  2. Mission: 1. Situation: Enemy: - Early this morning (10th of August) intelligence picked up indications of a meeting between high-ranking russian military officers, and russian researcher participating in their chemical weapon program. Signal intelligence(SIGINT) and human intelligence (HUMINT) have confirmed a meeting taking place in the village of KARAKCHAEVSK (N43 46.686 E041 54.655), in KILLBOX P3. KARAKCAEVSK is located aproximately 65nm NORTH of SUKHUMI Meeting is taking place in what recent intelligence have assessed to likely be one of their secret facilities for reasearch for chemical weapons. - Intelligence services are currently working on getting higher resolution on the situation in the area, and to be able to provide additional information about the target area. - The city of KARAKCAEVSK is primarily a civilian city, and as such potential for civilian casualties. - Earlier intelligence have reported of troop movements NORTH of the objective area, as Russian troops are moving EAST toward the front in SOUTH OSSETIA. - It is likely that the reseach facility have a Quick Reaction Force somewhere in the vincinity of the village (nearby villages) and that some sort of Air Defence Assets are in place to protect the facility. Friendlies: - Task Force(TF) 32, a Special Operations Force (SOF) are established in the area of SUKHUMI. TF-32 are in theater to support with Direct Action raids against russian high-value targets. - RW assets are located at SUKHUMI Airbase - FW assets are located at SENAKI Airbase 2. Mission: TF-32 is tasked to conduct a raid on the meeting, destroy research facilities. Allied air assets are to support TF-32 as required to facilitate mission success. 3. Execution: Concept of Operation: TF-32 will insert from Sukhumi by helo to objective area. Conduct a Direct Action mission, and extract via the same helo force back to Sukhumi. Detailed CONOPS (Concept of Operations) will follow closer to execution. One TF-32 team (TF-32 Team 1) is already in the process of inserting to get a Observation Post(OP) onto the target area. TF-32 Team 1 have a JTAC that will be able to support the mission. Tasks: - Package commander: Coordinate with TF-32 as necessary, Coordinate with Escort Fligt lead, and Assault Flight lead, and provide a suggested timeline for the mission. Provide an estimate to TF-32 for how long they have to operate in the target area before they will need to load back up on the helicopters for egress. Together with EFL and AFL provide one or two rough CONOPS's for TF-32 for their planning. (How the Air component will conduct the mission, or what options and limitations there are availeble). - Escort Flight Lead (EFL): Coordinate with Package Commander and AFL, and support in flight planning. - Assault Flight Lead (AFL): Coordinate with Package Commander and EFL. Provide a number of seats in the HUEY's for TF-32. Coordinating instructions: - L-Hour: 0900 11th August (L-Hour: the timing when the landing force will land at its objective) - AMRL: HIGH - Questions to TF-32 or intelligence can be routed via @Neck on his email - Additional Mission Updated will be posted when availeble. - Codename: OPERATION BLACKOUT - Civilian Casualties should be minimized, in order to use this operation for propaganda purposes later. 4. Administration/logistics: - TBD 5. Command and Control: - Air Mission Commander: AWACS/Darkstar (@Neck). Supporting flights: SEAD, Air-to-Air and A-10C as strikes against targets to divert the attention from the assault. - Package Commander: @Entropy - Package consist of KA-50's for escort, Huey's for transport and A-10C's for escort and pre-L-hour strikes, and block for QRF - Escort Flight Lead: @Reznik - Assault Flight Lead: TBD (To Be Decided) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Previous mission information: Allied forces have earlier conducted a mission in Killbox P3. A mission was conducted by DRACO flight, on a SCAR mission, MSN NR CR6620 8th August. AAR from DRACO flight is availeble here: http://132virtualwing.org/index.php/page/event_debrief?id=421 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission update: https://www.dropbox.com/s/va7jr3g75cfg8ge/2016-05-27%20TF-32%20CONOPS.pdf?dl=0 Includes: - Reporting from TF-32 Observation Post, now inplace and overlooking the target area. Callsign HITMAN. - TF-32 CONOPS - Confirmation of target buildings - Misc info from Air Mission Commander
  3. The 132nd Virtual Wing have used UR for quite some time now, on fairly advanced scenarios with multipe human assets working together, including KA-50's, A-10C, MI-8, JTAC, AWACS and ATC. We highly recommend UR, and are very greatful for the fantastic effort Tacno have done with this software.
  4. Hello DCS community. The 132nd Virtual Wing, have over the last year ran a coop multiplayer campaign with participants from various other organizations (Including: 3rd Wing, 5e EVC, 476th, Masterarms, AMVI, vJabog32, 36 Stormo, Raf Air UK, 51st Pvo). The 132nd aim is to create a realistic atmosphere with various organizations working together in a complex environment. We use human AWACS/ATC controllers, in addition to human JTAC's. We use UniversRadio as a plugin to TS to be able to support realistic radio simulation for missions. (http://tacnoworld.fr/universradio/) Participants must expect some time to prepare for the mission by studying the necessary documents that is governing the scenario and the way we do operations on complex missions like this. Sunday 5th of June, at 1800Z we plan on running mission number 9 in this campaign. And for this mission we are looking for organizations that can support the mission with SU-25 SEAD flights to support a package going in to insert a SOF team going in to do a attack against a high value target. We are also looking for organizations (and controllers) for air-to-air operations, to support the mission. Here are a few examples from previous missions in this campaigns: Videos: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2517902&postcount=12 Screenshots: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2648802&postcount=21 After Action Review: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2664351&postcount=22 If anyone would be interested in participating and supporting a mission like this, please let me know in this thread or by pm, so we can discuss the details.
