Hi Guys, got jetseat today. All is lovely except I don't speak or read Russian. I would have thought that as my postal address is in the UK,Paid in £ stirling they would have enclosed an English manual. alongside the usb connector is a small jack plug and socket, anyone know what these connect to and has anyone sussed out the remote controller ? all i can get it to do is turn the unit on or off, the big dial seems to do nothing, "mode" ? Hi Gliptal, you have your own answer. You do have to run as ADMIN, it won't work if not. Hope this helps.

I'm using an old sidewinder stick for that exact purpose, works perfectly plus added bonus of extra buttons for lasing etc. very cheap second stick on e-bay:pilotfly:

So fed up with all the problems with this great aircraft I have deleted it from DCS completely, I might re-install when it's fixed, like in 10 years when I'll be 70. LOL Big shame.

Hi jetsmell, :megalol: you need to read the above instruction carefully. If you want to open and alter LUA files use "Notepad++ " it's a free download, just search Google for that. Anyway you don't open the options.lua file, you need to open the "VIEW" folder just above it, The Snapview.lua file is there. As said, just delete it, restart the game and the game will install a new one with the original settings. The key presses that control your views are in the main game in Options , that's where you set up your controls. Happy flying.

Finally sorted it guys, I realised I was downloading jsgme setup not jsgme.zip . Made all the difference. Thanks for all the help and advice.

well i installed jsgme into DCS root folder, no shortcut, clicked the application in said root and instead of giving me the choice of renaming or making a new folder it went straight away and open the original mod folder that contains aircrafts,campaigns,tech and terrains AGAIN. WTF. looks like when they finally (if ever) they merge 1.5 and 2.2 i will install mods the old fashioned way, thanks for your help guys. until then it's back to "Air Missions, HIND" at least that works, heh heh.

Is jsgme mod manager compatible with windows 10, every time i try to install it, it does not give me the opportunity to make or rename a Mod folder. It goes straight to the existing DCS Mod folder and will not budge. If i make another mod folder(different name of course) and redirect it to the new folder it keeps telling me it does not exist. Anyone have similar problems or idea's. I would be grateful for any help guys, thanks in advance.:helpsmilie:

HiJack, hello, I've decided to stay with win 10 for now. I have stated in a previous post that because of updates, 1.5 merging with 2.0 etc that I will leave DCS for a while until it's more settled. Gives me an excuse to save for new GPU and Occulus, apart from DCS all my other software (games, utilities etc) are running very smoothly, thanks for your advice though. I will come back later.

I did a clean install from memory stick (win 7 pro to win 10) because of driver worries but now DCS crashes within minutes every time, had win 10 just a couple of days. i5 4670 3.4ghz(no oc), 16gb ram,asus gtx770, msi gaming 7 motherboard, all with latest drivers. Because it's a clean install microsoft says I can't revert back but surely I can reinstall win 7 from my original disc. Any ideas ? It's driving me crazy, I never ever crashed with 7, except for my flying skills, LOL

Hollywood Hi, yes i have admin rights set for all my software but to make sure i was selecting "run as admin" anyway to no avail. I had win10 upgrade from 7 but for some reason DCS would crash after ten minutes or so. Found out I could do a complete Fresh install so I'm in the process of re-installing everything from scratch, will let you know how I get on. Don't know what happened to my p.m. Thanks.

I have to admit I am fed up with this as well (warthog hotas, saitek combat pedals, etc) After years of development why don't ED just update the parts that need updating NOT the whole damn thing. This is the only Sim/game that i have that does this, and i have a LOT of games, only game that is on a similar footing to DCS is Arma3 but even that does not mess with input settings when it updates. I know inputs etc are stored in "saved games" folder in "users" but i recently upgraded to win 10 (big mistake) so went back to win 7 and guess what ? So now I have decided after years of following/supporting and playing this game NO MORE until DCS 2 and 1.5 are merged. Christ sake I have three copies ,DCS 1.5 final,DCS 1.5 Beta and DCS Alpha. One SSD just for this game. Absolutely ridiculous. Please ED, stop back slapping yourselves on your successes and sort out this mess, I don't care about modules in Beta/ Alpha stages, CONCENTRATE on the Base game, then on modules. It's called "prioritising" Sorry about my rant but i'm 60 years old now and don't know how much time i have left.:pilotfly:

Autohotkey Question. I have just reverted back to win 7 from 10 coz VoiceAttack kept losing focus and would stop working as soon as I started loading DCS (Dcs 2.1Alpha and Dcs 1.5 beta) Also both versions kept crashing. My question is, as i've not seen anything on the forums about it, am I to assume that when Voiceattack is started does the autohotkey script in the Viacom folder run automatically coz it's in the apps folder or do you have to run it separately. My head is spinning trying to understand this, logically I would think it would but I can't seem to get it to do so, so I have been clicking on an autohotkey shortcut on the desktop. It all works fine untill i open DCS then it stops working. Do I have to put it into my JSGME mod folder. Any help PLS Guys. thanks in advance.:helpsmilie: edit, another reason i ask is i am tired every time to have to start TrackIR, setup NV surround, cougar MFD'S etc etc.

I have followed the above instructions but even though i have DCS world 1.5 final,1.5 Beta and 2.1 Alpha all standalone versions with JSGME with individual desktop shortcuts when i try to load 'starways' Vietnam mod i keep getting 'Steam write error'. Any ideas ?:helpsmilie:

i deleted the DCS World version, the open beta is ongoing, update due again next week.

I see, your at the correct height when it appears your flying level (directly) to them. I think they may be shown on the right MFCD on the CDU page

Hi GillyG, you set the altitude at the same time you set the waypoint in the editor, look for a box bottom right of the editor screen.
