i always wondered about this! i would be happy being able to have the option to show no text just the dot and no color difference. This is also good to learn how fly without labels, without the label itself you don't know what threat you have, a red dot on the sky could be a fighter or a transport, either way you have to worry, a dot on the ground could be a furl truck or a SAM, without the color itself you'll have to get used to confirming who you are shooting at. Either way, win, win.

thanks for the info guys, i haven't checked the antivirus thing yet, i don't use the browser or internet on my windows partition because of viruses, i always download on my mac to a thumbdrive then instal on windows that way i don't have to worry about an antivirus since i'm not connected to the internet, but i do believe i have mcaffee but i don't know how it's there because i didn't instal it, maybe it came with windows, i'll see about the antivirus advice, also i will be buying an SSD, actually 2, i was waiting for them to go down on price, i figured since my mac has a slow for an SSD i can just make that the main drive on the machine and give windows like 80GB since the DCS world is the only thing i run on the windows partition now days, if anybody else has had that issue let me know, one thing i noticed was that on the options menu there's a slider for tree visibility and so on, one says load radius or something, and i think i have it set to max, does that mean it's preloading all that area on the sim? i gotta restart my mac to use the DCS world so i will do it after work in 4 hours and test all that, if i can figure it out i will post my findings for others if they may have the issue, thanks again guys!

try reinstalling, make sure you instal DCS World first, maybe fly a mission on the su-25t first and see if there are any issues then instal P-51D

Hi guys, i've noticed that DCS World takes a while to load, and by that i don't mean 30 minutes, but i'd like to estimate about 8 to 10 minutes for a mission to load, be it training or a mission or instant action, either way i wanted to ask why that would happen, the thing is that Flaming Cliffs 2 takes about 2 minutes to load, again i'm taking about loading the mission, i run both with all settings at HIGH. Does it have to do with the Higher resolution and High settings? would that make it take longer to load? anything i can try to make it load faster? Thanks!

Using a 4 way hat sounds interesting, currently there are 12 commands used, F1 to F12, F11 being the BACK button and F12 the exit so its usually 10, how about: Press MIC switch, the menu pops up, then your TMS becomes your radio command control (since we all have it assigned to a easily accessible hat, that 4 way hat gives you 8 buttons that we are already used to by using the logic of the coolie, short and long commands, aside from that the mic switch for that radio would also double up using long ans short press, short closes the radio menu, long goes back to previous menu (or next if theres a another page of commands) so we lose 2 slots for commands so thats 2 formations, 2 air fields and to other random commands you will not be able to access that will not affect most, at the same time the function keys will still work the same way. Hey guys, i figured out the problem, I have the X52 Pro hotas which has that extra button on the trigger (first stage) and i have it set up in game to the first stage trigger control as well, what i noticed is that after i shot at a target with the gun a little text would appear on the HUD i can't remember what it was but i think it was like CAS-1 or something once that was showing it was game over, no control of the plane, but after i would unclicked (its a latching switch apparently) the CAS-1 text would disappear and i was back in full control. Just wanted to share what was happening for those that may have the problem, i was able to recreate the problem often just by clicking that first stage trigger, thank you to all for the help! :-)

I use a Mac so I have the Mac keyboard, love it but I had been looking for a keyboard for the dcs world, something with glowing keys so Its easier to tell with the lights out
