this before Me...
  24. Prior to 1.1.1.1 there was little or no masking of the TGP, Now it seems to mask too aggressively. Many times I get an "M" and I look at the TGP head and I look at the target and it is clearly line of site, maybe 20°-30° off the nose of the aircraft. And in many other attitudes I will pause the sim and zoom from the target to the lenses/head of TGP and it is within line of site and the target is clearly visible on the MFCD all this while the TGP is nowhere near its gimbal limits or obstructed by the airframe. This happens in all flights (single player) multi player is too unstable but I believe it has the same behavior . What gives?
  25. I just love open source software where the community will fix bugs as they see them. I just wish paid content developers would adopt this practice.....DOH !!
