  1. This thread should definitely be stickied and I firmly believe that John's work is of tremendous value, but please don't turn this into a popularity contest.
  2. Hit T0 (used like a cancel button) and then T1 again, cross will reappear.
  3. Did a first pass on the typos/mistakes of the Viggen guide. Please let me know if you find any other mistakes.
  4. Did a first pass on the typos/mistakes of the Viggen guide. Please let me know if you find any other mistakes.
  5. Gotcha about the RB04, yeah I kinda figured that out after a couple of tests but forgot to make the change. That's good to know about the mixes. I just assumed you couldn't combine anything... apart from the RB75/AKAN and RB05/Akan, there's nothing else?
  6. There are some typos and mistakes, folks, so please mention them here (or send me a PM directly) and I'll have them fixed by tonight when I come back from work.
  7. Will fix tonight.
  8. Thanks Neil, I appreciate the kind words. Oh, and... Viggen guide is up!
  9. Chuck's AJS-37 Viggen Guide https://chucksguides.com/aircraft/dcs/ajs-37/ Enjoy!
  10. Nope. But dang, it's a long process.
  11. Cobra did, thankfully. However, the redaction of the guide will take a lot more time before it's ready... 1 month easily (work is taking all my free time) .
  12. Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words.
  13. :drink: Time to start the coffee machine.
  14. Finally uniformized the format for the P-51, FW190, Bf109 and Spitfire guides.
  15. I think the number of ipad users vastly outnumbers the number of oculus rift users. For screenshot-heavy presentations, a kneeboard-like format is highly impractical. Kneeboards are better used for checklists. You are free to do your own. Reformatting 1000+ pages is very time-consuming... Unless there is a huge demand for it (and I don't think there is to be quite honest), I would rather let the community create their own kneeboards.
  16. @Lino: it can't, mistake on my part. It can only track manually entered coordinates. @taz: they are based on trial and error
  17. As of today, we still cannot detach the rocket tubes after the rockets have been fired. The "Emergency Wing Load Release" and "Gerät 21 Absprengung" switches still don't work. I hope ED intends to have that fixed.
  18. Not really possible... Format isn't compatible
  19. Uploaded updated versions of F-86, MiG-15, Mirage 2000 and Gazelle guides.
  20. Gave the Mi-8 guide some love and a much needed update (mainly checklists, gunners and some formatting). There is still some work to do. *********** For those who were wondering about "is X or Y guide updated?", here's my current list of actions to take to support current guides already published. They won't be done overnight... but gradually, at my own pace, when I can find some time. Spitfire -Add Drop Tank and Fuel Management tutorial -Add Bomb tutorial P-51 -Address various formatting issues -Add Drop Tank tutorial FW190 -Address various formatting issues -Add rocket tutorial BF109 -Address various formatting issues -Add Drop Tank tutorial Mirage -Add D2M tutorial -Revise all weapon procedures (sigh) -Add Flare Programming tutorial F-86 -Add Drop tank tutorial MiG-15 -Add Drop tank tutorial -Revise radio navigation tutorial (procedure has apparently changed) Gazelle -Add MISTRAL tutorial MiG-21 -Add SPS-141 and IFF tutorial
  21. Regarding the Fuel Contents button debate, I'm going to quote two interesting posts from the A2A forums talking about it: The Spitfire is quite an old design by WW2 standards (first Type 300 flew in 1936) and the accelerated development and tight budget Reginald Mitchell and Joe Smith were under forced them to take design decisions that may just have been common practice at the time. Keep in mind that back in those days, there were no norms nor unified design standards, which ironically makes WW2 one of the richest (and most fascinating) periods of history in terms of aircraft design diversity. I distinctly remember funny design choices in other aircraft of the time (like the infamous Yak-1's fuel quantity gauge being placed ON the wing itself or the Tiger Moth's fuel quantity indicator looking like some kind of thermometer placed on top of the biplane's upper wing).
