  1. You can try to compare it with the ingame F-16, though I'm sure that you already did that ;)
  2. WOW, this looks avesome! Will it be availiable for download?
  3. It will be much easier when everyone sobers up :D
  4. Um, it much more resembles the MiG-1.44/1.42 (never got the difference between the 2 of them) :music_whistling:
  5. Ok, I expressed myself wrong. What I meant was that it doesn't have -regular- countermeasures and that the logistic behind the mission planning is to avoid any direct contact with threats that -could- harm the a/c...
  6. I'd say that it doesn't have chaff/flares because it is never meant to get into contact with AA defenses (yea, I know, a guy shot it down...) and it doesn't need a jammer because it would only give away the location of the a/c. Think of the B-2, do you think it has a jammer/defensive stores? It doesn't. The airspace in which it gets deployed will be clear of AA threats.
  7. URL? I've been searching for an hour now and I'm giving up...
  8. What's with that gear-down-thing on the test flights? I've seen it on quite a few videos. What to they actually test that way? Gear resistance to drag, testing the stall speed?
  9. Just a thought; did you try to make the "I" key usable as a keystroke in LO? Because I switched the RESET key and "I" key functions so I can use I as an airbrake.
  10. Thank you! I always wondered where it was...
  11. Anyone got a pic of the thing being extended? :music_whistling:
  12. Or did they just happen to forget to put it back again after the simulated refueling?
  13. Erm, anyone noticed the refueling probe extended?
  14. Thanks for the images shamandgg. And try to find the video again TheProphet :pilotfly:
  15. Still no go. Maybe if you upload it on a image hosting service? Because the site doesn't support hotlinking.
  16. Um, I don't see your image. Can you upload it somewhere (say Photobucket) so it will be visible?
  17. Is it just me or does this thing have 2 HUDs? It would explain the high positioning of the copilot/navigator. Here's a pic: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v508/cesaresc/Aero/5.jpg Is it a HUD in front of the guy at the rear seat or just a handle? If it is a handle then somebody please explain me why is the guy at the back seat so high? Can he also take control over the aircraft?
  18. Ok, but HOW did you do this?
  19. Eh? AI is so dumb so it cannot hold on the taxiway? Cuz I've seen shots of F-15s waiting at the taxiway while other F-15s are landing in front of them, just like your shot but with Eagles. Or are the planes on the taxiway static objects? But their pos lights are on..... -confused-
  20. 1. When choosing leader it should be someone with the least experience in holding tight formations. 2. You really should get something better to fly formations. It is a necessity. I'm not saying that you are a bad pilot, just that good hardware makes a good pilot even better. But then, I know pilots who do wonders with just a keyboard and mouse. It takes a lot of practice but eventually pays off. And you could try setting your throttle to the mouse wheel. You should get smaller increments with that. Or even better, if you don't use the mouse for looking around/flying set the Y axis for throttle.
  21. Nope, changing smoke color was added in 1.1.
  22. Yes, you need to put the texture into CDDS or place it into ...Bazar\Temp Textures folder, without the resolution at the end of the file (say, MIG-29C-SKIN-DEF-L1-2048 should be just MIG-29C-SKIN-DEF-L1).
  23. I'd say that the airbrake and the radio comm switches are located on the throttle. As well as the EOS horizontal/vertical slew. Most of the a/c have those switches on that place. You can put the push to talk command on the lower 3 position switch and the airbrake on the upper 3 pos switch. And of course, control your EOS with the rotaries. On the throttle you would find a trigger (naturally :smilewink:), the trim ministick and maybe a button for locking the targets. Just my guess.
  24. Well the people over there (at the LOF) take questions seriously, and people answer them seriously. I see no reason to be shocked for my position over there. I earned it with my behaviour (so no bitchin around). I just thought it was a general thing so I figured that the answer would be general too. And I'm not pi**ed about people making fun of themselves whenever a thread reaches page 2 or 3; I'm actually sad about that because in 90% of the cases they cross the line and the thread dissapears. Maybe someoue could have found the info on page 1 helpful. At least I pulled something useful from 5 pages of this thread, thanks to everyone that actually tried to explain it to me.
