Photoshop has 1 flaw though. you can turn the picture, however gravity make hair point into the 'down' direction... I'd say he's hiding for his life from hispoint of view. -
Possible Fix for: unable to call for repair in a-10c in world
BRooDJeRo replied to MTrenda's topic in General Questions
Ive been testing this fix in DCS World 1.1.2.1 with results towards a positive direction. Most of the ATC functionality and responsiveness seems to return. Sometimes is a 2nd startup request needed to enter the talktree again. Without this fix you need to start your engines or move into position first to trigger a response. With this fix the ATC will answer and guide you. In singleplayer only a local fix will do. In multiplayer the fix must be local AND serverside to make the ATC and groundpersonel react as in single player with the fix in place. This isnt a bad solution to regain some stabilty and playabilty untill the next patch rolls out. -
I thought as much. The respawn option as well as others seem high on the 'wishlist' to avoid creating tons of layers as well as other options. Looks like i need to take a few days off for adding enough full map layers. LOL Something like the ability to create waypoints and routes not only connected to a certain item or creating multiple optional routes for one under circumstances, would be very welcome too to create the 'Mr. Dynamic'. But as i said a few lines up, most of it seems high on the known wishlists.

Im looking for the 'respawn' script within the gamefiles, however i seem to have trouble finding it. Does anyone know in which file it can be found or, incase the current script might not perform as intended in multiplayer, a better version. Im trying out some stuff in the mission editor, its for attempting to let something respawn after its been brutaly anihilated. :D

So if i cant have a P-51D on my server why can i set up clients for it for other players to get into and why can i see it fly around? The only thing is i cant fly it... Dont worry, every aircraft in DCS can be set up in a game. Flying it is another story.

Theres a free jet n DCS World...No clicky cockpit yet, but knowing DCS, it will some day

Damn, i love those movies. Its funny you mention them, ive just been watching them this week for the 1.000.000 time. :music_whistling: -
Ok, nevermind guys... Edit: Im just a customer with a question that isnt aware of anything going down behind the screens. A simple answer would have done great, a push back into a corner shouldn't be part of that. Im still a paying customer.

That also another way of looking at it. :) I guess im still stuck in the old world where an amount of money is paid before 'end-status' of a product is considered an 'investment' which entitles you to a certain agreed upon percentage of the profit. :megalol: -

Thank you for your reaction this quickly. Dont feel too much offended my friend. As i said im just a scepticle kind of person that has been around since when the A-10C came out. I havent been reading up on every followups made or seen pieces of true information and communication regarding projects. Still keep in mind that even when a developer is concidered a 3rd party on paper, its still being concidered by the majority as a part of the 2nd party, because that is what i see as customer in the endproduct. And thats something to be pround of when it comestogether like this. Ofcourse its nice to receive a 'thank you' for making an investment and totaly at its place. As a customer im at the receiving end and the experience blundly is that you slip you card for something that you want. Not? It is for fact that it is a way of looking at it. I just belong to a group of persons that doesnt listen to the whole story around, but what is presented in fact. "The automobile example doesn't quite follow though - automobiles cost considerably more than a computer game." - Yes it does. Youre right on that the amount you pay is diffent, however its about how the choice is made. The older a person gets, in most cases people teach themselves an order of steps before a purchase is made to prevent the tears afterwards. "A more apt example: when you go to the cinema, do you get to see the movie before you pay? " - The product you will see is the full endproduct, not the B-roll/uncut version. You get 'testdrives' in the form of 'spoilers'. "My question actualy is, is this being discused and is there any plans on the table to get the 'glue' to do its job?" "I don't understand this question. Clarify?" - Well, nobody is the same in the world, although related to what you do in this world you can still belong to a certain group. I belong to the sceptical group in this case. When you have an active marketing department then its most likely known that they have these groups to satisfy in order to keep their attention directed to your product. When i look at the multiplayer availability, i can presume that what there is playing at the moment 'the steady core' of customers. Its a sign that the 'floating' customer is 'floating' elsewhere. :) But dont feel to offended too much my friend. Dont answer if it doesnt feel right to answer. I still think that you make awesome software for criticts like me. -
Is there an updated known bugs- and related issues -list somewhere to be found with the bugs/issues already being adressed and most likely fixed in an upcomming patch? Im in the mood for breaking some pixels, but its pointless to start on something that is worked out already. :pilotfly:

