  1. thanks cich. was there something about the directories though?
  2. I remember someone saying that a directory is no longer used or something like that. Do I just need to re-install the Export All Indicators Like MFCDs via Viewports?
  3. Hey guys quick question for you. I've been out of the A-10C loop for a while and have just updated both DCS World and Helios to the latest versions(DCS World 1.2.5.16508 Helios 1.3.190). I've setup the correct path in Helios to point to the DCS World directory and made sure my Monitor Setup was selected in the Options for DCS World but when I go into one of the trainings I see that my exports are not working correctly. Is there something I missed? Changed directory or something?
  4. I use Helios in conjunction with GroovyGameGear boards and had never had a problem like your describing. Check out my thread on the panels I made; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94457&highlight=panel Also check out my vids on how to setup Helios; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=97100&highlight=Introduction+Helios
  5. Check out my two threads. The cost for everything was about $1000. That includes; TrackIR(a MUST), Siatek X52PRO, 3 GroovyGameGear boards, print-out of baclit panels, 1/4 in. White translucent acrylic, various toggle switches and buttons, LED strip lighting. Thrustmaster Cougar Pack(another MUST). material for making the boxes(1/4 in. MDF 3x 2x4 sheet) and gloss white and primer grey paint. You can make your pit boxes any way you want but the concept should still transfer over for back lighting. Introduction to Helios videos I made; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=97099&highlight=0utLAW My journey into making a modular pit that I can put away when not in use. Plus I am VERY limited on space; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94457&highlight=0utLAW
  6. Apache AH-64D? Now that DCS has a multi-crew position helicopter sim, does anyone know/do you think it would be possible for an Apache?
  7. Out here in CA. I'm lucky i have an All Electronics right next to me. Super cheap!! http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/category/730/Switches-Toggle/1.html
  8. Can anyone point me to a .Lua file or something???? :)
  9. A lot of people use TrackIR (http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/) It's a must have IMO. I use the TrackIR Pro kit. Otherwise, it's the keys on your numpad.
  10. What is the resolution of your second monitor? Can you take a screen shot of the windows resolution screen with your second monitor highlighted. I forgot about adding your second monitors resolution to your overall res. Also, what procedure did you use to export your MFCD? Here is the procedure I followed. I followed the steps as indicated in the second post. I know PeterP could solve your problem in 2 seconds but I figured I'd try to help out. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=70716 When you are in the main menu for the game is the menu stretched over both monitors or does it just show up on your top monitor? I think there should also be a couple more sections in your .Lua file. Here is an example of my .Lua file sections; _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('0utLAW Monitor'); Description = '0utLAW Monitor'; Viewports = -- Put your values in , and delete all exports that you don't want to use ! -- You will have to determine the area for the MP/SP GUI { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1080; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.7; } } GUI= { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1080; } RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 1300; y = 1092; width = 392; height = 392; } More View Ports and then.... UIMainView = GUI Here is how my monitors are setup;
  11. Your welcome Boelie. I like making tutorials. I'd be curious to see your profile. Do you have an image of your layout? I would like to compare it to mine. :)
  12. When I hit F10 to bring up my map it gets displayed on both my primary(top) and secondary(bottom) monitors. My question is where can I make a change so the map only shows up on my primary(top) monitor?
  13. I see possibly 2 things that you need to check; 1) change your aspect ratio from 1680/1050 to 1.6 (1680/1050=1.6) 2) check your screen arraignment when you right click on your desktop and go to Screen Resolution. -make sure your lower screen is set up exactly how you have it setup in this picture.
  14. what no sticky? :.(
  15. TrackIR without a doubt! A must have for any flight sim!
  16. Quick little video I made for you;
  17. Try the following; -Right click in the box you want to bind and select "New Advanced Command" -Make a name in the "Command Name" box -Press the key combo you want NOTE: For me I pressed Ctrl and , and 4 boxes showed up. The first 2 have a shadow on the left and top of the boxes. And on the 3rd and 4th boxes the shadow is on the bottom and right. So imagine that these keys represent the keys on your keyboard and there is a light source on the left top corner of the keyboard shining across your keys. So when buttons are pressed the shadows will be on the left and the top and when the button is raised the shadow is on the bottom and right. -Hold down Ctrl and Left click on boxes 3 and 4 to select them both -Right click on both highlighted boxes and select "Cut" -Now Paste in the "Release" box NOTE: At this point you should have a name in the "Command Name" box. The 1st and 2nd key commands in the pressed condition in the "Pressed" box. And you should also have the 3rd and 4th key commands in the raised condition in the "Released" box. Now you need to "Quantize" both sets of commands so they act a a single key press. -In the "Pressed" box hold the Ctrl key down and Left Click on both key commands to highlight them in blue. -With them both highlighted in blue Right Click on them and select "Quantize Time" -If not already done, in the seconds box make it 0.000 and select OK. Your first set of commands in the "Pressed" box should have a Ctrl and , command with shadows on the left and top indicating a pressed condition and a time value of 0.000 under each of them. Now repeat the same procedure for the 2 command keys in the "Released" box to quantize the time for those two commands. Then select OK and save your profile. I would recommend doing this procedure for any multi-key command. Hope I was able to be clear enough. :)
  18. Glad you got it working. Like my description stated, I wanted to match the X52 Pro as closely as possible to the actual HOTAS of the Warthog.
