@ Sabre I've ran through Sith's troubleshooting 101. I have no heat issues. 45 deg C CPU and 50 deg C GPU. Flow's 27 deg C. Thanks for the input tho. @ Grimes I've deleted the old logs so I can't upload them now. Reason for this is I didn't want to accidentally mix up logs and post wrong ones. I will start a session tonight and post the logs immediately. I didn't know the WARNING line referred to the line directly above it. How should I interpret this, the game has tried to execute the line 38323 times throughout the 446 time window, which started when joining the session? Or did it try to execute the line 38323 times at the 446th second after joining the session? This could be crucial in trying to rule out factors.. If the former is the case, it would indicate it is constantly trying to do something which somehow is not working. If the latter is the case, it sounds likely to me that I (or somebody else on the server) did something which my client somehow can't handle.

Please check if you have FXAA turned on. It is promoted as a 'free' form of AA but in reality it just blurs edges so they seem smooth. If you pop-up your ingame FPS meter, is the small yellow text blurred as well?

I didn't do that in any of the cases.

What exactly RWR-related makes it crash? Just having it turned on?

Mine just crashes randomly.. There's no way for me to reproduce it. My only guess is it happens when another player does something or has something. But that doesn't explain why it only happens to me and not to other players in the server.

Looks like it's Outerra instead of DCS..

IMHO they look the most like those you see in the dozens of YT clips if you compare them with the old and new DCS flares. Do you have some reference pictures of how you'd want them to look?

Not to forget proper release programs with intervals wouldn't hurt either, provided the modeling of flare effectiveness is realistic. Else it's just 'cool' to do it the right way.

Not sure what's going on but since a few days I'm having a lot of random crashes, at least in multiplayer. I dug into the .LOG and I noticed it always crashes after a line like this: 00446.554 WARNING LOG: 38323 duplicate message(s) skipped.I also have lines like these with only a few (1, 2, 4..) deplicate messages which DCS seems to survive. However, when this line indicates a number well into the 40k things start to go wrong with a CTD as result. Any ideas?

You still can. At least I can.. You need to make sure you select the bind command which allows for mouse and keyboard inputs. Some commands come in multiple versions, one for sticks, one for keyboard/mouse.

Where do you get a PS3 cam for 10 bucks then? And how can you be sure it's the version/revision that allows for easy removal of the lens?

It is not said that IF the L-39 brings multicrew at the time of it's initial release, other multicrew airframes will benefit from this feature as well as of that moment.

Is anybody aware of a webcam that natively supports IR imaging with the option to filter out the visible spectrum? My own experience and what I read on forums is that 90% goes wrong messing with a webcam as it is natively designed to do exactly the opposite of what we as simmers would want it to do.

Yes you can. By default Alt + F1 disables the pit and shows only the HUD and at least in case of the A-10C the MFDs. I'm using a small .LUA edit to remove the MFDs in that screen. HUD Only View.zip

Definitely get a >= 250GB SSD. Given that you plan on buying an unlocked CPU one can reasonably assume you intend to OC it. In that case I would strongly recommend the ASUS Maximus VII Z97 which is basically made to support all kinds of OC stuff natively via the BIOS. The non-gaming boards like the one you propose don't do that to the same extend or worst case, not at all. Price difference is peanuts. Last thing, about that RAM, see if you can get 8CL RAM. Yours are 9CL. An example is the Crucial Ballistix Tactical. Don't bother going higher than 1,600MHz though when running an i7. EDIT: Oh and I see you are spending quite some bucks on a high airflow case yet you want to watercool it? I'd suggest air cooling it so it makes less noise. (Watercoolers generally are loud.)
