Is the plate carrier assembly the part marked in the image below? And if so, is it me or is it missing from the model? :unsure:

The sound is great, but one thing throws it off for me. It's that Mi-8 signature whistle. You shuldn't be able to hear it when the helicopter is far away. When it's coming towards you, it becomes audiable more or less when it's already on top of you. As it flys away it can be heard for a bit longer, but not more than a few hundred meters. Currently in game, it fades in and out along with the other (engine and rotor) sounds, which isn't that realistic.

Got it today. I wasn't waiting for the sale! Honest! xD I was waiting for my MSc to be done.. the sale just came in as a bonus, so I got the Huey too :) First impressions are awesome. Had my first two flights tonight. First one doesn't realy count, since I forgot to assign the collective, but I did manage to land using keyboard.. somehow. The second one was a dream. I was all over the place, that's for sure, but at least I didn't crash or brake anything :) Gone into VRS a few times on purpose, and once by mistake, but did recover from all of them :D

I wish to purchase the Black Shark 2 update version, but I can't for the love of me find my old purchase or serial number. I've even managed to find my FC purchase on the old website, but not BS. I vaguely remember something about a move to a new website involving something about the user accounts, but can't remember the details and can't find that announcement either. Any ideas where to look? :)

I am currently visiting my friend who is on PhD studies in Krakow, Poland. I've been here for almost a week now, but I haven't had time to explore the city as weather was not so great and she was moving in to a new flat, so I haven't had much free time. Just this morning I discovered purely by chance that there is an aviation museum here, and that I have a direct tram line leading to it... hooray! :pilotfly: Now, for the reason that this is in the Hardware forum, and the question I wanted to ask fellow simmers from Poland: could you recommend me where to buy TrackIR while I'm here? I believe it would be cheaper here than in Serbia, espec. if I could get the tax back. She has a debit card and a permanent (we hope) address now, so ordering it is an option, but I would prefer picking it up at a store.

Bad statistics in Chechnya were mostly the result of bad tactics. Tanks aren't any good for street fighting. That lesson was learned the hard way, but no doubt is remembered for later on.

I want a Mi-8 and I wish to be able to simulate some peacetime ops - putting antennas on top of buildings, having a water bucket to put out fires and such :) I'm too old to look for manpads :D

It was uploaded yesterday, and I've checked that it hasn't been posted here since then, but some of his videos do appear similar, and he sometimes uses some sections in multiple videos, but I don't remember that I've seen those gun shots earlier (not that it isn't possible that I've simply missed them :))

Two Serbian cadets died today (one male and one female) and two were seriusly injured at Pasuljanske livade training ground when an unexploded 30mm shell detonated. Five more were taken to hospital with some injuries.
