You gonna OC that i7?

From what I know watercooling like the Corsair H100 is like the GAU-8 compared to the air cooling I mentioned.. I'm not sure what I'd have to do to mod such a cooling?

I've got enough network storage space for loose data. Only thing I need local is OS, Office, some utilities, DCS, BMS, Prepar3D, ....and SWTOR (Sorry, boys will be boys). What I'm worried about most is the cooling performance and the noise. I'd like the noise level to be notebook-ish, hence my choice for the case and the ASUS GPU. Reviews claim the latter is the one of the most quiet 780s.

Currently I'm making a new rig on paper. I'd like some opinions on it. Having DCS (+ EDGE) / BMS / Prepar3D in mind. CPU - i7 4770K (aim is to touch the 4.5Ghz) MB - ASUS Maximus VII Ranger (future proof Z97) GPU - ASUS GTX780 DC II OC 3GB RAM - Crucial Ballistix Tactical 2x4GB (1600 CL8 ) CPU Cooler - Noctua NH-D14 Case - Fractal Design Define R4 Pearl Black (I don't want it to look like a gaming rig) PSU - Seasonic S12G 650W SSD - Samsung 840 Basic 250GB (already have that one) Wifi - TP-Link TL-WN751ND Initially I'll be running 1x 1080p. Obviously I want smooth 60FPS, preferably with everything maxed, SweetFX, and some texture improvement mods.

Right... Didn't accept 7z it seems.

I've been messing around a bit in Excel to see if I could come up with a user friendly 'UI' to edit and set your CMS programs for the A-10C. I might improve it in the future and even attempt to leave Excel out. The basic programs are roughly based on Eddie's programs but you're free to edit them to your own liking ofcourse. It's pretty straightforward, give in your DCS World installation path and hit the Load into DTC button to load the programs as default ones for the Hawg. If you encounter any problems or feel there's something missing, let me know.

Getting a 404 on the second link, can you attach the pdf manually?

Do not confuse NVS and FLIR.

Can IR camera see through clouds? Without getting unnecessary technical you can put it like this: there's night vision and there's thermal imaging (like FLIR). The first is merely image enhancement so whatever obstructs the actual image also obstructs the enhanced print. The latter is based purely on IR light, it can't see what we can see with our eyes, it can only distinguish between warm and cold reflection of objects. Hence it can see thru clouds and is often part of an all-weather sensor suite.

Free Keyboard Maps for A-10C, F-15, KA-50, Su25T, Su27/33

Nice overviews. Mind me asking where you've got the threat information from? Effective ranges and areas of coverage specifically. -
A-10C Countermeasure Tutorial Future ideas: comprehensive tutorial full of tips/tricks for all types of weapon deliveries. 476th has quite some YTs on it but those are demonstrations instead of step-by-step tutorials. Visual cues are very important here hence YTs would be a good way to give insight.

This'll help making the .LUA file. Change parameters in the first sheet as you see fit (tho I wouldn't recommend it) and the third sheet will give you what you need to copy and paste. Non-US/UK users should use the period (.) as a decimal seperator in the first sheet and not their usual numpad button otherwise it won't work.

This thread should be referenced in the thread: you know you spend too much time on DCS.... When you have 10+ post discussion going on exterior lights. :D

Independent mouse control What might be even more convenient for you is binding mouse4/browser back to pause TIR as long as it is held down, and naturally un-pause TIR when released. That is way faster than lifting your index finger from the left mouse button to the wheel and then click the wheel in a hurry without accidentally scrolling it. And repeating this to un-pause again. By using mouse4 you have your thumb to temporarily pause TIR while you still have your index finger and middle finger free to quickly click left and right mouse and scroll the wheel. You can achieve this easily using AutoHotKey. What you should tell AHK is along these lines: If mouse4 is pressed: click wheel once If mouse4 is released: click wheel once It's all a matter of a few miliseconds and you will never notice any latency. AHK has a very large amount of tutorials and examples as well as a friendly IRC community. Heck I might even bet you'll find the exact script pre-made if you Google it.

I'll post a CL later when I'm at my pc.

AFAIK RL checklists explicitly tell you to turn nav to steady before taking off.
-
As soon as you have power: nav lights - FLASH anti-collision lights - ON formation lights - OFF during day/ON during night Just before take-off: nav lights - STEADY anti-collision lights - ON formation lights - OFF during day/ON during night

With full controls of all vectored thrusters. Think that would be a bitch to hover in.

DCS A-10C QUESTIONS Depending on what source is 'feeding' data to the HSI, the deviation line indicates to what extent you are off course. Make sure you set the steerpoint as source on the nimsip and also make sure the STP is set to the next waypoint. If you're flying the flight path like you shoud and make sharp turns on the WPs, you won't drift off that much hence there is no reason why the deviation line would move all that much. If you feel it is a bug, post a track.

DCS A-10C QUESTIONS Browse my posts. I've described the fix a while ago. I'm on my cell right now.

Browser-Based Multiplayer Mission Planner for DCS: World
JayPee replied to FSFIan's topic in DCS Modding
Will it be possible to implement more pre-set settings besides the WPs/routes in the future? For instance delivery planning by pre-configuring weapon profiles. -
Performance Guide For DCS World If by discrete you mean a setting that forces DCS to use the dedicated chip and not the onboard one, then no, merely setting this does not fix it. Not quite sure what you mean by discrete tho...
