  1. I have a hard time believing that such basic functionality (i.e. setting a course on a TACAN or other beacon) does not exist on the AV-8B, especially since both displays from the F-18 and the Harrier, at least on the EHSD page, seem to share an awful lot of commonality. After all, the AV-8B and the F-18 are both McDonnell Douglas products in a way.
  2. If you look at ED's F-18C hornet navigation tutorial, I think the video at 3:13 shows how it should be implemented.
  3. The pop-up point logic changed a bit since the guide was first written. The guide was updated with the proper procedure now. Basically, the heading you input should be from the pop-up point TO the target, not the other way around.
  4. No idea. It should work as intended now.
  5. Updated Viggen guide to fix erroneous Pop-up point procedure.
  6. I'll have to double-check and update the guide accordingly. Pop-up point logic may have changed since the last time I flew this. Edit: the procedure I had was indeed incorrect. I fixed it in the latest revision.
  7. Yes, it is a little early. I'd say that the current state of the Harrier is functional enough to operate it in a somewhat realistic manner. The missing features are not critical, but they are somewhat annoying. Among the things I hope to see implemented: AWLS localizer bug (is it reversed or not?) Course Setter Nozzle Retraction Speed calculations page Moving Map INS systems Waypoint insert/edit Functional ACNIP (MANUAL radios)
  8. Chuck's guide to the AV-8B Harrier II Night Attack https://chucksguides.com/aircraft/dcs/av-8b/ Enjoy!
  9. Harrier guide added! See first post.
  10. This tingles my interest!
  11. I would check out the new manual for the Mirage that came out with the last patch if I were you. Baltic_Dragon did a fantastic job and re-did the whole manual from scratch. It's a great document and much easier to read than the early manual. Give it a look!
  12. Not implemented so far, just the page but without the map. It's basically the same patch notes as last time.
  13. Must do some more chocolate-related tests... for science... and stuff...
  14. Wrong info? Search your feelings... you know it to be true!
  15. Yep, Mirage guide, page 32 was updated since it had an erroneous label on a switch. Check the first post and the revision dates.
  16. Sorry to burst your bubble, but it's not. Some pictures are re-used, granted, but most of the checklists are stripped down and re-done from scratch for clarity. If you look at my FSX/P3D guides on Mudspike for the 737, A320 and the Q400, you'll see that the procedure is done system by system to facilitate learning and condense/structure the learning process instead of following flows. FYI most of what I use is taken from the real flight manuals, FCOMs, NATOPS and what not, not the dev guides. It's definitely not a copy-paste of the dev official documents... or else it would take me mere minutes to do, not months. Plus, I cross-check the dev documentation, youtube videos, flight manuals and ask around flight simulation forums for details that may not be in the doc. And most of the time, the official dev manuals are incomplete themselves and some tutorials need to be researched from other sources (i.e. MiG-15 guide back in the days where all we had was a russian 20-page long quick guide and a russian FCOM written in cyrillic). The process is thankless, long, and tedious.
  17. Since when are user guides supposed to supercede official documentation?
  18. Hi guys, I have a question for Razbam regarding INS alignment while we're on a ship. I know the Early Access Harrier starts pre-aligned, so at the moment my question is a bit useless, but I was wondering... how will the SINS (Sea INS) be implemented? I read in the Harrier manual that either a SINS cable is connected to the aircraft (which could be done with the Ground Crew radio menu) or it is done with SINS RF (low power radio datalink). Will all options be available? How do you intend to simulate those features? Thanks in advance!
  19. CloD career... Riiight... I remember you and your numerous FM threads on multiple forums and your banishment from them. https://steamcommunity.com/app/63950/discussions/0/540744935716541317/?l=german I think I'll take your opinion with a grain of salt.
  20. @BlacleyCole I don't really have an interest in doing guides for those subjects, sorry. Chaps at the MOOSE project do it much better than me already ;) Also: Updated Spitfire and P-51 guides with overall improvements and a new section on supercharger operation.
  21. Where exactly? On the 17/12/2015 revision it looks fine for me. The arrows with no description simply mean that there is no control mapped to that particular button.
  22. The top of the ring under the HUD also
  23. Very very much so. :)
  24. I couldn't get it working on neither Georgia, NTTR or Normandy...
  25. I'm working on it ;)
