  1. This isn't an attack. I pointed out a fact that was ironic because he was being facetious. You did say that the Su27 should get 27ERs.
  2. This is the price that must be paid for guaranteed fair play within the intended rules of the server. If all players see it has being hurt, then they're not realizing what the alternative is of being hurt more by people gaming the system and breaking rules. I still see a bunch of Mirages...more than FC3 aircraft...but apparently it sure seems to you a lot of things others don't see, heh. So, who knows. I don't think DataLink or Su27 getting 20% fuel to start is why Mirage would be absent...if anything the fuel, D2M, and INS alignment is what did it.
  3. He has said that!! It's funny because you're making a facetious joke, but it's reality...he and others have continuously said exactly that!
  4. No it doesn't and no it doesn't. Again, not everything needs to be equal. If we keep going down this road we may as well all be in the same aircraft...which people also don't like, apparently.
  5. I'm aware of this and it's easily remedied by not allowing the wing tanks on the F15. Anything trying to circumvent the refueling timer should be blocked, IMO. This does not make or prove anything about how the refueling system does not work to combat an over-abundance of fighters in the air. Not everyone is using the F15 externals with empty internals and not everyone is using the repair exploit...or are they? Are all the people here complaining about refuel the ones using it? It takes longer than 3 or 4 minutes to get the Su27 off the ground if you're fueling to 100% by legitimate means. Su27 is easy mode with DataLink now, by the way. I think the server admins should make a public statement regarding using exploits to sidestep mission mechanics and deal with offenders as appropriate after that.
  6. This is a game, not real life. As simulator as it is, it is not real. It's not a matter of CAP process...it's a matter of slowing it down to a tactical and strategic pace. I get it, people in fighters want fighters to shoot down. That's normal. When you feed into that too much with no punishment for being shot down all you have is fighters and no one playing the objectives because they get shot down 4 minutes later by the same guy. And if you do happen to shoot the enemy CAP down 3 times and he runs out of lives, then what happens...he quits the server until lives restart some 4-5 hours later. Now you're playing a one-sided game with zero opponents...which is exactly what we've been seeing as of late.
  7. Ok...180 seconds = 2 minutes. Point still stands. Here's a quick synopsis of what I see the situation as: Refueling for fighters (and fighters only, mind you) is in place to act as a gate so people don't spam the air with fighters. That is specifically the reason that the refueling process upon spawning a new aircraft is in the mission. Some people don't like it so they want to have it changed to 100% fuel and get more fighters in the air quicker...directly conflicting with the mechanic that is in place and put in the mission for that sole purpose. This mechanic was added as a result of other complaints from players that didn't like the high availability of fighters. Some people are choosing to sidestep the refueling mechanic by using a game exploit that is not intended to provide the results that it does given the context in which the refueling mechanic exists in Blue Flag.
  8. I don't know, I'm playing red. So you're saying in order to provide CAP one should not get in a fighter in the first place, but instead get into an airframe that can destroy fuel bunkers...like a ground attacker. I agree with this sentiment, but unfortunately that is not how people are choosing to solve the problem. Each team cannot automatically suppress enemy fighters at the onset of joining or when moving the fight to a new sector. There will be fight vs fighter encounters. There should be punishments for losing these encounters, and advantages for winning these encounters. Why should someone have to best another player 3 times to get even a 5 minute window for attackers to move in? It should be 1 time multiplied by however many players are attacking (and then perhaps divided by other allied CAP). Not every fight is over or about an airfield. What about the dozens of other objectives that your helicopters are being picked off by enemy fighters en route to? It takes 120 seconds to repair and the repair exploit gives full fuel (I think?). I'm just saying you stated that refueling times matter a lot, but then you implied refueling times don't matter in the next paragraph. In any case, an exploit is an exploit. I'm willing to bet anyone using one exploit will be using another exploit. Why tolerate any cheating in the first place?
  9. Just FYI...The scenario you describe in the first part of your post would be drastically changed by the usage of the exploit that you deem "does not give any particular advantage" in the second part of your post.
  10. Has nothing to do with being close to real life. Refueling when respawning is a gameplay mechanic that gives CAP a purpose...eliminate the air threat for your assets playing the objectives. This can't be done effectively if it takes only 3-4 minutes to see the same fighter attacking your allies again. Nobody should have to kill the same player 7 times to call the skies clear for your helicopters or ground attack to move up.
  11. Lives system does not punish or reward someone for that instance of a death/kill. If you provide CAP for ground attack you shouldn't have to deal with the same person over and over in the same reasonable time frame of that sortie or window of defense for your ground attackers. Why should anyone be airquaking on Blue Flag in the first place? Why are you complaining about it anyway? You barely ever fly fighters, TJ.
  12. That's 100% airquake mentality. "Let me get right back to shooting missiles when I get killed because it's boring to have penalties when losing." 6-8 minutes an opponent that you shot down has to wait to refuel is another 6-8 minutes your ground attackers and people actually playing the objectives have to get their job done. 6-8 minutes is not a long time in the time frames that Blue Flag has for its various windows to get things done.
  13. After all the bitching about equal refueling times why wouldn't anyone take offense if the same guys that are bitching are using an exploit in the first place? Why should Ciribob waste the time to go to every Su27 slot at every base and make fuel levels the same just so they can cheat and not give a damn about it?
  14. While we're on the subject of F10 map...I just want to say there's a special place in hell for people that delete map markers that other people take the time to plot out coordinates for and label in a helpful way for the rest of the team.
  15. I especially like the comments. Agent Bill Wilson3 years ago BE ADVISED, AM ADVISING YOU TO BE ADVISED OVER AVDIDSED. WILL ADVISE, OVAR Generic Medic5 years ago BE ADVISED, I HAVE BEEN ADVISED, OVER. BAMFreeman5 years ago I am now advised
  16. Just doesn't make sense to me...the syntax is all goofy: "Be advised <I'm about to advise you>...<here is the information>" ...just say the information and consider them advised.
  17. My favorite is hearing "be advised" before every single statement or the random "FOX 2!!!!" over GCI net with zero context or addressing to anyone...they just really want everyone to know they got to fire a missile.
  18. No one wants to get rid of the map, just the icon that shows your position on the map. @TJ, regarding wind...again this is done easily in WW2 sims with no NDBs or beacons with much more interference from weather/wind due to the nature of the airframes. It's just another skill to sharpen. I think rivers/lakes/mountains/landmasses are distinguishable enough in DCS that it's not that difficult...that's just my opinion though.
  19. People navigate in WW2 sims like IL2:BoS just fine without map aids.
  20. I would really enjoy no icon on F10 map, but I don't think that's the majority opinion.
  21. One day I watched this man get 13 kills in an Su27 without getting shot down once against a horde of blue fighters...before the DataLink tantrum was thrown and it was added. All you red-only guys crying for balance should be listening to every word he says.
  22. Better give the Su27 AIM120s to compensate for this.
  23. 3rd Su27 slot at Maykop spawns you in a spectator view instead of a Su27.
