  1. I had that with my old rig, but it stopped with my new one, I think its just performance related I know its behaving like a beta or alpha.   2. Server Crashes Freezing Client Crashes Whats the deal. I never had such issuse pre 1.2.4. Is this something being thats worked? In the past 3 hours I've had 2 server crashes, and 4 client crashes (normally when a scripts is about to activate) or is this symptoms of another DDOS style attack
  3. i put it on infinite weapons, on a destroyer, fired 6 58's to put it down. spashes, I agree its taking damage, but I dont think it should take so many to put it down should it? same deal with smaller ships moly and grish
  4. I got it figured out now. as you said the switch doesnt move anymore, its one of the top 2 silver toggles. but now i have another issue. I was doing anti ship. Finally figured out how to start sinking carriers :) But I noticed that with a SEAD loadout 2x Kh-58u and 4x Kh-25mpu's on the smaller ships like moly, neut, and grish. missles do not hit target. watched the tracks and the missles are passing right through them and into the water. big splash no boom. Now on a carrier they blow up about 50-100ft off the deck of the ship. I remembered in an old patch note how they fixed or added the proximity fuses to them, same patch where the tunguska's no longer shoot missles down. anyone else have this issue or is it just my technique. fire from close and far ranges, altitudes ranging from 25m off the water (bad idea for KH-58's btw) to 8500m had better luck blowing up ships with unguided low drag bombs
  5. In FC2 I could tell if I was in salvo mode or not because a toggle switch on the panel. But that switch doesn't move now. Or was that incorrect? Question is how can I tell if I am in salvo mode or not?
  6. actually solved the issue. It was a voltage setting for my overclock. I needed more juice. Ran stable on a decent load, but as soon as the load went up for the high settings it was causing instability. Actually crashed the rig, when I'd run FSX with every possible sliderbar maxed out
  7. Ok so I've been practicing Aerial refueling. Got the A-10C and Su-33 down, No sweat now. But the F-15.... *face palm* the one time I get a connect, as soon as the boom says contact, I get a jolt and throws my nose up into the tail of the KC. Anyone have any advise or good youtube links?
  8. DCS World on the steam library is F2P. Just download it. I just added my A-10c and BS2 keys, just waiting on FC3 and huey support
  9. im looking for war to it :) Will the high alt high speed effect work? cant remember the name of it, but I can be at high altitude with a full burn and actually conserve fuel.
  10. steam updates the content when the updates are given to them. IL-2 and most ubisoft games just give up on updating and pass it off to the "community" or 3rd party groups like team dalios in IL21946 and TEAM FUSION in Cliffs of Dover. all of Which are used to manually patching. And they do not talk to steam because they are 3rd party. Steam see's it as me taking you car to a body shop and saying, " He knows what I'm doing and he's ok with it, just paint it pink" granted you may like your car pink, but steam has no way of validating 3rd party groups like that. I love steam. at first I thought it would never last, but now that I've had it for a while, I love it and you can see why its not going anywhere anytime soon

  12. since your using a 360 Game pad, go to controls and set like your left or right bumper button as a a modifier. Then go through the controls list and find some of the radio commands and assignt them to a button with the modifier button. you can get them all but you can try to get the ones you use most often
  13. its not just you guys, every server i've played on crashes randomly, seems like once your servers player count gets to a point its more likely to crash. Was just on 104th with 6-7 players including myself and it crashed. Since the hotfix I haven't played a server populated or not that hasn't randomly crashed.

