yes, Vati is right. I own SideWinder2 as well and i'm happy with it but x52 wouldnt hurt though :) If you try it without FFB, you will see that you are more precise in flight and very soon ffb wont matter any more. It is actualy easyer without it. For example when you stall, your ffb stick will have no resistance and you will find your self turning too much making stall even worse. If you turn it off, you'll see what i'm talking about. You will find graphics (cockpit vibrations, blackout) and audio (warning signals) feedback just enough to know what's going on. To turn FFB off go to: LockOn\Config\producer --> open it with notepad and change true to false try it this way and I bet you'll stay that way.

take resolution, AA and AF way down. also put it to 16bit. it will run with higher fps with fraps recording then.

I am a bit confused now. If that technique is not effective IRL as you say, than LockOn has a serious bug. It wouldnt be unthinkable to me that LockOn has a bug (can happen to anyone). It would however be unthinkable to me that the manufacturer (ED) would teach you how to exploit their bug. Why brag about it? Please make two things clear to me: 1.Is mission #8 in TopGun teaching me how to exploit LockOn's bug? 2.Are there any more training missions/demos in LockOn that are teaching me to do something that wouldnt be propper/realistic technique IRL? ps. not trying to be a smart a$$, still learning here.

I dont see why it wouldnt work in LockOn. They even teach you how it works and why it is effective. Look in Training-Top Gun-Mission#8 --> "Barrel roll" missile evasion maneuver (for LockOn v.1.1 only)

edit: problem solved, I used basic instead advanced haze. Sorry for posting before I tryed changing all options.

take a look at this movie called Barrel Rollin' Fool you will learn from it, that's for sure. see how missile manouvers towards it's target and you can tell what manouvers targeted pilot is doing to avoid it. I got Router in one room and PC with reciever in other. Reciever is now connected in USB, and my old modem was connected to lan card. I'll get the router in the same room where my PC is and connect it by UTP cable as it was before. Must be couse of USB. I wouldnt mind few FPS loss, but i've lost few crutial FPS where the count was 15-16 (over cities), it is now 11-12 and the difference is huge.
