  1. The 132nd Virtual Wing is looking for combined arms users that would be interested in joining the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron, which consist of JTAC's using Combined Arms. The JTACs will be participating in combat operations supporting ground forces with CAS. JTAC's can expect to work with multiple CAS flights from various virtual organizations, the JTAC can also expect to work with human AWACS controllers requesting air support, and providing sitrep's and coordination. All CAS procedures will be according to real-world procedures, and the 132nd Virtual Wing will provide a real-world JTAC for JTAC/CAS lessons. The 132nd Virtual Wing have conducted successful combined operations with the following virtual organizations: 3rd Wing, 5e EVC, Masterarms, INTA HUMAR (JTAC), RAF Air UK, AMVI and the 476th. The 132nd Virtual Wing normally conducts its events around 2000 -2300 CET, with normal trainings on Wednsdays and combat operations on Sundays More information about 132nd Virtual Wing and our operations can be found in this thread: 132nd Virtual Wing - ED Forum 132nd Virtual Wing Website If anyone would be interested, please let me know in this thread, or by sending me a PM here on this forum.
  2. I agree with FlightControl, and hope that ED can fix all or some of these bugs.
  3. Hello! Yes, there are several possibilites availeble. You should check it out, and find the one that work for you: DCS Simple Radio Standalone: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169387 UniversRadio http://tacnoworld.fr/universradio/ Aries http://ariescon.com/
  4. Hello. I am experiencing some problems with my gaming rig while flying the DCS A-10C. Almost everytime I play in MP on our dedicated server I get a connection timed out. Server Ping timeout. During the last days I have been trying to isolate the issue and figure out what the issue is. I suspect it is connected to my gaming rig, as I have done a test today where I ran the mission on my old laptop, and there I did not have any such disconnects. While doing it on my gaming rig, it causes me to get the disconnect almost everytime. Some times it can happen fairly late in a mission (30-60 minutes), but normally it occurs within the first 10 minutes, during startup. I have tried with a fresh DCS install, repared DCS, deleted saved games, disabled any mods, but the results appear to be the same in any case. Here is the information from yesterdays testing: Attached are the log files from both my laptop and my gamingrig from today. Does anyone know what the issue can be? 6. A new video from the 132nd Virtual Wing. This video is from the KA-50 perspecive, and shows a advanced training exercise where the KA-50's are conducting escort of a MI-8 flight conducting a troop insertion into a combat zone, where a JTAC and FAC(A) are coordinatin multipe CAS assets into action
  7. This video shows a training with the 132nd Virtual Wing. The goal of the training was to conduct a complex CAS scenario with mulitple assets, that required coordination between JTAC on the ground and FAC(A) in the air. In addition a troop insertion was conducted by a MI-8 helicopter escorted by 2x KA50s. Perspective in this move is from KA-50, SHARK flight.

  10. Hello there nharmsen It will probably be easier for groups to reach out to you, if you provide some information about where you are located and what days /what time of day you can fly. I know there are several KA-50 groups out there, and you should be able to find one of your liking.
  11. I have the same issues. See post here for logfiles: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2855899&postcount=16
  12. Ok, now I have been doing some testing, and have also attached the logs, both from my client, and from the server. Today, I was able to fly a full mission, when I was on a random multiplayer server. Took off, completed some attacks and landed again. Later when I tried on the 132nd server, I kept getting the same crashes, with the connection interrupted. Tried various things, disabled any mods, did a DCS repair, deleted our skins, saved the DCS saved games folder. In the end, I tried with a friend from my squadron and created just a simple mission, with a few units, and then I was able to complete the mission again. However, I am the only one in our virtual wing that experience the issue, so I find it hard to belive that it is the mission file that is the problem. If anyone could look at the log files and make any sense of what the problem is, it would be very helpful. I could not upload all the log files, so I have them in the links below: Client: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tvy3tsjg6vuf8tp/AAA2Mv4rEBmLkEOtYOGaN16Sa?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/sh/nu6ax7o8hy81vi6/AACqDnr0kcIY0lVC5ezKdKP4a?dl=0 Server: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9veanhin5qs547h/AAApXEPwtXgI_jW8iLcjU07ta?dl=0 (Also, the the dates I have been trying and had these issues are the 26th of July and the 24th of July, in case there are many dates in the logfiles)
  13. I am experiencing the same issue. Have anyone found a fix for this issue? I have recently updated to Windows10, and gotten a new ISP, including a new router.
  14. This is really good news! Thanks for your great work! Looking forward to the additional features.
  15. Good luck to you and the 333th!
  16. Here is an example on how it can be done in DCS:
  17. Ciribob: For the encryption feature, would it be possible to add a function so that the player would need to set the key fill (could be a set amount of characters, for example 4), and then in order to be able to communicate, when speaking encrypted, everyone need to have the same fill (same characters).
  18. I agree, this will make the work of the ATC/AWACS Controllers easier.
  19. A quick example on a standard CAS mission in the 132nd: ATC GND ATC TWR ATC APPROACH AWACS - CHECK-IN AWACS - Controller freq (After check-in, remains on this freq while in the combat zone) JTAC - CAS freq (When arriving, checking in with the JTAC for doing CAS) (Optional AWACS : Inflight Report net during RTB) ATC APPROACH ATC TWR ATC GND
  20. Sounds very good! Is it possible to resize the window where the radios are shown? Yes if possible, AWACS/GCI should also have the oppertunity to input secure radio, in order to cmmunicate with flights under their control And please note, I am not a programmer, and do not know what is possible or not, I just come up with suggestions and functions that would increase the flexibility of the radiomod. So I might come with suggestions that are either difficult or impossible to program in a practical way.
  21. I agree with what Aginor wrote above, to have 8-10 radios to operate for a AWACS/ATC controller would be optimal. If possible, these radios should have the possibility to adjust the volume, and turn them completely off. As Aginor also wrote, it can be done with fewer radios of course, but it wil increase the flexibility if one can monitor more frequncies.

  23. Sounds good. I think this is really promising and interesting to follow. Currently we are still on the sideline, as it still are lacking some features we need for our events, but with the progress you have made so far, I hope this will be come in due time, and once those features are in place, the 132nd would be happy to participate in any testing in larger scale. - Can you describe a little on how GCI support is working? How many radios will a controller have availeble? We currently use human controllers both as ATC controllers and AWACS controllers during missions, so this feature is very important for us. - Can you describe/explain a little on how CA is working? We are using human JTAC's in our missions and thus this is of course also very important for us. Dont hesitat to let me know if I/we can be of any support.
  24. Cribob: Very promising work so far based on what I can read. I have not been able to test this yet, but will look into this when distance limitation and line of sight i in the works. In the 132nd we have run large MP Coop missions, currently limiting it to 32 players. The reason is that we way back did a test with about 50 players, and then had TS crash, as TS could not handle 50 players in the same channel talking (We used Aries for that specific test, but testet also without the plugin, and people just talking) With this radiomod, do you currently have an estimate how many players that can use the software at the same time? (We are looking for ways to increase the number of participants on our events, but currently we can not do it with using TS as the base for the radio mods).
  25. The 132nd have a A-10C squadron that might suit you, depending on how you like to operate and fly in DCS. Our recruitment is currently on hold, probably until the fall, as we train new members and conduct our summerbreak period. Feel free to check us out, and let me know if you have any questions. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=130892 http://www.132virtualwing.org
