  1. Flight Qualifications Campaign Thought tankers normally use VHF AM, or is that a made up standard ED introduced?

  6. Thanks! I'm having trouble remaining inside the MOA as I don't know where its boundaries are. Hence I'm wondering this, if the WP of which I can assume I have to fly to is at 055 because the instructor made me do some extensive manoeuvring, while he tells me to head for 040, what should I do? Follow the instructor's orders and head for 040 and get off the flight plan, or follow the flight plan?
  7. No, there's not. Thats the whole issue... We need a plan tool for things like rotate speeds, abort speeds, fuel management and optimal cruise speeds, delivery planning, threat management, you name it...

  9. See if you can make a markpoint right at the foot of the supporting pillars. In real life that would be an ideal hit point for the average concrete support.

  11. If OP is still having trouble I suggest trying the attached files. Don't worry about the version number, I'm using them in 1.2.10. FPS is limited to 30 for use with vsync and sub 60 FPS performance. I strongly recommend trying the tweaked files first without disabling that limit, you're free to change it afterwards if gameplay doesn't feel smooth. Imho a constant 30 FPS gives a much smoother feel than FPS jumping between 40 and God knows how much. Files are JSGMEable in their current folder structure. I've attached a screenshot of my mods so you can compare. FYI I'm getting 30 FPS constant: GT 640M i7 3610QM 1366x768 AF application controlled 4x MSAA All high except for civ. traffic (low) and water (low)
  12. Realistically, you'd want to blow up the support with a low angle impact from the side instead of dropping something straight on top of the deck. Naturally a bridge is made to enable traveling over the deck so the thing it does best is counter forces pushing down on the deck. You'll want to cripple your target by aiming at its weakest spot, not its strongest. From an engineering point of view (with only limited knowledge of weapon systems) this is where a JDAM would be ideal, if it were properly implemented with all its features as you'd be able to program the angle at which you want the bomb to hit the target.

  16. As the title says. I can't take control over the player assigned vehicles in any SP mission, goes for stock missions as well as custom ones. Resaving in the editor does not solve it. Double checked if vehicles have the skil set to "player". Also double checked if I have the modules properly installed and licensed. EDIT: Same goes for SP and MP missions started via the editor and the same goes for MP missions on both my own server or other's. Game just became unplayable.

  18. DCS A-10C QUESTIONS That's exactly the kind of answer I thought I was going to get. I had a gut feeling one was a last alternative compared to the other I just couldn't base that on anything.
  19. Crystal clear. So, on what is the decision between either one based, a trade off between accuracy and safe escape altitude (based on ground threats)? Or is there more to it?
  20. What is the theoretical difference between a HARB and a HADB delivery? Both are initiated from a medium to high altitude it seems and both can vary from 30 to 60 degrees dive if I recall correctly, so where do they differ?

  23. DCS A-10C QUESTIONS I agree with you, TAD, radio/comms, countermeasures, JDAMS, and JHMCS could sure use (improved) implementation and would make for a nice Warthog 2 sim. However, firstly it's not as easy as you'd hope it to be and secondly you'll have to take into account what I wrote in my previous post.

DCS A-10C QUESTIONS Your only hope is a modding group like BMS but even then you'll have to start cracking things open which ED probably does not want you to touch because of their agreements to model certain aspects of older suites and/or to a more simplified extent, so it's unlikely that organising such projects is done on ED.com.
