Made a couple attempts to close and capture Zestafoni today...got close to closing it with 20 minutes left before reset but wasn't successful, so we waited for restart. Restart came and we got back in position (4x Ka50 and Mi-8 with troops), but didn't want things to respawn as the transport came in to land so we waited for unit respawn/repair to do it over again. SAMs never respawned after 50 minutes so we started on the bunkers...ten minutes later we were down to two bunkers left and going in for guns. Suddenly EVERYTHING respawned...SAMs, AAA, and all of the bunkers. I don't think it was a huey bringing in repair crate as we would have seen it. So a total of 90 minutes (with a restart in between) went by before units and buildings respawned there. That doesn't seem congruent with the time frames that have been stated, which is discouraging. Is there a way to add a player proximity check that prevents objects from implausibly spawning right under someone and insta-blasting them out of the sky? I've seen it happen multiple times now that a transport makes it to a closed base just under the wire only to get blown up by SAMs being magically teleported to the area and I can only helplessly watch from my Ka50 cockpit. -

It's pretty hard, since you seem to be contradicting yourself. Which is it, "refueling only affects very rare situations" or "FC3 aircraft sitting on the ground while M2K does its job"? Are you not aware of the current state of Mirage spam that is to the detriment of the mission? Do you really want literally everyone in fighters at all times on Blue Flag? That's exactly what will happen if fueling is not a time-gate for fighter aircraft. -

Slippery slopes are a dangerous thing. You put more fighters in the air quicker and you suddenly have a completely different mission/server (for the worse). Why is this so hard to comprehend? -

Traveling 130nm to get to something to shoot down is such a mundane task, too. Let's move all the opposing bases closer together so we can just get right back to spamming missiles at each other after we get shot down, because **** penalties for being bested by another player, I want my action. Right? -

It takes what, 5 minutes to refuel? If 5 minutes is 98% of anyone's game time (5 minutes and 6 seconds total game time) then I'm not sure DCS, let alone Blue Flag, is the type of game they should be playing. -

Can we please turn off the all seeing eye F10 map setting when dead? It's destroying all gameplay. I fear that all these changes and unintended behaviors are going to turn a lot of people away. -

Yep, used standard troops. We laid waste to EVERYTHING at the fuel base...vehicles, troops, buildings/antennas. It said "closed" twice over the hour we had been trying. -

Tried re-capturing Tskhinvali fuel base tonight just after it got captured from red and went blue and was at 0%...blue vehicles spawned, we blew them up, got notification that it was closed, landed standard infantry...no capture. Tried this multiple times after they respawned and still wouldn't capture after getting the notification that it had been closed. Also, why are SA-11 on the map when we don't have anything that can effectively kill it without being well within its range? -

Ground units moving when being shot at is default DCS behavior, I believe. Not sure if there is a "don't move" setting. -

We don't have data links or AWACS by design choice in this mission. It's specifically disabled to sculpt the gameplay to have that limited amount of information. Spoofing the rules to have basically an AWACS suite in the cockpit of your Mirage doesn't seem to fall within the realm of good moral gameplay, in my opinion. -

Agreed, opening the mission in the editor does feel "gamey" and unintended...almost as "gamey" and unintended as dual-boxing and joining the server with two accounts so people have GCI info while flying their fighter aircraft. ...are we not going to talk about that? (not directed at you, Phoenix) -

Having a JTAC in the area makes BK90 deployment much more feasible, but it requires someone assisting you with a transport helicopter to get the JTAC in the area and feeding coordinates started. Using this strategy you can take out (EDIT: USED TO...new spawn timer makes this almost impossible with 1 Viggen) most objectives just short of an airfield in size. -

Agreed. To add, it would be great to have coordinates of ground units available by some recon mechanic other than JTAC as it makes the Viggen's main attraction, the BK90s, almost useless without precise locations. -
Please? Can you explore other options for the BK90 effect in multiplayer other than a big explosion? Perhaps turning it into a CBU97 at the last moment or programming it to have the same effect? CBU97 seems to work in MP and SP just fine. BK90 MJ1+2 mix has the same sensor fuze effect anyway in SP even though that is not in the real munition. Heck, let the BK90 spawn or drop its own M71 bombs for the same effect! The big bomb bandaid is agony for this module.

@Ciribob are the hour+ long transit times for helis reaching closed enemy objectives intended or is that a result of the incomplete restructuring of the mission at the moment? Also, semi-related, the current respawn time for ground units seems extremely short. Tried closing Gagra SAM site from Sochi with an A-10C and a Viggen on multiple occasions with a couple other players and we couldn't get it to 0% before units were respawning in a three hour period...closest to closed we saw it was 13%, then quickly back to to 50% within a 10 minute span. -

Can confirm issues with Viggen rearming. Initial spawn starts with Mavericks, but any changes requested via the kneepad option completely wipes your ordnance and gives you a clean aircraft. Also, there seems to be sporadic issues with the Viggen flight computer and HUD when spawning from these FARPs...instead of a horizon line being a solid line graphic there was a row of numbers (1234567890....dot...1234567890). Weird stuff. -

Your statement would be valid except that you're coming into a scenario that is primarily based on FC3 aircraft and the Mirage and wanting to change it to what you alone want. If you want a server that is F-5/MiG21 heavy, then look for a server running a late 60s era mission. F-5 and Mig21 have been made more useful by being in their own lives group which affords people the opportunity to fly them without risking their lives they use for the standard aircraft. What else do you think can be done? -

This. Forcing a saturation of these modules (or ANY one or two modules) is a recipe for an empty server. Light fighters or light multi-role fighters is a great name. -

Changing the majority of aircraft to MiG21 and F5 wouldn't promote a healthy population imo. I have neither and have no interest in flying either. Mirage is too common though and should be considered as a standard fighter...there is no true "interceptor" role in blue flag. Naming a group that is a bit of a misnomer. -
