i would love a vietnam map and a ww2 since it has been mentioned. Although i like all modern jets for me its a lot more fun to have planes that can be modeled closer to what they are, its just better to be able to learn almost everything from an older aircraft that very little of a modern one, so older aircraft = more fun to me. Now i wonder how much fun would it be to carpet bomb with a b52 :joystick: I agree that the mig 15/17 should be brought since they are as iconic as the 21. Anyway in the overview video there is mention of diferent historic periods so lets hope that means just that.

Finally! Now i realize that i never tried looking for the manual just tried to find the hotas mapping info . Thanks a lot for that link, also lots of interesting info there.

I looked everywere for this and only managed to find the f15e hotas mapping. I assume they are similar but would like to know the actual f15c mapping too.

Thanks for sharing you version of this, its amazing how one forgets so easily after a while things that you didnt think about. Nice to have a quick or more detailed startup procedure.

Little late to the post but amazed as everyone else. If an su27 is developed as a full dcs module, i will buy whatever you release even though i will only fly the flanker forever pausing only to have fun on the fw190 :joystick:

Great! finally i will be able to give planes as a present and not get the "i wanted one from cars"

I loved every chapter and watched it many times when they showed it up here which was on the early 90s. There were 3 seasons i think. There was one with the motorcycle transforming suits which were the coolest thing ever at that time.

Thanks for that great vid of the mig (whish it was longer). I love when you can see the pilots pov.

Well if you really liked far cry 2 (which i seem to be the only one) you wont like this one too much. It just feels like a lot of cool features mashed up while far cry 2 for me was a great experience all together.
-
I would like to know more about this too. I know that the dcs recommended 8 second at around 15000 feet works every time for me. Now when i try to release from a very different altitude i start to loose a lot of the accuracy i have at that particular altitude.

robert123456 replied to robert123456's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
The problem with giving us what we want is that we then start asking why they arent giving us what we will want next  So new su27 model and pit huh? where is my fully modeled su35! (no trying to be rude on anyone i laugh because i end up feeling the same too) -
Latest FC3 Update 4/1/13
robert123456 replied to robert123456's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
fc3 aircraft and dcs aircraft are different. A dcs mig 29 would mean clickable pit and afm among other things i suppouse. As said surely you could fly either version and still would be a mig 29. Of course thats assuming there will be a dcs:mig29, its just a community wish for now. -

If i would have the money i would look into modding the afterburner 2 arcade to make it functional with dcs. But who knows how much time and money and knowledge would that require. http://sega-memories.blogspot.com.ar/2010/04/introducing-kevin-kerinert-most-sega.html

Payware Models for DCSW (ONLY External 3D Models ! )
robert123456 replied to HungaroJET's topic in DCS Modding
Well its complicated to answer. I understand how much work goes into making a detailed 3d model and i know its a lot. On the other hand i personally care only for flyable external models as long as they allow performance to be good. I would pay for detailed 3d cockpit, but i would only pay for it if the cockpit was fully clickable too and thats something beyond the 3d modeler ground. Ed is releasing quality 3d cockpits so far, so i dont know how much room for improvement is there. -
It depends on your camera, i have a cheap a4tech pk35n and didnt need any filter. Led brightnes depends on the type of led, power supply and the resistances between those two. You can go to the freetrack website look for the guides and make your own clip as bright as you want. Also playing with your camera exposure settings as well as freetrack settings should be enough to make any led visible enough.

New Su-27 model coming for FC3 / DCSW.

AFAIK the cockpit is more of a growing rumour than official news, hopefully it will keep growing till its true :joystick: -
Is there any way to go on after touching the grass?
robert123456 replied to robert123456's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
On the random aspect could it be that the ground has different surface rigidity according to wet dry, etc? I dont know if that is modeled. Yes for me it wouldnt need much, just after the repair animation you wait x sec and your aircraft gets moved to the parking area, its just frustrating that after dodging 4 missiles and making a succesfull landing with your jet full of holes you are beaten by some mud  I wont argue that little people repairing the plane and a crane in the future would be great :D Ill try to play more with my rudder to see if i can get some movement next time. -
So during a mission i landed to rearm and needed some repairs after some aaa fire. As i touched down the runway i found out that some of the fire damaged my right tyre so my plane wondered to the side of the runway and landed on the dirt, no crashing or further damage. So i requested repairs and got the repairs but my aircraft was still on the mud and couldnt continue the mission due to that. So is there any way around to continue the mission or restarting is the only option? how does this get managed in reality? i suppouse the aircraft gets trailered to the runway again. Thanks.

New Su-27 model coming for FC3 / DCSW.
robert123456 replied to Eight Ball's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Amazing thanks  -
It is a great sim indeed and has more depth than one would think. When you get the master caution light check the caution light panel (page 164 on the manual so you know what it is) and see what does it tell, i.e. which light is flashing so you know what the alarm is for. As for landings im no expert but one thing i learnt is to not get impatient and the more prepared (distance, heading, speed, etc.) the easier the landing.

Yes i think we are very lucky big publishers dont care about this market, or else the most realistic we would get is tom clancys hawx or battlefield 3. Many game genres died in the hands of publishers and many other live in the hands of independent studios.
