  1. Thanks for the posetive feedback! Really appricated! Always good to keep the motivation up for more videos  What would you guys actually like to see? Kinda holding off with the RSBN for a bit, as there have been some problems. So not to sure what to do next... :joystick:
  2. It is quit easy: Braking is performed by depressing the lever on either of both control sticks, which will brake the left and right wheel simultaniously. If you hold down the brake lever on the stick and depress the rudder to either side, the brake force of that side will increase, causing the aircraft to turn. There are no toe tip brakes on the L-39C, like in most of the western aircraft. If you lose main hydraulics pressure, you can use the emergency brake lever, which will use emergency hydraulic power to acuate both wheel brakes. However, it is important to note that the emergency hydraulic system is only automatically charged on the ground (if the landig gear is extended). During the flight, the emergency hydraulic pressure will slowly decrease, to a point at which it is to low to actuate any controlls in case of a main hydraulics failure. Therefore the pilot has to "recharge" the emergency hydraulics pressure every 20 minutes or so, during the flight. This is done by connecting the main hydraulic system to the emergency hydraulic system, by moving the rightmost red lever on the right aft pedestral.
  3. Noticed that too! Wondering how it should be.
  4. Yes, you can do that in the spezial options for the L-39C. There you can select if SARPP data and the gun cam should be displayed always, during track-replays or never.
  5. Nope, nope and nope.
  6. Thanks for the testing! Strange, the Gali NDB didn't work for me either. And yes, I created a mission from scratch. Not sure what the problem was. As far as I know I did everything like mentioned in the manual.
  7. So, the next video just has been uploaded. This time it is an NDB navigation tutorial, explaining how to use NDBs to navigate. Unfortunatly there are apparently quit a lot of not working NDBs on the map, which also made it into the video. Hope you can enjoy it anyways! Best regards, John
  8. If you have them disabled from the start, they will be gray. If you disable them mid-flight, the last picture will freeze, like it did in 1.2.16. If you now respawn (without restarting DCS) the frozen image will still be visible.
  9. Yes, the landing mode used the PRMG landing system to guide the aircraft from an initial height of 600m AGL to the runway providing lateral and vertical guidiance. The descend mode can use any RSBN ground station to provide a safe descend path from pretty much any altitude to 600m AGL, again providing lateral and vertical guidiance. If you follow the vertical commands you should be on an obstracle free descend path, even in bad weather.
  10. Thank you! The way to go.
  11. Currently planning the video and looking at how to operate the different navigation devices. Hopefully I will be able to upload at least an ADF tutorial video tomorrow (as it is the more complicated of both systems), with some luck I might be able to briefly cover the RSBN as well. The RSBN however is pretty much the same as in the MiG-21, so I might just reference that for now ;)
  12. Well, just gave the MiG a short try in 1.5 and right back in the hangar it goes. While LNS did good and listened to a part of the community, which is allways nice, they shot an arrow into the knees of the remaining part of the community. Certainly not that what they wanted to achieve I assume. Might want to rethink the approach to this problem for the next releases.
  13. Just keep in mind that you can now get a lock tone if your IR seeker is facing the sun. Might add to some confusion. :smilewink:
  14. Yeah, that is on my list for one of my next videos :smilewink: Yeah, I noticed that as well, there are only the very basic keybinds implemented at the momment. Hopefully we get more functionality soon.
  15. Air-to-Air Missiles Good evening guys! Still going with the principle of showing the stuff most of you guys probably want to know, I just uploaded an Air-to-Air engagment tutorial for the L-39! I hope you can learn a thing or two! Air-to-Ground weapon tutorial will hopefully follow within the next days. John
  16. Glad you guys like the series! Yeah, I know that problem. Independend on how much you would like to, you just sometimes can't find the time to learn all the systems and stuff properly. That's why tutorials and write ups can be so helpfull. :smilewink: Especially if you would like to spend the limited spare time on flying instead of reading. :smilewink:
  17. Wake turbulence? Since when has that been implemented?
  18. Thanks to all of you for your kind feedback! Really appricated! Yeah, looking forward to that as well! Can't wait to get my hands onto that bird! :smilewink:
  19. Go to the options -> special -> L-39C There you can select if the SARPP should be displayed always, during track replays or never. Same for the guncam.
  20. Hi, Just made the first video for my upcoming L-39C tutorial series. In this video I will have a brief look arround the cockpit, talk a tiny bit about the systems and then show how to start up the aircraft. More to follow! I hope you enjoy, John
  21. Hi guys, Currently working on a tutorial series for the L-39C, showing different things to do with the bird. Starting off with a First look and startup video: Firing Air-to-Air missiles: A NDB navigation tutorial. Unfortunately a couple of NDBs don't seem work yet.... To conclude the navigation chapter, I just got an RSBN and PRMG tutorial for you! More to follow! Hope you enjoy, John
  22. Probably not. You can't realiably meassure airspeed below a certain airflow, so many air-speed indicators have a minimum between 40-80km/h instead of showing 0.
  23. Same problem here.
  24. After watching both videos I had to give in as well. Looking forward to see how she flies!
  25. Thanks for the feedback guys, really appriciated! Got a new audio setup, including a proper mic. Can't wait to get my hands on the next aircraft to do some tutorials for! :smilewink:
