^^^^ Yes, early Flankers had this option. Today Sorbtisya is mounted on wingtips for practical reasons so stations 3 and 8 could rather carry SARH missiles! Nice videos Mikoyan, thanks 4 sharing!

Well of course there should be a difference in safety procedures with F-22 and A-10A but the worth of the platform is least concern. If oxy distribution issues occure with A-10A simple 25.000 ceiling limit is something A-10A pilots can work with but air superiority plane is kinda limited here, don't you think?

NOw that you've brought it up, IMHO it's a BS. Dunno why this was implemented with FC2, perhaps to help guys from losing EOS track or to level things out a bit for less ET and 73 silent kills. It's fishy at least! EOS and Radar are not linked at all meaning there's no automated radar activation in case of IR signal diminish. At least not IRL. With MiG-29A 9.12 radar's off 'til you flick the switch - manually! There's radar panel located under the landing gear lever and you'll see a on/off toggle switch located under the lower rotary knob (radar modes-VS,BVR,Fi0). IIRC it spells излучение. If in off it's off no matter the EOS. Sometimes it even stays off with switch being on but that's another story! HOwever selecting the VS thru rotary knob automatically turns on EOS...

Happy B-Day B-Shot!

This ain't true...no cameras whatsoever standard on Iraqi Fulcrums of that period...might be a private (pilot's) camcorder but no such thing as HUD recorder with MiG-29 9.12

Someof the security issues mentioned here are never considered a problem with other (countries) airplanes. I remember in ex-Yugoslavia pilots reporting oxy problems (one MiG-21UM was lost in '86 due to pilot hipoxia) and no one was grounded pending investigation. Yes F-22 is expensive plane to fly around if you've got problems, F-22 pilots are too unique to sacrifice so staying below 25.000 is a must til problem gets fixed!

great pics andfind¨¨

There u go...

In case of FC3 please return General visibility slider in Mission editor/weather... Current FC2 skies are to clear IMHO.

By looking the video one can clearly see higher AOA with F-16 than Su-27 who rules in the <600km/h arena. ;)

Well it depends, I hardly believe this deflection is possible during flight as it would probably cause more drag than action. This pic is probably taken with engines off so you can't expect any hydro pressure or it's only possible for steering during taxi. Even if it's possible, J-20 would lose a lot of speed and reduce her maneuverability... Just my 2 cents!

...he got grounded 4 life after pulling such a stunt.

Ejection was filmed on tarmac with crash test dummy pilot so it's kinda jibberish talk here...

EOS tells no difference firend or foe! Also beware of strayed IR missiles if you've got friendlies in front!

Most of the photographs of today are somewhat photoshoped, just think of gamma level , brightness, sharpness etc. Today's super pics are kinda like supermodels, everyone has some sort of make up to make 'em seem perfect. I like photoshop as well but in hardly noticable amount, just as I like girls who wear makeup that can be noticed only by using your tongue. ;)

Disbanding of those units is a biggest mistake Russians can make. Those dozen aircraft and their pilots are Thee only "thru the year" airworthy and most valuable part of Russian VVS and PVO! Strizhi and Knight were established by pilots in order to keep flying and to maintain at least dozen airworthy fighter aircraft at Kubinka.None of these aircraft were customized for aerobatics, they retained their fight capatibilities.

Can say for sure 'cause I didn't pay attention closely but MiGs in FC2 seem a better turners than they were in 1.12... I still have to cross check between 1.12 and 2.0 to make sure. Acceleration and engine power seem a bit downgraded now so supercruising w/o AB and staying level at 17.000m is practicaly impossible which is fine with me as it was far from real. However we again struggle with notorious LOD bug with MiGs which does not only burden the opponent but also prevents MiG pilot from seeing his flight members when flying wide. I certainly hope this gets addressed with 59th Buncsi MiG-29 mod which I crave. Other than that, it only took me a couple of Free Flights (SP) to get used to a FC2 MiG, no major changes 'xcept 4 the slightly different engine management. I remember that full AB in FC1.12 made me be too fast for some sustained turning within cornering speed limits so I always had to hand control the AB keeping it just slightly over the Full Mil detent on my Cougar throttle (cca 101% RPM). Now you can firewall it and forget about it for a while, maintaing the cornering speed with pitch and G. She still accelerates better than any other flyable and climbs faster but also bleeds less speed when suddenly choked to idle RPM in level flights. IMHO, MiG does it's job in a short fights that take 5 minutes to get there, 5 minutes to fight and 5 minutes to RTB. Being lower than it's target and scanning with EOS helps a lot but use of onboard radar ruins your chances of being lethal when up against fighter jets. Thank God for a GCI events over at 51st... Radars are only good when intercepting unprotected attack/tanker/transport aircraft.

MiG-29G = MiG-29A in terms of payload, avionics and performance, imperial HUD units; MiG-29S - R-77 option (RL questionable), slightly more fuel, integrated ECM, same performance as MiG-29A
-
I second that, MiG can whoop lots of asses in MP!

Outstanding! Rep U!

What do you mean with flying airbrake? I had no issues in FC1.12?

Amazing video...thsnks 4 sharing!

This seems as the most amazing mod ever! Keep it up guys and keep us informed! Rep U all!

OK guys thanks for your replies, I managed to reinstall my OS but still haven't installed FC2 'cause I've gotta stress test OS stability to see if it's properly installed. It's Win7 this time so I need some time for tweaking before spending another FC2 key only to find out that OS needs reinstalling....
-
OK, my system crashed and I'll have to reinstall my OS. Now, I still not sure should I go for Vista again or Win7. I cannot perform FC2 deactivation before OS reinstall so I'm not sure how it's gonna turn out. There's a couple of questions I'd like to get answers to before proceeding. I installed FC2 to Vista OS, so if I reinstall same OS what's gonna happen with FC2. Can I reinstall FC2 with same key as before or should I use new key. Can I deactivate FC in order to save keys? WIN7 - Vista sucks and WIN7 is far better, if I go for it what happens with my FC2 (de)activation options? Thanks all!
