Towsim Thank you for a great program. We in the 132nd Virtual Wing have now converted to ARIES, and we think it is a great tool to increase the immersion for our flights. One feature request for the Gossip box: Would it be possible to add a feature to the gossip box where the controller can record a message, and play it in a loop on a frequency? The reason for the request is to have ATIS information that can change when using dynamic weather, and it would be a very immersive to include this function for longer missions that span more than a few hours. But again, thank for a great piece of software

Congratulations with the new squadron and best of luck to the Flying Jokers!

I will gladly help test TARS Headspace! Feel free to send me a pm with information about testing We in the 132nd enjoy your software very much, so thanks for your good work! -
Thanks TeeJay! A small bug in the post with the videos not working, is now fixed!

Hello everyone! It is a great pleasure to finally be able to announce the existence of the 132nd Virtual Wing. 132nd Virtual Wing was initially created in July 2013 when a group of members from the former 138th Virtual Wing decided to leave the 138th because we wanted to organize and fly in a virtual wing according to our own ambitions, which were aimed at flying the DCS simulator as a realistically as possible in a serious but friendly atmosphere. The 132nd were thus created to make it possible for us to reach this goal. We have spent the time since July 2013 at setting up a website to suit our needs, a dedicated training program for the various squadrons, conducted limited recruitment to get more pilots to fly with. We still have work to do with documents and continue to revise our procedures and improve our flying, but we are now at the stage that we are very happy to announce our existence the public. The 132nd is an European based wing, with members currently from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, UK, Netherlands, USA , Germany, Italy, Hungary, France and Estonia The 132nd Virtual Wing consist of the following squadrons: 617th : A-10C squadron. 696th: KA-50 squadron. 176th Virtual Air Control Squadron: This is our squadron for ATC / AWACS controllers. 23rd Special Tactics Squadron: This is our JTAC squadron. 259th Virtual Auxiliary Squadron: This is our squadron for flying the MI-8 494th Virtual Fighter Squadron: This is our squadron for the F/A-18C Hornet 108th Virtual Fighter Squadron: This is our squadron for the F-14B Hornet 388th Virtual Fighter Squadron: This is our squadron for the F-16C Hornet 656th Virtual Attack Squadron: This is our squadron for the AH-64 Apache Objective The objective for the 132nd Virtual Wing is: "To provide for our members the best possible combat flight simulator experience, with a focus on real-life tactics, training and command-structures to better this experience" I want to share a few videos that show 132nd in action, first the official 132nd Virtual Wing release video: Second, a video showing various flying with the 132nd. As the videos show we have been in touch with a few other virtual organizations and have been flying coop missions with 32 pilots with human ATC, JTAC and AWACS. The 132nd conducts events at 1800Z. (Wednesdays are training, and Sunday for combat missions). Our website is located at 132virtualwing.org and we can be reached at: 132ndvirtualwing@gmail.com if you have any questions about membership or flying together as a cooperative squadron. Recruiting Please visit our website, and check-out the recruiting link to get an overview on the application process. On behalf of 132nd Virtual Wing NECK

Thanks Headspace! Great news -
Great! Will there also be a possibility to add coordinates, or is it possible to implement this in the future?
-
Yes, I know that, I saw that on the LotATC site in the roadmap section, but I looking for the possibility to actually add coordinates aswell, and not only the annotations
-
Hi again DArt! I really enjoy your LotATC, and we are using it alot in our virtual wing. I just have a question, would it be possible to add a feature where the controller can plot in coordinates and create zones in the LotATC client? That way a certain flight can be designated a airspace to work in, and it would be easy to see if they violate that airspace Again, thanks for the work, looking forward to new versions :)
-
Great work DArt! Do you have any more information regarding TARS integration?

+1 With that said, I totally agree with Noodle, its a great product and it really helps with the immersion in this sim. Thanks for your great work! -
Great! Would really add to the immersion with that feature:) When you release version 1.0, where one could make drawings among the controllers, will the controller be able to punch in a coordinate and make a point at a certain position? For example reciving groundtarget from an aircraft, so he is able to to send new aircraft to that target?
-
Thanks for your great Software Dart! Will there be a possibility to set QNH/QFE on the altitudes displayed in LotATC in the future?
-
I also had issues yesterday in MP, where the tower never answered any of my calls. I were also not able to communicate with the Tanker.

Hello DCS community! I and some fellow virtual pilots have decided to create our own virtual squadron. This will be a serious and committed squadron, based on flying realistic missions and follow correct procedures. We have deep respect for 476th and the 74th and are looking on those organizations as models that we will strive to come close to. We will work with setting up this organization during this fall and will come back with a proper announcement here on the forum when we feel that the organization is ready to be presented. However we are searching for help here in the DCS community to see if there are graphics artists or people that know of graphics artists that could assist us in the creation of our squadron logos. So, if you are someone with an above average skilllevel in graphics design and are interested in helping, or if you know of someone that could be of interest please let me know here in this thread, send me a pm here on the forum or send me a mail at neck.dcs@gmail.com. I will provide further information regarding the possible work if someone is interested and takes contact. Sincerely NECK

Have the last update of DCS world changed the use of guard frequencies for the A-10? Guard both 243.00 and 121.5 was working until the update a few days ago, but now when I tested it, it appeared that when listening on guard i lost the other frequency i am monitoring on that radio. I dont have the logs here now, but I will continue testing this the next times I fly. Just wanted to know if anyone else have had the same problems? Some squadronmates flying in KA50 also reported that there were some issues using guard after the last update. Neck -

Another question regarding the guardfunction: Are any of the radios programmed to monitor on a guard freq, event though you are using the radio at another frequency? Or do you have to switch to the guard frequency to monitor on guard, and then not be able to use that radio for other communications other than guard? -

Hi Headspace! I dont know if this is a bug or not, but after I have ejected, I can hear on all 3 radios (on the frequencies I had set when I ejected. But I can only transmit on Guard, so that works, but i guess, i should only be able to listen on guard? -

Great news Headspace! Keep up the good job! -
Would it be possible to implement a pickup of ejected pilots by the Huey? Could create cool scenarios with Huyes flying CSAR missions, with A-10s in cover:)

Question regarding TARS and KA50 (probably in the wrong thread, but didnt find a thread about the KA50) Is TARS working proprerly in KA50? Or is it only 124.00AM and 35.650FM that are working with TARS in the KA50?
