Hi all, I'm using a CH Throttle Combatstick, Pro Pedals and Throttle Quadrant. I've bene using them happily with DCS for some time, with the same profile and no issues. However, I am now having problems where DCS, in both version, has not been responding to some of the button presses. I have checked in CH Control Manager and it registers the buttons being pressed - so I do not think it is an issue with the controller. Does anyone have any advice on what to do for this? Frustratingly it is the hat switch that I use to slew all of the different RADARs in my modules! Thanks in advance. Tom

Hi all, Just found a bit of a problem, that I have got around but a bit annoying nonetheless. When you're starting the aircraft and using Oculus Rift you can not click the switches around the Engine Start Button (or the engine start button). It appears to take the mouse back out to Windows and you can no longer click anything unless I Alt+Tab back into the game - when I can see the cursor again and keep trying to click. I have got around this by assigning buttons on the stick to the switches - so I can now start the aircraft again. Just thought it might be worth raising. Tom

No, the more I think about it there are a lot of Russian planes, until you remove FC3...then there aren't that many. Same if you remove FC3 then US aircraft do drop (F-15C and A-10A). However, the US is quite well represented. A-10C Huey F-86F P-51D F-5E *FC3 - F-15C *FC3 - A-10A F/A18 in development Russia has Su25 *FC3 Su25T Mi8 Ka50 Mig 15 Mig 21 *FC3 Mig 29 *FC3 Mig 29S *FC3Su27 *FC3 Su34? Western Europe: Gazelle Mirage 2000C Anyway, my wish list (which was my point) was for some Western European aircraft.

Regardless, there are Russian aircraft. Europe wise there is the Mirage 2000. That's it, yet Europe produced some innovative and effective aircraft during the same time period. The Draken, Viggen, Mirage III, IV, 5, F1, The SEPECAT Jaguar, the Buccaneer, Tornado, Lightning, Hunter, Sea Hawk, Scimitar, Meteor, Javelin, Vulcan, Victor, Venom, Vampire, Sea Vixen, Harrier, Sea Harrier. Some of the other aircraft listed in other posts are developments of the Mirage III. Gripen, Eurofighter Typhoon, MB339, Apha Jet, Super Etendard, Rafael. That's not even mentioning helicopters. I'm sure some of these will be being worked on, but if we're asked - by whoever - "Any particular model you're interested in?" and people from Europe, or elsewhere, suggest European aircraft they shouldn't be dismissed because some people feel there are not enough Russian aircraft - when they are comparitively well represented; for now. If you're ignoring FC3 then the US isn't that well represented either. It's a 'wish list' and, personally, I'm not overly fussed about learning how to fly Russian aircraft.

I find the labels are only any help with finding where something is. The text is far too small to ever know what it is that I am shooting at, also they overlap so they just turn into a blob and obscure the target. I find the labels to be a pain in DCS, but I also find spotting targets to be practically impossible...so I have to live with them.

Definitely fewer American and Russian aircraft. Would really like to see some European stuff from the Cold War. Has anyone considered approaching the team with Vulcan XH558 and seeing if a model could be done of the Vulcan B.2, some of the funds raised through the sales could go towards the trust.

Proper bombers would seem a very sensible addition. Thing is if you want Strategic Bombers is the map going to be big enough? I'd love to have Lancasters, Halifaxes, Stirlings, Wellingtons, Mosquitos, B-17's, B-24's B-25's, B-26's, Ju-88s, He-111's...but AI would do fine for a start off. I want to have tactical air-power more than strategic. There would probably be a bit easier to model, but I would want to be able to engage the turrets and the bombardier positions. Not fussed about animations in between though - that just adds complexity and time between moving positions. Plus it's not like the pilot moved aft very often to man a turret either. Question is how much of the UK will the Normandy map cover? Will it just be France or will it have the South Coast and Isle of Wight?

Shame that it is not the same airframe though. FRS2 would be better though...twin AMRAAMs plus the sidewinders! I'd buy it now if it would help...

Not sure I would call it a "What If". It flew, it was tested, it just wasn't bought by anyone.

I was sure I'd seen pictures of it with AMRAAMs, in a book - I'll see if I can find it. It might have been Sparrows though.

I know I have posted this elsewhere (just) about the F-20 Tigershark. Would this be a potential aircraft for future development?

Has anyone thought about the F-20 Tigershark? I was watching a documentary about the F-5 and it made me remember the F-20. I know no one bought them, but they'd be fantastic. Small fighter, lots of power, carries AMRAAM and the latest AIM-9, ground attack...what's not to like?

I bought the Mirage at the weekend, but I'm having this problem. If I lock on to them at close range I quickly lose the lock and the missile misses, the aircraft are not using chaff or changing course - they are IL-76's. They're flying straight and level. I was made aware of the change of scan area, so I'm correcting this when it happens, the real difficulty is when the missile has been launched. It means I am missing a sitting target at close range where the missile should not be missing. Is there an estimate on when this could be fixed? I was flying online this morning and fired on someone who was going after a friendly - the instant I fired it broke lock and the missile missed. The RADAR was pointing up as high as it could at that instant. I love the aircraft and this is the only problem that I have found with it.

Hi all, I was wondering whether the destruction of bridges could be used as a trigger. I'm not sure how to do this at the moment (if there is a way). I also wondered whether the dam to the north of Dzhvari was destructible? Thanks in advance, :) Tom

True...but we're not that advanced yet! Is the Laser IR marker different to just the laser? Although I have had the A-10C for a few years I have only just started to learn how to use the systems. Afraid I only started this week. I can fly the Ka-50, but there's loads to learn there too. I have a friend that only flies the Ka-50 and I thought it could be pretty good if we could designate targets for each other. Just do not know how to yet. Thanks, Tom

They all work fine, it is just the A-10A. I have it all installed through Steam, not sure how to uninstall a module.

Hi, The A-10A doesn't have a nosewheel lock (that I am aware of), it just works. It's undamaged as I've just spawned in. The key binds are not conflicted, so I am at a bit of a loss. It works most of the time, but it happened again last night while I was online and I ended up having to quit DCS for at least half an hour before it would work again. :( I'm reading up on the A-10C (which I do have) so that I can start to work out the systems and how to use it all properly (at the moment I can fly it fine, but I don't know how to lock up target or properly use the nav mode).

Hi, I'm having the same, but intermittently. The rudders are moving but the nosewheel will not so I can not taxy. It's odd, sometimes it can be corrected by switching to another aircraft other times I've had to restart the game, other times nothing seems to fix it. I've only had FC3 for a couple of days so I thought I must be doing something wrong (that's what I came here to check). (Also the Zoom function doesn't work) OD