To be honest im quite a non pre-order person. Maybe because im less sensative for marketing. Still id like to see and maybe even try something working before spending any money on something. When you go buy or order a car you make a testdrive at least. When you buy tomatoes you check the quality. You get my drift. Since a few years theres a trend of buying something first before it is even available or even in production. The software market makes use of this concept alot, although im kind of scepticle if the endproduct will be as qualitative then when its fully tested and major bugs ironed out before presented and being a 'paid-for-product'. Battlefield is undergoing the same process. Its a prepaid product with the final product actualy being a beta-fase piece of software and by the time everything is fixed, the next series are on its way. Now we have combined arms. Id love to order the prepaid, but in order for me to get that far is to at least get an exact date and something that could meet release version state instead of beta. Dont feel too much offended. Im still from the era when you didnt have to pay to become a betatester. :smilewink: As being a sceptic i also look at other promises made. Like Nevada. Sometimes its totaly out of your hands or plans change when things dont go as promised. I dont have to go into details about this because i dont to to wake sleeping dogs nor start a forumriot, but it sort of creates a reason not to pre-pay. Ive also invested in expensive hardware to play DCS. (yadda yadda whine whine) Theres alot more people thinking like me and those are the ones that might have left already. My question actualy is, is this being discused and is there any plans on the table to get the 'glue' to do its job? -
Erm.. 'DONE and DUSTED' (says the linky)

Then its put down correct, it doesnt say the whole world. It only mentions it that it would be very very very nice. :book:

Outgame available online serverlisting
BRooDJeRo replied to BRooDJeRo's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
One thing worth mentioning is that when i log out the server, it takes same time before the serverlisting loads. Almost like if im not connected at that point. Im also setting up a linux system to do some scanning here and there localy to see theres a hookup there, although sofar everything seems ok on my end. Ive also quickly set up a http webserver on port 80 and that functioned perfectly through the routing tables all the way to the machine, no weird protocols are being blocked. -
Outgame available online serverlisting
BRooDJeRo replied to BRooDJeRo's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Read up a few posts, its already mentioned 2 routers with hardware firewalls and 1 sofware in windows , im not a newb on how to manage these. Im wondering though if another port is needed to be open than the one you set up with the server itself. The first firewall is showing no logs of IPś that try to connect on a certain port, so i dont think anything else needs to be open from the outside. I havent run a package sniffer localy, but the lights on the hardware shows theres traffic back and forth when running the server only. The only automation on my compos are a weather app that checks only every 30 minutes. Nothing else windows or software automated is going in or out. Ive turned W7 firewall off now. Big chance there is something going on there. -
Its ok, we all have our moments of complete and utterly fail. The positive side is you most likely learned something new regarding managing software yourself instead of something like a MS helpdesk.

Outgame available online serverlisting
BRooDJeRo replied to BRooDJeRo's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
There is one up now. Home network routing double-checked. Win 7 Firewall has an open port designated to it. Servername: Nuclear Testing Facility with mission 'The Bay 71' loaded. -
I think they will create new battle theatres ofplace you can find all over the world. Hence the name 'DCS World'. The Nevada map is awesome, however it will more be a battlescenario testzone than a more realistic hotzone of conflict. I think the last real conflict was with the indians and the north/south wars if im correct. I can already see the majority of 'Las Vegas invasions' or erea 51 secret stuff that might not exist ingame. Dont get me wrong, i love DCS and what theyre planning to do, but also DCS knows that there will be reality limitations and need more 'real' conflict zones. Basicly i cant wait untill the monent they tell us what they realy have in mind in the long run or what can become of DCS World with 3rd party maps. Right now there is a couple of aircraft anounched officialy. Im kind of a held back person so i need to see first what becomes of it. Perhaps were a long way from a planet sized theatre, but wouldnt that be THA BOMB!

Hey peeps, Is there a browserlink somewhere available where there is a list of current online multiplayersessions? The reason why is when i start a server noone else enters it. All networkrouting and ports seems perfect, however still im curious is the server is actualy listed, but how to check when youre running the server and only have on 1 computer have 1 DCS installment.? Thx for any answer or help in advance.
