  1. ?!?!?! So it doesn't accelerate?
  2. ^^^^ Those ramp takeoffs seem so unsafe. Aircrafts loaded with bombs, missiles and fuel are about to hit the water...
  3. To be even more correct R-77 is also yesterday's news and '80s technology. Although China considered a purchase of 1000 of these they appear more focused on developing the PL-13. Russia got some K-100 Novator models on display during airshows (MAKS 2007) so there's really no need for R-27EA. Articles such as that one are written by laymen reporters that surf the net looking for sensations.
  4. Pretty much! Plus specs are off too!
  5. HB Nam!
  6. DCS:F-18 is welcome here!
  7. ED supports realism these days and R-27EA is a sience ficton. No such thing IRL! Salut!
  8. It's important to note that all Soviet Su-25 and Su-25K were built in Factory 31, Tbilisi Georgia. UB versions (two seaters were built in Ulan Ude). Today Russia only makes modifications of existing airframes. Latest and most numerous Su-25 version is Su-25SM. These are old airframes built during USSR days that got their engines refurbished and replaced with lots of avionics and electronics adopted and upgraded from T and TM programme. Today there's aproximately 30 of Su-25SM in use with Russian airforce.
  9. T modification was abandoned while Su-25TM (Su-39) entered producion. Total of 11 Su-25T were built (3 prototypes during '80s and 8 production aircraft in 1990/91). Total of 8 fresh Su-39 was built and 8 Ts got converted to TM but production ceased with introduction of Su-25SM, first time active in Ossetia/Abkhazia war in 2008.
  10. Yeah it's pretty messy! Another FC2 patch to address these problems is welcome here!
  11. LOL! Only if Toyota donates some money to ED for commercial purposes! However I prefer Chevy Silverado 3500HD flatbed!
  12. Another Q, no satelite map view option in Mission Editor which is a shame compared to FC1.12. I like it a lot as I could place static objects more accurately with sattelite view... INU FIX point with Helos? What's that for?
  13. What? They've added an extra seat to that Su-39 #21?!! I guess some of the electronics suite had to be removed?
  14. ^^^^ I see and hear no shells exploding! Only small arms gunfire that can be fired by anyone!
  15. That's PS...
  16. It's made on purpose for terrain denial. Some of the bomblets remain unexploded but would explode once you touch 'em or try to remove 'em.
  17. Cool, I got these few years back, I like 'em 'cause they completely overlay my regular dioptre glasses an keep them on my nose without a chance of falling off during head jerks or contacts! So I also use 'em for active sports such as downhill cycling, basketball and airsoft.
  18. Yeah, now that you've mentioned it...
  19. Sometimes you people just make me wanna... LOL! Anyone?!
  20. I said that few pages back so you could use quote.
  21. So you rammed it out of the sky?! That's what I call intercept :music_whistling:
  22. Well how about that?! I still do remember Beczl C-8 model was being laught at!
  23. Inspection. Clear indicator that cannon was in use...;)
  24. Yeah, thanks all of you. Here's some recent Libya photos (Dec 2010, Jan/Feb 2011) In the office: Camp gate Nr1: Oil rig: Wheel of a rig chasis: VAOS Ras Lanuf - Nafoora - Sarir pipeline (182.6 km of lenght in Nafoora): Dawn over Nafoora: Making the camp green: Hope you'll like these! Cheers!
  25. He worked there for Austrian/Maltese oil company called VAOS (used to be Voest Alpine Oil Service but during '90s changed name to Value Added Oil Service) and was stationed at Mars El Brega, Ras Lanuf and Nafoora in period from 1987 thru Feb26th, 2011 when evacuated by RAF C-130 landing at Nafoora Airstrip. Airstrip was under construction for repairs so noone expected a Hercules landing there. First one that came was a RAF bird taking 50 workers (wintershall, Bonatti, VAOS, MAN) to Malta and the second Herc boarded remaining group of Europeans. Second Herc (the one my father was in was fired upon by local population (rebels). They also tried to puncture the tires but were beaten off by RAF/SAS servicemen on board of the aircraft. Hercs egressed 20m AGL over terrain and 10m ASL over Mediterranean. Too bad noone ('xcept reporters) wasn't allowed taking photos on board... He was a VAOS - Nafoora camp supervisor and now had to report all VAOS equipment losses to rebels and locals but also to ex-military personnel (who joined rebels) and rushed in with guns and RPGs and confiscated all they found worthy and broke all they couldn't carry. He was shocked to see familiar Libyan faces from local villages he cooperated with turning hostile over night plundering what they lived off. Last camp he supervised was VAOS Nafoora located at 29°15'39.68"E / 21°32'56.92"E (if you look at Google maps it's the one with grass field in between containers). I'll post some of his photos from Libya here although not related to topic of this thread for you to see if you wish!