  19. The only thing you need to do is the following; - Make sure you have the Saitek SST(programming) software installed and running. - Place the A-10C.pr0 profile in your C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Saitek SD6 Profiles directory - Right click on the joystick icon(Saitek x52 Pro Flight Control Software) in your system tray and select the A-10C profile. There should now be a green box around the back of the joystick icon indicating your profile is running. -Go fly! Note: You may have to alter a couple of key commands in DCS. Mouse Scroll wheel= Boat/Pinky Switch. Basically the mouse scroll wheel acts as the Boat switch by iteslf and as the Pinky switch when the i button on the throttle is held down. - The key bindings in DCS under HOTAS HOTAS Boat Switch Aft - RAlt + Left (arrow) HOTAS Boat Switch Center - RAlt + Down (arrow) HOTAS Boat Switch Fwd - RAlt + Right (arrow) -The i button on the throttle I have assigned as modifier(Right Ctrl) so you may have to modify the Pinky Switch commands as such in DCS; HOTAS Pinky Switch Aft - RAlt + RCtrl + Left HOTAS Pinky Switch Center - RAlt + RCtrl + Down HOTAS Pinky Switch Fwd - RAlt + RCtrl + Right - The toggle T5 and T6 on the stick I have assigned to the following. You may have to set these up as I dont think I had them assigned at the time I uploaded the original file. Also, I don't have a Right Windows key on my keyboard so I had to make some other key assigments for the auto-startup keys; T5 - Auto Startup T6 - Reset Trimmers And yes double check that there is nothing in the Saitek X52 Pro column in DCS as this could cause conflicts. Also, check your MFD on the throttle to make sure the SHIFT mode is not on under the word MODE in the top left of the MFD. If it is showing, just right click on the joystick icon in your system tray and select clear profile and then re-select your A-10C profile.(Saitek is funny like that sometimes.) I tried to keep as much of the key assignments out of DCS as possible. This way if you need to reinstall or something happens to the game that all your assignments are assigned through the Saitek software. Also doing it this way allows the use of the Mode Selector dial on the stick. :)
  20. Thanks for both your replies. Accepted and understood!
  21. I was flying the Last Hope Mission with a buddy and I'm trying to teach him about setting a SPI using the TGP and then slewing your MAV page to the SPI in order to send AGMs to your SPI. I found a video on youtube on how to send your SPI to another aircraft. Basically it stated, establish your SPI and then make the TAD SOI and slew the cursor over the other aircraft. Then hit TMS up short to get the net ID to show up under the SEND OSB. Then select the SEND OSB to send the SPI to that aircraft. That all worked fine. My question is, is what is the other aircraft supposed to do with this information? It shows up on the other aircraft's TAD as a new task and a red diamond and not a white wedding cake. If anyone can explain to me what you are supposed to do once someone sends you a SPI I would appreciate it. Thank you!
  22. I picked up the extra switch I needed for the fuel panel(4) and an additional 3 for the fire extinguisher T handles. I will be making a housing to go around the knob of the switch that will have yellow LEDs. :)
  23. Thanks for the comment saskcan. And thank you agrasyuk for your help with moken's issue. Currently, I do not have any rotaries, potentiometers, seven segment displays or LCDs in my pit. Though I would like to add some when my funds are a little more in line.(unemployed at the moment) I have only been using three of the GroovyGameGear GP-Wiz 40 Max boards to connect toggle switches and momentary push buttons. I would however, like to get my hands on Pokey and Phidgets boards to compare and evaluate them. I still need to learn about interfacing rotaries, potentiometers, seven segment displays and LCDs. Once I do, I'd be more than happy to make videos showing how to interface them with Helios and DCS. I don't know just something in me likes to make tutorial videos. Helps me learn and remember I guess. Also, I just like sharing knowledge. AWWWWWWW:smartass:
  24. I would love to. If only I had one of his CMSPs!(hint hint) :)
