  1. Scary stuff to think there won't be any improvements/changes...though what I saw is a YouTube video and I can't say that's an accurate representation of any modern sim's rendering capabilities.
  2. That thread is the basis in which I was attempting the changes I wanted...but to no avail. It seems there is all manners of wonky inconsistencies in the lua scripting in regards to the up/down state of the buttons. Hopefully it'll get fixed on release. For now I'm using a TARGET profile for the Warthog throttle only that assigns all 32 dx buttons, but makes the switches react according to their up/down state. It's nothing fancy, but if anyone wants it send me a pm.
  3. Just picked up the Sabre module and I'm trying to get my keybinds setup to correspond to the position my TM Warthog throttle's toggle switches are in as in HOTAS toggle switch up = in game toggle switch up and HOTAS toggle switch down = in-game toggle switch down without having to cycle the HOTAS toggle switch twice...just like I can in the P-51 module editing the default.lua in DCS World\Mods\aircraft\P-51\joystick\default.lua. It doesn't seem to work the same way in any iteration I've tried it (by adding value_up = x to the existing buttons). Has anyone found any success trying to accomplish something like this?
  4. It will wipe any toggle switch custom keybinds you've made as it rewrites/replaces the default.lua in DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\P-51D\Input\P-51D\joystick. Kind of PITA to re-do all of that. I REALLY wish they'd stop screwing with controls stuff each patch.
  5. If everyone was expecting Luthier to fail like many are saying in this thread, why did they back the Kickstarter in the first place?
  6. I'd like to chime in here and add my 2 cents... I disassembled and re-greased my Warthog this Memorial weekend (twice, thought I put too much grease the first time, so cleaned and re-applied) and could not, for the life of me, find any silicone grease or M-kote 30ML in the city of Seattle where I live...I was itching to do this project and REALLY didn't want to wait for ordering the grease in the mail, so I did some research and found Lucas White Lithium Grease was being used for similar applications. It's white, has the texture of cold sour cream, and is odorless. It's NLGI #2 so I guess pretty close in viscosity to what Ronin was using in his video...though upon further research, I'm seeing people reference that some white lithium greases are not plastic safe, which is kinda scaring me now. Action on the stick is smoother than ever after sanding down the pegs and holes that hold the half-sphere in as instructed in Ronin's video...which is what made the most difference, I think. A quick warning to anyone about to try this, be very careful you don't put too much pressure on the wires while removing the pegs that hold the ball in...they get in the way very easily and can get smashed/severed/exposed without notice. I completely removed the rubber ring since it was an absolute wreck when I opened up the stick. I don't know what purpose that thing serves. As I said, no stiction at all anymore. I do feel like the center-most 80% of play on the stick has great motion, but the outer 20% feels..."squishier" than before...as if I there is a soft padded "dampening" effect on the edges of the control limits. Not sure what is causing this, if it was already there before I disassembled (and it's just placebo that I feel it now), or if it's because I removed the rubber ring and it's affecting the action. In any case, I'll be hunting that guy that is making replacement rings. If anyone has similar experience, I'd like to know...also like to know if anyone has any objections to white lithium grease for this sort of application (and if I should be speeding home from work to clean it off ASAP as to prevent my stick's guts from turning to mush)...how long would it take for a plastic-volatile grease to start affecting our Warthog, anyway?
  7. I've been trying to get this to work for some hours now...but I'm inexplicably crashing upon loading a mission. Followed the steps in the first post over and over just to make sure I wasn't muffing it up. It's a straightforward JSGME mod install, not sure what the deal is. I can tell SweetFX is enabled because I can toggle it in the menu screen, but as soon as I click on a mission I CTD. Using a GTX 670 with the latest drivers on a triple screen 5760x1080 setup (tried 1920x1080 as well, no go). Using DCS 1.2.7. Are there any in-game video settings that conflict with SweetFX? EDIT: Figured out the issue (PEBCAK)...I had dxtory running the entire time and I forgot. Everyone knows FXAA injectors don't like overlays to interfere. I'm now running sweetfx with zero issue.
  8. I'm having an issue with binding my keys for Flaming Cliffs 3 aircraft...for some reason certain vital keys are "greyed" out and I'm unable to bind them to anything on they keyboard, which is essential for my current TM Warthog profile. Screenshot below. Loading the default.lua does not solve this, nor does loading any of my .lua for the other aircraft. Not being able to bind Air-to-Ground mode on an A-10A is making the aircraft fairly useless and unplayable for obvious reasons...any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. I would totally buy this for the price I just bought a TM Warthog (~$400, although $500 seems reasonable)...but one condition...Force feedback integration is a must! The market is wide open for FFB flight sticks right now with the discontinuation of the Logitech G940, btw.
  10. Still getting "connection interrupted" on most servers...what version is the majority using that I can revert to?
  11. New to FC3, just got my TM Warthog all configured for F-15 and finally started playing the game only to realize the MiG29s in the instant action F-15 intercept (my test bed mission) are completely invulnerable to my missiles and gunfire. This is frustrating to say the least...I'm running the game with "immortal" unchecked, in fact, I'm running it in full simulator config. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Can't find anything on the forums about it using search function.
  12. Any TM Warthog owners know how to get a profile to automatically start when you start a game? I know you can launch any game and profile/script through the TARGET GUI, but I don't want to have to start that up every time I want to play something. I'm messing around with the TARGET script editor and notice a "compile" function that apparently creates a "sys.dll" in the scripts folder, but that does nothing when I put it in a game directory like IL2:1946 or DCS(was just a wild shot in the dark to get it working). Anyone got any pointers/guidance?
  13. Aww man, user fail. I'm usually not ever one of "those guys". Right in front of my face. Thanks.
  14. Couldn't find a "CHAIN" function within TARGET, but I realized I needed to configure delays (20ms each, so 1st LARROW - no delay, 2nd LARROW 20ms delay, 3rd LARROW 40ms delay, etc) between the button assignments to accomplish what I was doing. Silly me. Problem fixed. Thanks for the reply. Now I'd like to figure out how to configure an ongoing chain that doesn't stop until I release without having to create hundreds (actually, infinite) of new assignments with corresponding delays manually...
  15. Hi all, new Warthog owner here, getting my config just right in TARGET (not using the default plug and play as I want my own button mappings) I'm trying to bind a throttle button to a combination of keyboard buttons (Left arrow x3), but for the life of me cannot figure it out. All I can get TARGET to do is create a sequence of bound buttons that activate the next on each subsequent pressing of the assigned throttle button. Is TARGET completely incapable of creating a true macro? Or am I missing something completely obvious? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  16. Exact same problem here. Windows 7, Intel i5, GTX 570 x2 (tried with SLI on and off)...brand new install. Can not load any mission.
  17. Is there actual VoIP via the in-cockpit radio?!
