What's happening to the rotors? I didn't skin the main rotor as it wasn't coloured anyng in your original photo! It seemed ok in my testing. Thanks
-
Glad you enjoy them all mate. Has to be said I really enjoyed skinning the ones I did. Learned a few things which was the main objective for me... Hopefully I can continue and make some others. Ebabil Do me a favour line up my green version and upuat's green version for me please and take some pics. I am curious to see the differences and I won't be back from work until after midnight. Thanks

Camo Version as below.. The nose emblem is from FILO 125, closest thing I could find to a Turkish Army patch, as I said it is fictional! Download link http://www20.zippyshare.com/v/85551835/file.html

Sorry mate, it didn't come across very politely. I meant I just didn't realise you were doing that one as well! From nothing to loads of different versions in one hour! Cheers for the tip, I did that with the cover eventually! Thanks
-
Ebabil requested a skin of this Huey.. There are two versions, one with the Red Crescent flags on them and one plain version. The pic below doesn't have the cowling coloured properly, fixed that since! Will also finish a camo version, below. Although it is kind of fictional, might as well get it done! Download links are below. Turkey Huey ARMY.rar Turkey Huey ARMY PLAIN.rar

Didn't realise upuat was doing both skins! I have finished my first version of the standard Olive Green version you wanted! File is here, as usual place it in bazaar/liveries/UH1 http://www64.zippyshare.com/v/60847288/file.html White rotor blade version. If someone could share the cover.psd file for the engine cowling I would be forever indebted to them :) EDIT : Got that sorted. I will finish off the other camo version, although it is not a true copy of any heli I could find an image of! http://www49.zippyshare.com/v/14335886/file.html : Finished version with flags for you mate. http://www49.zippyshare.com/v/37804586/file.html : Finished version with no flags. Still to work on the pilots, will do my best for you!

Huey Tail Rotor : Cannot Find It!
marker replied to marker's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Thank you very much! -
Ok buddy! I was messing around with some stuff this morning and created this.. I will also get on to the changes you require as well! I will sort everything for you tonight after work and upload somewhere for you to test.. Cheers Could you do a bit of research for me please.. Try and find the patches for the pilots, a pic of the flying suits and any sort of emblems they wear on them. Rank of pilots would be good as well if at all possible! Thanks

Would you prefer a logo if I can find one, or would you prefer the crescent? Also, looking at your pic, I am thinking olive green body, what do you think? Also, bottom side of heli, would you like the crescent quite large or small?
-
Hey Guys Working on my first DCS skin, and I just cannot find the tail rotor! Can someone point it out to me please, preferably highlighted! Many thanks
-
Would it work for the standard x52 also?
-
Very nice mate! Now I have the import structure noted I can go on and hopefully create some better skins! Still working on the above one for ebabil. EDIT Short video of it in game! Pretty good landing as well :) Guys for some reason I have green flashing occasionally in the video, must have been a setting I screwed up in my recording software, just a warning!
-
Working on this at the moment also.. Doing the standard version, first pic. Also first reskinning :) Very quick first revision... Front nose image needs slightly adjusted. Also, I cannot read the tail designation, can anyone make it our on the top pic? Think it also needs to be a darker shade of green?

Hi Guys I am quite new to DCS, but have a quick question.. When I am in the editor and want to change my skin for the heli, I use paint scheme within the payload section of the vehicle, is that correct? If so, where do I put my downloaded skins, right now I have them in the folders they came in within the Bazaar/liveries folder! Is that the correct place for them as well? Thanks EDIT Found out they should be in the UH1 folder within the liveries folder. DOH!! :)

Cowboy, fancy some MP this weekend, trying to find someone to fly with, aint great but I have a better than basic flying skill I would say! I also have a TS3 server we can use! Let me know mate! Cheers

+1 for this please.. Kinda had to stop work on my Helios profile for the ipad as I wasn't able to export the gauges, rotary switches would be excellent.. In fact every single gauge, dial tuning knob would be amazing! A pit builders dream! :) Appreciate anything that you guys do!

I downloaded it again there, using Chrome and it worked fine for me!

AT one point around the 7:30 mark, when the 3 of you swept along the road, and suddenly the middle chop comes screaming through guns blazing, absolutely fantastic! Also some of the tight formation flying at the start was impressive, enjoyed the video mate! Keep them coming!

I agree with a lot of the other on this thread, put the video back to public Froggle. Everyone's opinions are different and they all matter to a certain extent! Maybe be a good idea in maybe say 2 or 3 weeks after a few updates go and and re-evaluate the updated version directly against your old video!
-
Can someone link me on instructions on how to install the skins please! Many Thanks
-
I definitely notice the change, although I thnk that is because my muscle memory is starting to come into play. Saying that, I still think the placebo affect is taking place with some people..
-
Yeah mate, that's the pic that led me to that site! Already saved it, but thanks anyway :)

Hey Guys Searching for an Overhead panel image, I stumbled upon this site, some nice pics, especially from Vietnam era, with the logos on the nose etc.. Never know, it might inspire :0 http://cs.finescale.com/fsm/modeling_subjects/f/16/p/83811/821116.aspx

I started on a new Helios panel, specifically to use with my Ipad until I can maybe upgrade to a full size touch screen. I thought I would post a little update on how I am getting on after a couple of hours work.. Looking at it, it is going to be a pain in the backside to get the Nav Systems working properly with a major hand from someone who is greatly experienced with Helios and LUA scripting. I will certainly give it a go, as I am quite experienced with scripting in ARMA 2 / 3 so hopefully shouldn't take me long to pick it up.. Little pic below is progress at the moment, most buttons if not all are working, and some rotary switches. You will see I have had to improvise on the panels at a couple of places to allow me to have the rotary switches in place.
