  1. Well, programming in game is much easier : you select the function, you select which hardware, click a button on the screen, actuate the button on the stick...and voila. You can save the profile as a lua-file for back-up and sharing and just ploink it straight back in if you need to reinstall. Easy. Just out of curiosity : what do you use macro's for ?
  2. Why not use the ingame button assignement ? It easier then creating a profile in CM. At least for the standard sim-functions. For the extra-fancy stuff you need CM.
  3. Nope, it's the same keypress. The sim just checks how long you hold that button on your joystick.
  4. Well, you can save your profile from the options screen inside the sim. It gets exported as a .lua - file. Just a matter of putting a copy of that file somewhere safe.
  5. Taipan, did you consider programming your CH-gear from within DCS ? It's quite easy, and saves you the hassle of CMC-file. I'm running BS and GC2 that way, and I'm quite pleased with it.
  6. Not a relevant question at this point, as it is an unoptimised Beta-release. It will improve as development and code-optimalisation proceed.
  7. Okay, smartasses, the problem is solved. Had to save the forum options again. Thanks for your input (sorry couldn't type the word "help" there):D
  8. Hi, when I opened the Eagle-forums today I was surprised to see everything, except the forumitems, has changed from English to Spanish. For example, stickys are now Adherido. When I check my settings, thru "Editar opciones" in the "Panel de control" I can see the language is still set to English. Even when I click the "Wiki"-link I get transferred to a Spanish ED-Wiki page. Weird. Anyone seen this before ? I did install a new Canon networkprinter a few days ago. But my Windows language settings are still okay, and so are all the sites I visit regularly. Only ED turned Spanish.
  9. Good work Sarge. As said before in this thread : pages 59 to 62 in the FC2 manual: great explanation of the autopilot system for the SU25T. I again recommend you to read it as things like "combat steering" and "terrain avoidance" get explained really well in there.
  10. Look in the manual for a good explanation of the autopilot panel of the SU25-T. I find that very helpfull when flying. See page 59 to 62. The SU25T autopilot is quite different from the standard SU25 as it has the AFM. Your timings make me think you're located somewhere in Europe, yes ? With all that available time you seem to have, I'd recommend joining a squadron. It will dramatically change the way you experience flying a sim. It's a lot of fun, and makes learning the ins and outs a lot easier.
  11. This sounds very unlikely. But I'm glad your FC2 problem got fixed. Computers sometimes behave strange, but so do people. :smilewink:
  12. Well, if there's one thing you need to fly an attack helicoptre as it is supposed to be flown, it's patience. The patches worked flawless for me, and a lot of other people. I'm sure there's a lot of people here willing to help you out, but you'll have to show up with some essential and clear information. -have you tried searching (with the handy search-function) this fine forum for the errors you see on your screen ? -I'm sure you know 1.02 goes over a fresh install, and not on top of 1.01 ? -your hardware specs -when exactly do you get the (vaguely described) errors ? During patching? While launching the sim ? -what is the exact text in the errors you get ? Maybe you can take a screenshot of them ? Hope it helps.
  13. Page 289 in the manual. There's quite some usable information in that manual you know.
  14. Nope, I fly it from time to time and really enjoy it. The rest of the guys usually fly the eggbeater, and I do SEAD for them. One of them has a crush on the A-10 and sometimes flies that.

  16. That's a shame mate. Is it an option for you to close the curtains ? Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity ? Getting pain in your neck is not normal at all. Have you tried adjusting the profile to suit your needs ? What do you find annoying about the TrackClip Pro ? There's got to be a way to solve your problems with TIR. Try and describe your problems in detail, maybe someine here can come up with a cure ? F.e : get your hands on a large piece of cardboard (karton in't Vlaams :smilewink:)and put it up against the back of your chair to block all lightsources from behind you.
  17. Hi Phoenix, this is where the Cougar crowd hangs out nowadays : http://www.cougar.flyfoxy.com/ And this is where some of the Frugal-survivor gather : http://frugalsrefugees.yuku.com/directory
  18. Ali, the file you've posted a link for contains the keyboardcommands for the original Lock-On release. Only partially useable for Flaming Cliffs one and two, as non of the specific SU-25T-commands are there, and some others like "KOBRA" are no longer there. But I do like the lay-out.
  19. Oh, c'mon man ! Look who(s post this is, and what he's asking : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=941022#post941022
  20. Indeed, one of the better noob-questions. But you're giving us very little information to work with. There is no such thing as a RCVR-mode to my knowledge. So please tell us exactly what you do to get there, and someone around here will be able to help you.
  21. There are more threads about this subject. Use he search function to look them up. Most issues have already been posted on in this forum, so you're bound to find answers to most of your questions by using the search-function. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=52871&highlight=mission As stated already : Ven posted some real nice AAR's on the F-15 campaign. Look them up. Seems mission #2 in sot in that list.
  22. A search of the forums resulted in this : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=53424&highlight=escort+c-17
  23. Your 2 cents are worth their weight in gold. Thanks for chiming in. Very interesting post. On the beaming. So doing it right, does that mean putting him on 3 or 9 o'clock and enter a dive ? Just asking to be sure.
  24. Hey, not too bad  I just wonder why your second missile doesn't track the bandit. I see he goes evasive when your first missile is at approx 13 km. So that must mean the missile goes autonomous at 13 km from it's intended target and he gets a warning on the rwr. Just for information : did you go STT on him before you launched ? I think the reason why your second missile doesn't lock on to him is that while he's evading the first missile, he briefly breaks your radar-lock. So the missile cannot be steered towards the target anymore. In this example your left 36 seconds in between the shots. A little too long in my (humble) opinion. Try it with 10 seconds, see how that works. Ideally you want both missiles to track so in case the first missile misses (remember : missile !!!), you have another chance with the second one. On the quick expending of ordnance : like Pete Bonanni (see links below) said years ago : "it's you against him for all the wine and women in the world". So play it safe rather then sorry. What good is holding on to your missiles when you end up diving towards the ground with fire and smoke pouring from the engines and big parts of your aircraft are missing ?:pilotfly: Below movies are not about BVR, but WVR-combat. Some good info in it though, even if it is about another (long-gone) flightsim : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cQ44gBDSbs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmGKLpoVg38&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRn6qNX9hwc&feature=related
