did you install modman on a different place than before? does it contain addons_fc folder with mods?

i once had a problem when experimenting with different settings. i lost all the trees and couldnt get them back. i lost a lot of time searching for the solution and had to reinstall after all. my advice to you is to save your self some time and make a fresh install.

Looks like the ONLY way (that i know of) to record with fraps is this http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=310652&postcount=1 that means speeding it up later in editor of your choice, and that means no sound from those recordings can be used.

did you solve that problem? i'm on xp and as soon as i start recording with fraps, frames drop to 7-9 :( even in the main menu, when fps show ~500, when i press record they drop to 9 e6600 7950x2 2gb ram i use fraps a long time and have never seen this problem except in lockon. sup with LO and fraps?

yea, all my friends know that i love flight sims and you're right, it's not something to discuss with people who are not into it. luckily i enjoy racing sims as well and almost everyone likes to hear about those.

...LO Red Flag movie that would promote this great exercise held by some of the finest members of LO community? Real life Red Flag has a movie made by IMAX, maybe our community could have a similar movie made by Glowing Amraam (or who ever feels that can fill his shoes). IMAX movie follows a pilot through the exercise and similar approach could give a great result in LOCERF movie IMHO. Starting with a pilot planning the mission with his squad mates, until his RTB (yea, hundreds of megabytes lol). Maybe even narrated and with some TS conversation included. Someone from some weird time zone who just woke up for red flag, holding his favorite mug filled with coffee, would deserve to take the leading role. Anyway, I was just daydreaming and thought I’d share it with you. I’m aware that it’s not a walk in the park to make such a thing, but there’s no harm in wishful thinking.

Keep in mind that antialiasing makes bigger impact on cards performance than anisotropic filtering. I think that 6600 would work best with 2xAA and 4xAF. You can also choose quality of AA and AF, so try setting it on medium quality. It would be the best for you to spend an hour on trying various settings and see for your self which settings give you the most fps (ctrl-backspace for ingame fps counter).

hey Brit I dont really do well when it comes to managing files. I sometimes even have a hard time with fallowing readme which is longer than 3 lines (modman fan here). God forbid me solving something for what i dont have a clear and precise instructions. I think i will use them as they are, but i appreciate your effort to help me. cheers

I finally unpacked my stuff and set up my gaming pc. I tried them and they are cool 8) one question: When in distance, they appear as vehicles. They transform into people when you get closer. Have i done something wrong or is it something we must live with? Once again, nice job :thumbup:
