Welcome to 2008

I had something similar once and couldnt find it in the computer hardware. Turning off and on the flatscreen with the button wasnt enough. I had a very rare clear moment in my life and unplugged the powercord from the flatscreen for 20 seconds to reset stuff on its internal chips. It worked for me back then, but the blocks here and there might indicate GFX driver corruption or a part of your GFX card isnt working as it should. An old card on low settings give at least a viewof the game. This a good time to have a spare old working GFX card around for quick diagnosis. Other things you can think of when any other option is atempted, look at the biosversion, reset it and run through its settings again. Make the whole computer powerless for 5 minutes, disable firewall and antivirus or even deinstall it, take out the GFX card measure voltage on the powercords and give it some cleanuplove, go crazy.

How-to: Create net settings that fit YOUR connection!
BRooDJeRo replied to Megagoth1702's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Im not so sure if the network settings are actualy fully working as intended. A tester might know more on this. Perhaps this manual tweak is the solution to it as something might not go well for everyone on automatic throttling. -
Hmm yes, ic. Went forumhopping before having diner. Raw meat heals. Public servers, public settings. Most ppl actualy do have trouble with shoelaces. :yay:

What problems are the people having that are serving a server and this is a direct fix for? -

First i want to fly something new, then ill start believing. This forum is full with promising pictures of numerous airplanes and an erea on the other side of the globe more heavily bombarded with nukes than any movie ever try to put on a screen at once. Hours are days, days are weeks, weeks are months and months are years. You could get married and raise some childeren in the mean time. propaganda = propaganda results = next -
Id say use F10 and put the map on sat view to see runwaynumbers and such. Im still wondering why this isnt set as default instead. As well as a a sat-view option in the missioneditor. A decent missionbuilder knows about these things and should keep these things in mind with his settings when hosting a public server. If not, then i think the builder is selfish or a twat that has trouble with tying his own shoes.

This is about a hosted server not showing up. Once youre in, youre in. Its just not listed so there cant be a 'connection interupted'. Thats something different. It can also mean many things. From high ping or bad server to a slow harddisk. Its like a standard Windows error message without any valuable information. You basicly start investigating your connection and rule out anything else first. Your logs might give more clues. Theres many topics on what could be the problem. Search for it and ask there.

Cant wait myself till one of the next patches where this fix is implemented... It seems to do anything with a failure in reconnecting at some point. It will be awesome when this works, but im also curious on why the connection itself drops. For some servers this doesnt seem to happen and for some it does. This might not even be masterserver related.

The specific skinfile must be on the server and all others that use that server. The fact that a certain normal default skin is chosen instead of the orange-error when lets say a 3rd party skin is used that no1 else has on its system sounds more like a whole function than just a changing a file. Is it a special skin that comes with a Black Shark module or third party?
-
For a typical skin to appear for everyone it needs to be on all the clients of subject as well as the server. A solution is a default skin that isnt 'error orange' when a skin isnt recognized. Perhaps this is in place now or all modules and software contain the same skinpacks. There doesnt seem to be an automatic download/upload system in place for skins to spread it to all participants.

Yeah, the client on the other computer logs in fine. Clueless... Went to the toilet, made some coffee and a sandwich, client desides to bug me in the ..... loool Edit: Solved, corrupt/changed password saving.

Is the masterserver offline at this moment? Im getting 'invalid master login' when connecting to the masterserver.
-
Im not sure if this fix is already implemented through auto-update. A servertest running right now is currently de-listed. Edit: Offline

A new reading on the time and date of this post simulates the same result as on the graphs of page 1. Im not sure if there is specific equipment on hop 12 that could give this kind of a packettrace result. It doesnt seem to be particularly blocked as there is a buildup. Maybe it is. Perhaps there is another sort of connectiontest somewhere im not aware of that could be done from this location that is compatible with the systems in place. Id be glad to hear of it. A packettrace to the server in moscow back then was immediate 100% where these kind of tracings towards seem blocked. A hickup in reconnecting seems to be present indeed, but that also raises the question for me why a reconnect is needed that often. Even without load. Just random after a while. A fixed reconnect would at least relist the server and thats a double-win on its own.

Thats what 'manuel' says yes.

Command and Conquer control in F10 view
BRooDJeRo replied to martin.hedin's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
One problem. DCS is not an RTS game, but a FPS combat simulator. -
I hope that you guys finaly tackled this problem, i was having this issue for along time. Ill try a multiplayer platform again when reactions are positive. Thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=91905

I didnt have any sound in the multiplayer client only. For some reason sound was turned off in the Win7 volumemixer which wasnt before. Maybe this is also the case for others. How this could happen is unclear to me. All i know is that i didnt turn it off or anyone else. Im the only one that lives here and the only one that has access to this machine.

I was able to reproduce the crash once. Steps: - Start multiplay with the direct multiplay link - Dont login and set to ADSL 512 - Restart client - Login to masterserver Perhaps it has nothing to do with the settings, the problem is elsewhere and works like the lottery. The soundissue seems to remain after deleting the settings and unplugging the headset. In the singleplayer client sound work fine. The log has for me an unknown entry. 00000.521 INFO SOUND: Using SSE FTZ mode. What does SSE FTZ mode mean? Edit: Using the DCS repair function didnt resolve the multiplayersound issue. I also dont have any issues with sound in any other type of software. Windows doesnt produce any errorlog.