  15. There are tons of scenarios that warrant civil aircraft. Search and Rescue, Civilian evacuation. I always thought it would be nice if the civ traffic was a little more realistic during combat situations instead of casually driving past a bmp just after its hit by a maverick. I.E. Ground troops pushing west to sochi city, mass traffic evacuating to Sochi airport to flee. or Foreign Diplomats, with figher escort. tons of scenarios that can use civil aircraft. What would really improve gameplay in my opinion is more of a player controlled pilot for when your shot down, and actually flee to a safe area, and call a SAR aircraft. For more sim oriented servers anyways. Like you can go ahead and take a respawn but theres a time penalty like a min or 2 and pilot is considered killed. And part of availible resources is not only numbers of aircraft but numbers of pilots
  16. I get what your saying. Too much draw from numerous toggles can cause stability issues on you rig i.e. BSOD. You just need to fabricate a switchboard that pulses for open or close event on the circuit. Toggles to switch to pc. Put you a fuse or breaker (I'm planning on putting fuses to each push button cluster in a panel and every toggle to help troubleshoot and put the fuze panel below the horizon indicator like the a-10c) on the switch and voila. Half the fun is making the stuff and putting it all together. The guys at radio shack know not to ask me if I need help finding anything. I can draw up a schematic for an example if you wish. Would now but I'm lying in bed fixing to sleep and no point if you get what I'm saying. :) Btw that's assuming you doing a direct input method like a custom game controller.
  17. Look at my signature for my specs. I want every thing maxed out. So far everything is except civ traffic is off, cockpit res 1024 not every frame. tree distance, ground clutter and preload distance about half. And tree shadows off. And I disable the disable aero interface option otherwise game crashes on alt+tab. My issue is if I put it where I want it it seems fine in casual flight good fps avg 60. But if I were to go low and fly over thick forest of trees or drop a cbu I freeze for a sec or drop to 8-10 fps. I'm guessing it's just my hard drive I'm looking for an excuse to get one. But I don't think I need one to Mac everything else because I'm beast'ng as it is now. any ideas how I can get the boost? I use game booster so all non essential programs and services are closed while game is running.
  18. No Thats what I meant when I said stop tracking. The Headtracker .dll you need to enable head track messes with mouse movement. It twitches like its trying to move but is recentered on where I paused the tracking.
  19. Got the Huey Module and Love it!!! however, I use freetrack, and it works properly. I like using the head tracker for the flex sight, but for the door gunners on the other hand i'd rather use the mouse to aim the guns. If I stop tracking view is stuck where it was. If i try to move it snaps back. Only thing I can do to resolve is take out the Headtracker folder in my install directory so I'm back to the default way of looking about with the mouse or pov buttons. Any one know how to resolve? like changing a value in one of the .lua's or something to allow mouse look when headtracker isn't tracking?
  20. For multiplayer purposes, can it save your flight plans locally so you can load it after a reconnect or does it have to be a fresh one each time? Like how you can make a custom load out and export to a role and see it on load out options online?
  21. Difficult with laser guided. You'd have to leave the laser on and be prepared to slew to next target after splash. They'd have to be pretty close together and you'd have to space your releases to compensate for re acquiring targets. Best bet is jams, mark, set steerpoint to marked targets, steer point as spi, release, next mark, release, etc. or cbu if they're real close If the laser targets were too far apart the bombs would all be headed for the first target and would have enough time to line up on next target before splash
  22. WTF ok so I'm still learning the A-10C and i've been trying to practice Air refueling, in su-33 no probs, f-15 ehh i tend to drift when i look over my shoulder. A-10 WTF!, i watched this track and just got pissed, i thought you want to lay the pipe on the nose and walk it into the port, no connect, the only single connect i get is when im high and back off and little and it falls into place. i thought the attachment for the su-33 to IL tanker was a little forgiving, but this is nuts, I started screaming when I was watching the track! because i thought some of those should have been connects ________________________________________________ I realize what I was doing wrong now. Every time the boom operator broke off, you still have to hit the NWS to disconnect even though its not connected. never paid attention the the ready light on the right side under the compass. Just did a full run a moment ago! Hurray! Now all I have to do is get it in one connect, took me 3. arg.trk
  23. Had your app for a little while I love it! Have it on iPad and iPhone. Love the mission briefing. A suggestion for any possible updates. On mission brief, targe info section. Give like an add option to put more than a primary and secondary target, and the same for more than 3 threats, if it were a "pro" feature I think it,d be worth the .99 cents :)