  5. Great work! Thank you for your contribution to the community!
  6. Thanks to the 476th for providing this excellent document for the community. Great work - As always.
  7. Thanks for you never-ending contribution to the community DArt. Looking forward to test this new latest version.
  8. Sunday the 21st of February, the 132nd Virtual Wing hosted the fifth mission of our combined event campaign. This time with participation from 3rd Wing, Virtual Jabog 32, RAF Air UK and Masterarms in addition to the 132nd Virtual Wing. In this mission we had: 2xATC controllers 3xAWACS controllers 2x JTACs 1x F-15C flight 1x SU-27 flight 1x MiG-21 flight 2x KA-50 flights 6x A-10C flights Here are a few screenshots and videos from various perspectives on this mission: F-15C’s escorting and A-10C flight after a CAS mission within Russia. F-15C’s closed in on a unknown contact, and identified it as a Russian tanker. 9. Yes, datalink is very much needed to really improve the hardcore part of this simulation. Simulating a SADL/Link16 Datalink would be a great addition, especially for AWACS controllers! Really looking forward to this interesting implementation. Keep up the great work DArt!
  10. The 132nd Virtual Wing is looking for dedicated controllers for the 176th Virtual Air Control Squadron - "The Eyes of the North". The 176th consist of both ATC and AWACS operators supporting the 132nd Virtual Wing events. The squadron supports the the air-to-ground role within 132nd Virtual Wing, and also the air-to-air role for larger combined events. For all communications were are running dedicated software (UniversRadio - http://tacnoworld.fr/universradio/) to ensure realistic communications intra-flight, between flights and air controllers as well as between flights and ground units. AWACS controllers will use LotATC (http://www.lotatc.com/) to perform their controller duties. See screenshot below for picture of LotATC and UniversRadio for controllers: On a regular basis we host our own combined events with other virtual squadrons/wings running the same realistic setup for conducting operations. For additional information about the 132nd Virtual Wing, you can check out our post here on the ED forums: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=130892 (Contains information, screenshots and movoes) or have a look at our website: http://www.132virtualwing.org If interested in joining the 132nd Virtual Wing in the 176th or any of our squadrons, please visit our website: http://132virtualwing.org/index.php/page/recruiting If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM and I will answer your questions as best I can.
  11. This would be very much appreciated from the 132nd. Just making all aircrafts show as unknown, and having controllers classify contacts based on which airfields they are operating from, or where they are coming from. This would also make it necessary to ID certain contacts during the mission to be able to classify the to friendly or hostile.
  12. Great news ideed. Thanks for testing and reporting!
  13. Of course! Sent the link on pm.
  14. A couple of screenshots from the last event in the Operation Georgian Thunder campaign with the 132nd Virtual Wing. Participation from 132nd Virtual Wing, 5e EVC, 3rd Wing, 36 Stormo Virtuale, RAF Air UK and vJabog 32 10x A-10C 3x UH-1 5x KA-50 2x JTAC 4x AWACS/ATC controllers View from LotATC from one of the AWACS controllers: View from JTAC Warrior during one of the engagements:
  15. Works very good indeed! Yesterdays mission/test had: 4x AWACS/ATC controller using LotATC 2x JTAC's 3x UH-1 5x KA-50 10x A-10C LotATC was stable for the entire event that lasted about 5 hours.
  16. Great news! We are planning a large event on Sunday as usual, and I hope we can use the rc4 version for that event!
  17. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to try the next release.
  18. Affirm, the two last licenses in addition to Looney and Makeshiftsoul was my license, plus the license I bought yesterday.
  19. Great work Snoopy! Thanks for your continious work for the DCS community. Highly appreciated!

  23. First of all, I am sorry if I appeared arrogant or rude in the misinformation comment to Sniper, that was not my intention at all. Let me clarify what I mean: The code books are still in use in NATO, and also in other operations which the US participates in. It might be the case that internally, US forces are not using authentication codes, but as a part of the alliance they do. The code books which Sniper says has been destroyed since the 90's are not destroyed. It might be the case (as I have mentioned the entire time) that Sniper have not been using them, and stopped using them at some point. But I do not think Sniper can speak for US forces and its allies as a whole. This have been my point from the original post. In the 132nd we have active duty JTAC's trained at a US JTAC school, so we have the real life experience to back up our procedures and how we do stuff in the 132nd.
  24. As i have mentioned multiple times already, that is your experience, we have a different view on this perspective and do not agree on your perspective, and would appreciate if you could avoid spreading misinformation in this thread. If you prefer to discuss this topic, please open up your own thread for further discussions. This thread is for discussions on JTAC/CAS operations in the 132nd Virtual Wing.
  25. The 132nd Virtual Wing are opening up recruitment for a maximum of 6 new pilots in the 617th Virtual Fighter Squadron flying the A-10C. In addition we are opening up for recruitment for JTAC's in our recently formed JTAC unit. New trainees will be accepted into the training program in November, and an announcement will be made on the 132nd Virtual Wing website when the trainees have been selected If interested in joining the 132nd Virtual Wing in any of our squadrons, please visit our website: http://132virtualwing.org/index.php/page/recruiting
