Yeah I screwed with Windows themes and I have to get the default W7 theme (I got W7 x64). It does not use 7/8Gb in the screen I gave, but on heavy situation, it does (7Gb max) - at least, in the task manager, I see 7Gb being actually used.

Hi all, I got a big probem with DCS, since a pretty long time. DCS is soaking almost ALL my memory. In task manager, I see only 300Mb or so used by DCS, but 7 out of 8 Gb of my RAM are generally used when DCS is running. Physical memory is only 1.3Gb, but virtual memory is more than 3, all of it being used by DCS. And this is at idle situation (no heavy missions, etc etc). What kind of virtual memory set up should I get? Any clue ? That's can be pretty annoying since Windows keep triggering alert message. Thanks. Corsair

Will definitely buy this (Huey will wait ) ! Hope an Hind will follow, especially Mi-24P version with GSh-2-30 cannons !

Frogfoot series (-25/-25T) are already AFM (or at least, they are not SFM).

Hi all, i have a little problem with recently added "6DOF" cockpit (Flanker/Frogfoot/Hog-A). They are not fully 6DOF with me, Z-axis is assigned to zoom. No way to change it. Eagle's cockpit works fine. Any idea ?

Hi everybody, I wonder that instead of making a whole new aircraft/chopper it wouldn't be easier to go from a already made basis and develop a new version of this aircraft. I would really like to see an upgraded variant of the Hokum: • the Ka-50Sh (Ka-50Ш) with FLIR/Shkval • the Ka-50N, which seems to have a redesigned cockpit with a new nav system, FLIR only It seems that the actual Ka-50 in the game is a kind of mix (since all the 12 Ka-50 seem to be different :D), so even if you can make a fully accurate upgraded variant it would be nice to add some better systems to the Ka-50 we currently have. It could open us a wide range of operational capacities, such as night ops, better DL, etc.. and i think it would be faster since main systems (hydraulics, turboshafts..) are surely the same. Cheers Corsair

Hi all, First here is my rig: > i5 2500k @4.5GHz > ASUS P67 Sabertooth > ASUS 580GTX DCII > 2x4Gb Corsair Vengeance RAM > Win7 Home > Acer GD245HQ 24" 1920x1080 screen DCS settings: > Texture - HIGH > Scenes - HIGH > Civ - OFF > Water - MED > Vis. range - HIGH > Heat blur. - OFF > Shadows - MED > Ckpt. displays - 512 > AA - 8xQ > TSSAA - ON > Ckpt. shadows ON > Trees - 9km Obviously it's running pretty good (>60fps) but in numerous cases i observe a unexplained FPS drop. They generally occur when flying around a great airfield, with lots of hangars such as Senaki, Krasnodar (the west one), or Kobuleti. FPS drop from 60 to 50 or even 40 sometimes. This is however with only one aircraft; the loss is slightly greater with complex cockpit aircraft (Ka-50 or F-15C). It is even worse with complex 3D planes, smoke or CBU drop (-87 give me a slideshow). Even if 30/40fps can be a good performance it becomes barely enjoyable with TrackIR. Also i noticed that my GPU load can reach 90/100% for no special reason (tested with F-15C, cockpit view, engines shut down, at parking). I use 306.47 WHQL drivers. Even if these are still acceptable results, i would except better performance with my computer. Are u experiencing such inconvenience ? I heard that EDGE will improve mutli core and GPU usage; i hope it will solve all these unexplained performance drops. Greetings Corsair

Ka-52 (any variant) or Mi-28NE.

What I posted was: "Some stuff are not fully implemented like SXR targeting pod or the HTS/HAD", responding to the inactive OSB post from Dejjvid. Sorry if you find my posts offensive, I just try to explain what i think, maybe in a wrong way

Okay, now i got deleted.. nice. Nice troll BTW. For EtherealN i do not argue about which sim is better. Check the end of my last post.

Well the goal of DCS is to provide realism and hardcore sim, but if 3rd party devs begin to developp arcade stuff into World, the community is going to divide -one part with arcade/midcore planes, and the other one only with hardcore stuff-. From now there is not a lot of people on DCS, it's going to be worse if they introduce arcade stuff. There is no official announcement due to the fact that 4.33 is not finished at all. However I know this from a developer, who gave me some renders about MLU cockpit (with Carapace system working, hehe). BTW the 50/52 is almost fully developed, except some stuff (SPI, IFF, incomplete TGP...) Flanker is about Su-27, LO/FC is about 6 aircraft (that are arcade !) and DCS is 4 y/o. I don't see any common point between all of them, except the engine. That is true with ground units, but not with air units. ...just compare the avionics between F4 old (even AF) and BMS. Really ? :music_whistling: Join a squadron, visit BMS forum, watch Krause's tutorial, i don't know why you find training hard. BTW, about BS2.. there didn't included any training. It didn't prevent to become a quite good pilot on the Ka50. But don't think i hate DCS. Even if it has a lot of bugs (invisible trees for AI, slow fps, stupid AI, MANPADS/short range SAMs that spot you at 5km after a 1 sec popup....) i really like this sim and it's really fun to play it online (with a squadron), however i really wish ED to take care of all those bugs, regulate the 3rd party addon development (if all those addons would be like the Beclz's one it would be wonderful), and developp a russian jet (Su-24M ) it will be even better.
-
Sure not. First, BMS devs have a lot of experience (more than ED) and know what to do/what do not do. Per exemple i think ED is making a big mistake about opening DCS to 3rd party addons (a Raptor ? c'mon !!), while BMS prefer focusing on a single aircraft: the Viper (however BMS features a Mirage 2000 to but less average). Also you say DC is not a must but try to launch a campaign in DCS... all that I have to say is that's it is monotonous, not like BMS where the comms are dense and realistic. Also BMS is much more optimized than DCS.. in DCS you have 15+ air units and it's laggy as hell (even with my really great rig) ! And finally i know that the next version (4.33) will feature EVERY version of the F-16C (Block 25 to Block 52+) plus the F-16AM. I don't think ED will make all those versions..

>> http://veaf.org/fr/accueil-735th <<

Or Su-25TM (Su-39) or Su-25SM :)
-
You say too much A2G but almost all the planes you said are attack aircraft.. ;) Tornado is not multirole at all, a Tornado IDS can't to A2A while an ADV can't attack ground tagets. It's like the Mirage 2000-5 and the 2000D. BTW the ADV variant is not really interesting: Skyflash/Sparrow are inefficient and it's not a good dogfighter. You can also dream for the Super Flanker, we should hope an earlier and less classified version like Su-27SM or UBM (two seater hell yeah ), maybe some Su-30M or M2? But my fav would be the Fencer-D !
-
Do not except that, Dassault will not appreciate. BTW i totally agree with the author, we really need russian jets ! My whishlist: • Su-24M/MP or • Su-30MK2/I/K/A (any of them) or • MiG-29S or K or and/or • Ka-52 (any version)

Hussard.. 'vont croire qu'on parle tout seul à la 735th :D :D
