I might have been seeing something, because I don't know why, but I was flying the Sabre earlier and hopped into the clouds for a few seconds. I wasn't really paying much attention, but I think for a split second I may have seen some condensation on the canopy. Not 100% sure though, may have just been a combination of my eyes being stupid and my dirty screen, lol. I know its not fogging but still, its a start :D

Is there any way to restart an in-progress campaign? I'm HIGHLY unhappy with how my current one is, I'm only a few days in and pretty much out of fighters.

Its quite simple really: 68 to 20 degrees? The simple answer is to make 48 different flight models, which the jet must change through as it progresses from one degree of sweep to the next :P

So wait, what exactly does the new DCS update mean for this campaign? I thought we didn't have any ground u its that were going to be spawned? Unless that means the SAM sited as well. I'm not sure anymore, someone help >_<

Yes it might help that the Kh-66 is an A-G missile as opposed to an AA one.

That's odd, because I can't get this thing to turn at any acceptable rate for combat whenever I'm below 4/500km/h.

Turn on the Sight switch, located on the bottom row next to the gun switch on the right vertical panel thing there with all the other important switches. Next, turn on the switch for the glass itself, located on the bottom of the box with the paper on it, that houses the electronics and stuff for the gunsight. Edit: lordy, 4 posts since I started typing my answer. >_<

Fuzing cannot be changed like in the A-10 as far as I know. I'm relatively sure all cluster bombs you load on the MiG-21 are set on timers before they open, which are most likely changed by the ground crew before flight.

No, my friend, thats not how damage works in WRD. It's much, much more complex than that. Otherwise there wouldn't need to be people making tables revolving around hit damages, AP values, and other stuff. This game isn't really a good source for anything.

I was able to do pretty good against the phantom, I'm gonna have to run through the guns training a bit more in the near future though... I would have had him with just a little bit more time, but I pulled too hard and went over the allowed AoA, stalled bad, and hit the ground. Other than that I kept finding I was getting good angles on him constantly during turns. It usually helps to keep the afterburner going while in a turn fight, otherwise you'll bleed speed quickly. Fly hard, fly aggressive, and you'll come out on top.

Should hire James Earl Jones to do it again like they did with the A-10 :P

The DCS AI is known to cheat, uses a different FM, and is pretty much perfect when it flies, as long as it doesn't have to think hard (I.e. Formations, dogfighting, etc)

I've got the Rhino as well, although I don't have a completed profile yet. What I like to do is play the game, and map controls that seem important as I come across them. So far I've only mapped about 6 different things apart from setting curvature, deadzones, etc. But like the others say, create your own profile that way you can use your own preferences (one thing I use across all aircraft is using what's closest to the TMS switch on the A-10 or F-16 for lock, forward to lock and back to unlock, even if the aircraft doesn't have a system like that.) Plus, I find it easier to memorize that way.

Soooooo... Leatherneck guys..... I uhh... I was wondering if you were going to be releasing the MiG at midnight tonight in, uhh, in whatever European time zone you might be so... Oh no, it wasn't your flying abilities as much as some of the comments about the aircraft you made being like those of someone who doesn't know much about the aircraft as well as being pretty unprofessionally done, what with the cursing and all. I know, muh America, muh first amendment rights, etc but still, decency is decency.
