I own SideWinder2 as well and i'm happy with it but x52 wouldnt hurt though :)
If you try it without FFB, you will see that you are more precise in flight and very soon ffb wont matter any more. It is actualy easyer without it. For example when you stall, your ffb stick will have no resistance and you will find your self turning too much making stall even worse.
If you turn it off, you'll see what i'm talking about. You will find graphics (cockpit vibrations, blackout) and audio (warning signals) feedback just enough to know what's going on.
To turn FFB off go to:
LockOn\Config\producer --> open it with notepad and change true to false
try it this way and I bet you'll stay that way.
