  1. I don't think many people utilize WMC but for those who do, it's free until 1/31/13 if you register at the below website directly from Microsoft. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/feature-packs
  2. I think Win8 is a pretty cool and super quick OS. Definitely not a gaming/photo optimized system. I've been running the beta on my 6 year old laptop for over a year and it boots up in literally 10 seconds, opposed to my beast desktop (specs in my spoiler) which takes 45 seconds. (I love my WP7 and will definitely be getting a WP8, once I can upgrade)
  3. No you don't :smilewink: I'm currently working on getting that option available for those who do want it, but for anyone with doubts about b/w images should just see the earlier pictures. Pictures of the MFCD's and HUD come out crystal clear.
  4. Yes, I was fortunate enough to be granted all necessary permissions to be allowed to publish them on the above links.
  5. Look no further! First three modules of DCS: World are available below; All manuals are the most current officially published documents available. If there is a new/more current version please P/M me or mention it below. See each specific manual for the version number/release date. 6. Good news, just received permissions and I updated my earlier posting. Here's the link if you don't feel like scrolling :book: Edit: Btw, use the code "JEKYLL" to get 20% off any order until 10/26/12
  7. haha, yea it is a bit surprising, isn't it? I think 2012 though will be a huge bounce back. Maybe even more than the record year in 2010. A lot of major PC games came out late last year so whether that's reflected in the following year's report or the sales continue on, is up for question. But I think that's kind of getting off topic of Win8 potentially being bad for gaming, which I agree with, but it's up to the developers to choose what to do. That doesn't mean Win7 gaming is just going to shut-off tomorrow. Mobile gaming (cellphones) and tablet gaming is just not for me at all. I need a mouse or a controller and I'll play for hours at a time. And don't also forget about Steam's Gaming Box Whatchamacallit!
  8. I believe this is the folder you're looking for "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Input\A-10C" And I'm very jealous b/c I totally want to get FIFA 13 :(
  9. I personally like gaming on my PC more for indivual use, and my 360 for a group of friends. With that said though, console gaming is much larger than PC gaming and has been for some time. If you were a developer what system would you build a game for? See the chart for the obvious answer; Chart was taken from the 2012 Sales, Demographic & Usage Data - Essential Facts About the Computer and Video Game Industry
  10. I've got no problem with doing that as long as I get an approval from a Mod. I'll update with a link if I do, and what not.
  11. Talk about a speedy process! Just had my manual delivered today after trying my own with Lulu (ordered morning of 10/19 and received today - chose free shipping and got it in 2 days). I've got to say I'm very impressed with the quality. Highly recommend  I've attached some shots to show the great contrast on the pages as you can clearly read all diagrams and what not. And if you're interested in this same manual (based off of most recent publication as of this writing) here's the link
  12. yea, I believe I've been experience this same issue for a month or so now. I start a free-flight or really anything and i can use my joystick and keyboard, but no interaction w/ the mouse. My only solution so far is [Alt. + Tab] out of the game and then re-open it up.
  13. Hey thanks a million and then 10 more times! Lol, I literally spent almost the whole day editing and creating something that I really liked from your suggestion. Most difficult part was the cover as in my eyes, it says a lot (i know it's about the insides that count :) ). There's a LOT of different options for anyone interested in this, and you get a lot of customization. Highly recommend it, as I uploaded what I believe to be the most version of the manual, dating back to 8/27/12. Thanks again Kegetys
  14. Yea, I'm kind of assuming that the deal is no longer valid since I read a post dating back to 2009 :D As for the Lulu manual, congrats to you and I might do the same as well. Only thing holding me back is the manual on Lulu is version 1.0.9 and I believe the current one in the documentation area is v1.1.1, I wish there was a way to update the Lulu one with the most current one! Not sure if anyone knows if that's possible or who is in charge of that publishing? If you're not sure, here's the link again: http://www.lulu.com/shop/digital-combat-simulator/a-10c-manual/paperback/product-17165999.html
  15. Just stumbled upon this film on YouTube and it's very nicely put together! I love the editing done to make it look very dramatic like you said. Really nice job!
  16. Thank you!
  17. You've got a point though, I meant to search the thread the other day, b/c lately I've been having an issue where I have to [Alt. + Tab] out of the game and then go back in for my mouse be fully functional. Not quite sure why this happens, and my joystick works fine. My only guess is it's something running in the background.
  18. Does that happen only if you launch directly into Multiplayer? I've always had the updater popup when launching singleplayer
  19. From the main website: Downloads>Video>World>"Su-25T Training Videos" Here's the direct link: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/video/world/su_25t
  20. Haha, yea sometimes I feel like the instructor throws his arms up in the air if I click a button half a second before he's done talking and something doesn't work 100% the first try. Best advice for training missions is to just be patient and do them over and over and over again! And don't forget if you just need to get somewhere quickly that [L.Ctrl + Z] speeds up time ([L.Shift + Z] goes back to normal).
  21. This thread got me back into the game since the update to early next year. With that said I'm doing a lot more hw to be at the skill I want to be when it launches, and seeing what I can do to either create my own squadron w/ fellow pilots or join an already existing one with similiar interests/goals.
  22. Welcome to the forums RenegadeAlias! I'll direct you firstly to another thread that answers your questions about DCS A-10C Warthog which was recently answered. (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1569619#post1569619) As far as Flaming Cliffs 3, it has yet to be released, and according to Wags (Producer) he states the following; "Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 3 will require an installation of Lock On: Modern Air Combat or a previous version Flaming Cliffs" as seen here (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=93634)
  23. Does anyone know if Lulu still offers that $25 coupon on new accounts? Saw the post was about a year old and curious to know if anyone recently has had success with the Warthog manual from Lulu.com Thanks!
  24. Correct, just as Pyroflash mentioned, you'll need to download DCS World and then the Warthog module which he so nicely linked to
  25. That sounds awesome, I'm definitely one that can devote some time to battle it out to ear some $$$. I'll just have to limit my time b/c I always find I unlock a ton of stuff during betas, then the game comes out (and I start over) and don't have the desire to get everything back again lol. And you were right Pilotasso - just got selected for the beta this morning :D
